He’s fined 900 grand and seven years in prison. The guy made millions of dollars and brought over thousands of illegal immigrants into Canada. Is this the punishment? No wonder he wasn’t concerned about getting caught and got away with it such long time. Canada is a joke ?

I went to canada with my family when i was 6 years old i thought it was so beautiful the native americans treated us with kindness my dad bought me some moccisens there. It is not a felony i the US but it is in Canada so canada gets ahold of my driving records maybe they hacked in. And said i could not go into canada. I noticed they let george w. Busch in though oh well i dont think canada even pretends fainess under the law . Any way they are now letting elligals into canada and giving them a hotel room . The duplicity is absurd personally i no longer want to go to canada for anything i think the wall should be put on the northern border. @The Fifth Estate: CBSA? You should clearly say what that is, for it isn't obvious. A search of Wikipedia turned up a page for what's surely meant, https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Canada_Border_Services_Agency. I know of Canadian border crossings (between Ca. and the US) so had normal exchanges with some customs officers, but I never knew the name of the agency (of the govt) that they worked for, so CBSA meant basically nothing to me. Otherwise, the overall report is fine, and such illegal immigration tactics must be stopped.

The Canadian court should fine him twice the amount that he got illegally from his clients. If he has made tens of millions of dollars and yet he was only fined a few hundred thousand dollars, then there is no justice. It is not even a deterrent for the second or third or fourth Wang. If the price of making millions of dollars was to sit in jail for two years, then there is no justice at all. Toughen up the penalty.

Moral of the story is that crime does pay.  Ranks in 10 million, pays a 900K fine, and spends two years in Jail.  If he puts the 9.1 million left in investments while he is in jail and makes about 5% return, and then ends up out of jail with a little over 10 million again and ready to start another scam.

These criminals are actually Canada's asset. They paid millions of dollar to get permanent residency, and also paid millions of dollars to maintain the status. In the same time, they do not cost Canada anything. They do not need food stamps. They do not send their kids to public schools. They do not rely on universal health care. That is the reason why he only needs to stay in jail for 2 years and less than 1 million dollar fine. People in the bottom may not see it, however, a country's elites understand it very well.
