Economic indicators say the economy was good. The economy and GDP grew, but the working class didn’t think so. Well, when the number of illegal immigrants per year far exceeds the number of new jobs per year, then the wages of the working class people will not keep up with inflation. Under Biden, the new jobs each year was an average of 1.2 million, but the number of illegal immigrants coming in looking for jobs was over 2 million people. For comparison, under Obama illegal immigration was just 300-400K per year. So as you can now see, the border crisis was a much bigger issue than the Democrats cared to admit.

Democrats don’t see the irony of being self described humanitarians and then crying “but we won’t be able to exploit illegal immigrant farm workers and prices are going to go up!” lol.

A SIGNIFICANT percentage of those who voted for Trump work in industries that are being held up by undocumented work. The construction industry, for example, will CRUMBLE without these workers. The economy will collapse over night. And those that voted for him in these industries will suffer the most. 2026 midterms will be devastating for Republicans should they actually carry this out. Democrats should stay out of the deportation fight (getting rid of criminals is fine), but let MAGA and the business community fight it out. Obama deported many people, but it never significantly harmed the economy. If Trump carries out his plan, we will reach a critical mass where there won't be enough people to pick the crops, work in the meat processing industry, hospitality, construction, etc. Costs will rise significantly, and we will experience shortages.
