So when are all the Americans who support Ukraine going to suit up and head over and do the fighting. Do you realize we had to BORROW the money to send to Ukraine? So a non ally, non NATO member sovereignty is more important than bankrupting the US.

If look at another perspective, if Trump did not impose tarrifs, then Canada will continue to sell the cars back to US for high profits. Trump mentioned about this, he is not happy. Actually I can understand Trump and what he is trying to do. If he is not harsh, Canada will never change taking advantage of US, not spending on own military.... Etc. US empire is declining fast, and Trump knows this. He is desperate to make his own country great again and stop the decline even though what he must do is going to be very unpopular among all americunts' friends and allies. The same for EU and troublemaker Ukraine who started the war by arrogantly provoking giant superpower neighbor Russia. US cannot afford to fund money, soldiers, weapons for war anymore. If EU wants to support, EU can go ahead without US. Trump is trying to save his own country so he is not wrong.

The actions by the current American administration will hurt everyone globally… for what? A vanity project? As an American, this is so painful to see my fellow citizens choose such sweeping destruction of good relations between long term allies. It’s absolutely heart wrenching to witness this along with all of the other atrocities that have happened since January 20.

Trump is isolating the US States from our western allies. And ultimately the rest of the world. This is going to ruin US Security. And making us vulnerable in the global economy. We are not going to make it without having our allies around the world.

Our allies as long as they make profits

Long-term, nobody will trust the USA after this. US voters cannot be allowed to destroy trade, democracy and peace worldwide. All Western democracies will work towards insulating themselves from US influence, and that will impact the standards of living inside the US. The US will have to ally with Arab, Russian & Chinese 'friends' to survive, and that will remove the US from any semblance of a country guided by human morals, much less, the Christian religion.

What does any of this do but isolate America from its strongest allies?

I am a USA citizen and a veteran. Trump's behavior doesn't represent this countries heart. This is an embarrassment and stains what we all believe and fought for. Canada, Mexico, Greenland and Europe beware. It seems Trump's greed and ego are out of control. These actions seem to be putting your countries in notice that Trump doesn't view you as allies. I believe he will pull out of NATO . Please pull together with Europe and become non reliant on Trump. Become an economic force without this wanna be king. Examine protecting your borders from Trump . Hopefully we the people of the USA will act to take our country back before it's too late.

I have been a pro-America citizen for almost 79 years, but our administration is dead wrong. Canada is the best neighbor we could possibly have, and we have slapped them in the face. This administration loves authoritarian leaders and dismisses the interests of our long-time friends and allies. Why would we ever believe our president when he promises to make life better for us.
