Brampton is bad. Has been since 80s\n Brampton was were we would go to do a big shop or if we needed to go to the mall

I have been their in europe …few countries …i felt the completely opposite behaviour with what with this guy …I have been aggressive sometimes with people …once I was in paris …I threw a chair on the mirror in the place I was staying …the hotel staff was still polite …and big lad nigga gatekeeper …put me out …and gave me a cigarette …police once has some security boundation ..not letting anybody go even the native people ..they let me …once in a club native people were being rejected ..but let me in … i must say people being ,even police being extra nice even more than native people , common people ,everrybody , wherever I have been , I had special treatment like I am from another world …their …in amsterdam also …girls coming to me ..saying I want to talk to u ..one was very elegant American girl she was very cute …I was drunk …concurrently few more…I saw her next day ..i said hi …she was sitting outside ..long story …I loved such treatment …but I know things are not same for everybody …such incidents should be addressed appropriately but same time not be spreaded …because that draws a line between the communities , which is not good and which made a wrong perception about communities ,not all are such fools ..i see such foolish behaviour of the people of same communities..here in india or anywhere in the word ..labelling it a act of racism..i think it would do more wrong than good to the purpose ..i don’t believe racism exist to me …if someone call me black ..I will say you are white …thats it …we see white people or black people or people native from same place fighting each other …I think it is just a act of foolish guy try to humiliating another guy …which has to be addressed properly but not to be labelled as racism ..that further draws the line and create wrong perception…racism exists because of inferiority complex.. if somebody calls someone black or something like that … if that person has inferiority complex he will feel humiliated…. that inferiority complex has to be eradicated ..so all feel equal …so if someone call black … reply should be u r white ..i think so …

My family lived outside of Brampton when I was 10 years old in 1975. We used to visit the local mall to shop and my brother and sister and I all took swimming lessons there.\nWhat a culture shock it would be to go there now.\nI'm so glad my family moved to Alberta in 77'.

This is the price to be paid. Canada needs desperately imigration, otherwise it will disappear as a nation in 2 or 3 generations.\nBirth rates is too low. Nobody wants kids because life in freezing countries is too expensive due winter gears, hitting, cars, insulation in every building, store or house, gas, salt on streets,  shovelling, mandatory insurance for everything, health care is a joke, and so on. It is endeless. \nCanada is definitely an uninhabitable place. 92% of canadians live very close the US border due the miserable freezing endeless drepressing 9 months cold weather. Nobody wants go north. Freezing weather makes life unbearable and extremely expensive. If we had a free US-Canada border, Canada would  be empty..\n\n.

This whole idea of groups of people taking over and changing a landscape is the cycle of human history. White Europeans aren't the first 'Canadians' lol. It may make people uncomfortable but just deal and remember we are all just humans trying to make a life, have a family and income. Expats do go to other countries and make their own little clubs, take over land and business. People seek opportunities no matter where they go. The only point I would agree with here is that the rate of immigration may not be sustainable with the housing shortage etc.

I grew up in Malton (borders Brampton) in the 1980's and it was all Western European and Canadian folks and it was great. Such a sense of community and everyone knew everyone. Us kids would stay out until the street lights came on and played in Parks. It was really safe. We moved away in 2006 because the area had gone such down hill by 1999 and the crime was horrible. Stolen cars, alcohol and drug abusing Punjabi folks and the domestic partner violence of the Indian men beating the crap out of their wives was insane. (I had a friend that was a Peel Region Police officer who ended up leaving because she couldn't take seeing it any longer). I have nothing against Immigration, because my dad was an immigrant, but I do have a problem with the amount of any one country we let in, and the types of people that we let in that contribute to crime and area degradation. It's so sad the slums that have become in Brampton and Malton since we left. I'm glad we got the heck out of there when we did. I feel sorry for all those that are stuck there still. Furthermore with such an influx of immigrants into one area it has driven the house prices and rent through the roof because the pace of immigration was nowhere near the housing starts, and cities think that everyone needs to be packed in like sardines and when you have that many people living in close proximity and you have such expensive living costs it's a disaster waiting to happen and it brings along with it tons of crime and drugs. The Trudeau government really messed up this country and the GTA Cities like Brampton are a shining example of that. It's sick that we pay as much as we do for government at all levels that are this idiotic. It's time we protested in the street and made the government at all levels fear the public again or it's never going to change.

