In 2004 I wrote a somewhat famous article called 'Top 8 reasons not to immigrate to Canada'. In short, the Canadian authorities tried to destroy my life. They made it so that I could not be employable in Canada. So I moved to the U.S. in 2005 and then some years later I moved permanently to the Philippines. I am happy that so many years later videos like yours are saying essentially the same things that I did. I was ahead of my time. I will never go back to Canada. Not to live, not to visit, not even a connecting flight. Too cold, too expensive, taxes are astronomical, no culture, no freedom, no jobs, no opportunities, only modern slavery, worst healthcare system, unbearable political correctness, crime infested/drug infested, xenophobic people, too depressing. It has become a North Korea style dictatorship in the western world.\n\n\nTheir are many reasons why Canada has fallen apart. But the number one reason is ‘multiculturalism’. My friends, multiculturalism simply does not work. Different cultures do not come together and mix, different cultures come together and clash. The world is divided into different countries for a reason: because people hate each other and only want to be with their own kind. The number two reason for Canada’s demise is ‘socialism’. In this modern era of aging populations, it is mathematically impossible for socialism to continue. The government does not have the money to take care of old people and provide healthcare, pensions and the various other benefits, even with the astronomical taxation that burdens hard working Canucks. Well Canada, you had a good run. Time for Canucks to move to an emerging country. We welcome you here in Southeast Asia.

Canada is now full of non Canadian citizens of convenience- chinese, indians, arabs, africans, latinos - all there for the benefits. Last visit to toronto and Vancouver saw and heard only non canadians. Glad to hear they're all leaving. Population replacement is never a good thing. For the next 60 years evety stays in their home country and improves it. Will be a more pleasant world.

Well. There are thousands of permanent residents from Canada who got stranded around the world in the pandemic. The travel restrictions Canada put in place for permanent residents are far out of line. I was at the airport the last week before airports got closed. I had even my return ticket printed out, checked online in. At the airport, I was told, with some other PR’s that as a PR we were not allowed to board the plane! Seriously? What country does this? For myself, I couldn’t return to Canada for 1.5 years! Panic in the first couple of weeks. Calling the Canadian embassy every week. Even asking if Canada had a way to extend the Permanent residency visa at the embassy available. No. If you are longer than 2 years away from Canada, you CANNOT RENEW YOUR PERMANENT RESIDENCY CARD! Well. Lucky me, I didn’t had to work. After 14 years of working and living in Canada, I just had enough from a country that is telling none Canadians that we are people of 2nd class. And no. I am not from India. I’m from Germany and we cannot have a 2nd passport like other countries. I just got rid of everything in Canada. I stayed in Panama. Renewed last year my German passport. Got a “lifetime” residency visa in Panama. Don’t have to be worried about heating costs anymore. It is warm year around. Maybe it was a good thing that Canada gave me the “2nd class human” feeling. That’s when you figure out in times of emergency what countries do for immigrants. Canada was one of a handful countries in the pandemic who blocked permanent residence card owners from returning!

Too many young people coming with not much experience and skills Plus when someone is coming on a student Visa to study here, Why looking for a job and survival money while Canada issued the Visa for study only ( Moderate job/20 hrs). Also immigration to Canada do not give any Job guarantee. The real problem is Canadian and Provincial governments obsession with taxation rather than investment. All governments all have a spending problem too. \n\nTax our income, tax our after tax dollar that we buy stuff with, tax the stuff we transport goods with, tax the land we live on with after tax dollars, oh yea and let’s tax the money the government rebates us cause that makes sense.

Canada is now a much different place than in 1996 when I moved to this country which I called home since. Cost of leaving is really punishing for many and retiring here while maintaining a decent life style is almost impossible for regular people. I'm already planning my retirement in other places and I'm well on my way of achieving it. This is the unfortunate situation which many Canadians are currently facing. I work and live in canada and have no interest in living here in long term. Canadians born and brought up in canada struggle themselves cant afford to buy a house and live a comfortable life and invest in canada. Canada is good at selling you the idea of moving,working and studying here. but it isn't worth the trouble at all.

Like any other country, Canada is not for everyone. I am an immigrant who acquired Canadian Citizenship recently. I live in a good neighborhood with a decent house. There are many like me. Your own numbers, 17.5% immigrants left. Okay. But 83% lived and even if many are considering at least 70% are happier.

The U.S. is the ultimate planned destination for the immigrants going to Canada these days and the Canadian citizens with good education and training. Canada is easy to get in because Canada needs the immigrants money but the U.S. is where the real money and opportunities are!

I have lived in UK, Australia, US and Canada. I spent 2 years in UK, 1 year in Australia then moved to US for my masters where I also worked for 6 years. So total of 8 years in US, I moved to India and had adjustment issues. Then 1.5 year later I moved to Canada as permanent resident. After 2 years, I ended up leaving Canada back to India. Some people suggested wait for another 13 months and return with Canadian citizenship but I had enough. What I have realized is, for tech/scientific roles, Canada or other countries are no match for the US. \nAlso, Americans are much kinder and open than people in Canada/UK/Australia. All these countries are expensive, quality of work and pay is not good. I was getting 150K CAD in Canada, where I pay 2100 CAD as 1 BHK rent. In India, I make 90K CAD and 2 BHK rent is 400 CAD. To me, America has no replacement, that's why people dont want to leave the US. I was not willing to spend whole life waiting for green card, and other countries are no match for US. That's why came back to India fro second time, despite the issues here.

I'm a Brit who has lived here 13 years and my advice to any Brit thinking of moving here is not to. If you can live in a nice county and you have a decent job you are better off in the UK. There is a lot of decline in urban areas here, tweaking drug addicts and tent encampments the likes the UK has NEVER seen. It's incredibly expensive to rent if you want to live anywhere remotely interesting. The infrastructure is so bad, unless you have a vehicle or lots of money to keep flying, you will feel incredibly isolated here. Brits are lucky to have such a great network of public transport and close proximity to Europe and all the cheap flights to get you around there. The work life balance is not as good as the UK. Most jobs here will start you on 2 weeks a year and only increase as your service grows. So after 5 years of service you will get 3 weeks and so on. Don't expect 5 weeks vacation until you have put 20 years in with most jobs. Canada is boring, it really is and so are most Canadians who also seem to have no idea what a sense of humour is. I have found new immigrants to be the friendliest, especially those from China, India, Vietnam and the Philippines. Now to the wokeness of the place, oh gosh, it's so bad. The Alberta premier has just announced very sensible and much needed gender reforms which 95% of Canadians agree with. These reforms will protect young gay kids mostly. The left have completely lost their mind over this. Women here are in genuine fear of speaking out regarding their privacy and rights to single sex spaces and sports. In the UK , this is slowly improving I believe. I'm putting things in place so I can leave. I hope things improve once the liberal government are gone but it will take many years to get this country back on track.

Canada is only good for rich immigrants… if you are poor and want upward mobility then waiting in the queue because thousands of Canadian born citizens are unable to match to any residencies

Canada is becoming worse every day anyway!!! Salary are low (while cost of living is skyrocketing), which is why we have so many Canadians and immigrants who are becoming so anxious, depressed and facing all sorts of mental problems), people are moody, quality of life is decreasing and transport is trash compared to France and the lack for doctors is making this country look like a third world\nEconomy!!! Yes. Canada is not like what used to be as a good country to immigrate to in mid or late 1970s. Unfortunately, job opportunities, salary, wages have not kept us with high cost of living in cities like Toronto and Vancouver. Also, road infrastruture have not kept 12:12 up with population growth. People should do research, check out more before immigrating to Canada these days. If you are moving to Canada for peace and political stability, then yes. Otherwise, think twice! Also, the requirement for Canadian employers to ask for Canadian experience has existed since at least the 70s. But it is absurd and stupid for employers to ask job applicants for Canadian experience since the world is highly interconnected through internet these days. Provided you are working in western world or English speaking countries, job functions and management styles are basically very similar whether it is high tech industry, banking, investment companies etc.

According to many, it is not immigrants; it is native Canadians leaving Canada. That's so sad to hear. Because they didn't like some government policies, they decided to leave the country.They don't love their country.Their love is conditional. Good luck to those so-called Canadians. It would be a great experience and a life lesson for them on how to survive and live in another country. They will come back soon as refined humans.