We have the same problem. I actually like the people, but….somehow, immigrants have managed to have been able to acquire the vast majority of retail jobs in our area. How is that possible? There are businesses and fast food chains with not one white person working as an employee. I spoke to a former worker that was at one of these businesses for years and asker her WTF happened? She told me that the company hired a new manager from India, within 6 months, half the staff were Indian, local students were not being hired for part time jobs, only Indians, by the end of the year, every single employee was Indian. \nShe along with other quit their jobs because….not because they’re racist, but because not only were they being treated differently than the now majority brown workers, but they were being made to feel excluded because…the manager and the new staff all spoke a different language, they would all work together in a group not speaking English at all, saying things and laughing making it pretty obvious that they were making fun of the white employees. The “manager” would ignore the white staff’s complaints and he would then seemingly punish them by giving them less hours, change their duties and give “the good shifts” to the new brown people to the point where the white people were made to feel alienated as well as cutting back their hours leaving them with not enough hours to make a living. “This is Canada Mother Fecker” these people need to speak our language when they’re in public or at the workplace with “Canadians” or…employers should fire them. I will note, that the A&W that this happened at, has changed not only by every single employee being brown, but the service is not near as friendly, they all speak to each other in a different language behind the counter.. the seating area is not even close to being clean, the tables usually are left with trays and garbage that aren’t being cleaned as customer leave. It so bad sometimes that I literally have to pick a dirty table and remove the garbage myself because every available table has not been cleaned….and the bathrooms …. I don’t even want to talk about it they’re so disgusting. And when you complain….they turn to other employees and speak a different language… so we have no idea about WTF they are actually doing or saying about the issue. “ Thank you Sir, we will take care of that.” And the next day…it was the same. I’ve stopped going there along with everyone that I know…our work crew along with our families can no longer support such a dirty, rude and disrespectful business.

question is why haven't those that were born here not been able to be successful even going through the streamlined education system to develop outside the dream of creating a business / corp. - leaving would be a goal if 50k was my only focus; what i'm saying is never making six figures should've got me fleeing this common wealth land long time ago. It's disheartening and has caused a nihilistic rift in believing in self grown beyond soul searching one's own talents. impeach Tru.dump and get this country out of the DUMP and get off the high horse of believing in Professionals/Titles/Fakesperts/Trust_THE_Science all together and society will get instantly better on those merits on it's OWN! Canada isn't building enough houses for all the people its letting in, our infrastructure is in desperate need of upgrades. we have no rapid transit outside of Toronto. The Liberals are just fleecing new immigrants and international students because they've tapped out the Canadian middle class. Canada needs to limit newcomers to 250,000 a year and put an end to the international student scam. Trudeau's WEF approved immigration policies absorb like olestra and the cost of living is killing Canadians and destroying the dreams of locals and newcomers alike. people have been misled about the type of life they are going to get in Canada and that is sad. the government is lying that everything is fine. cost of living and crime are out of control and the Liberals are the biggest thieves of them all.

the amount of immigrants that have moved into my Small town Amherst NS has well surpassed us AmherstStonians that have lived here ! im a 37 year old white female born and raised Canadian that speaks English and everywhere i go there is a employee that doesnt understand what im saying, everywhere i look there is a place posted for rent thats overpriced & a business being sold to the wealthy , where the take the small town feel and what do these newcomers bring ?? nothing !!? they take from Canada & i wish they would go back to where they come from ! your not Canadian and u know it \nbut they prob don't understand my english right

I’ve said that many times in Ontario , I don’t feel I’m in my own country , when you go in stores many working there aren’t friendly , don’t acknowledge you speak over the PA. You can’t understand them when calling to work on tails are on the floor.. immigrants having taken over our country even on the streets , they don’t adapt to our country laws or way of living , it’s like being in the twilight zone . All u ppl blaming Trudeau, I've lived in Brampton since 94, this change began happening long long ago to the point where we have been minorities since far far before Trudeau. This has nothing to do with Trudeau other than a continuation of what's been happening. Also if it wasn't Trudeau it would be some other name and Brampton would be exactly the same. We live in a world where we get simulated choice. If I ask you do you want to make $1 per hour or $2 per hour you'd 9bviously choose $2 but let me ask this are you gonna go do your j9b for $2 an hour? Well you chose to be paid $2. That one lady said it best if we immigrate to a foreign country we would have to adapt to their culture. People should do it here. I have no issues with immigration or immigrants. Have your church’s or mosques and practice your beliefs but don’t expect your new host country to bend to your wishes or beliefs, the former Australian Prime Minister said it best “you chose to come here we didn’t ask you come. the country is predominantly Christian if you don’t like it, go back to where you came from or find somewhere else to to live.”

I would not go into the north east Calgary India Enclave for any reason -- it is a foreign country now. Chinatown (can I even call it that) is lovely, great food, nice people. I love the Italian, German, African sections and cultures in the town. But India simply takes over.

Why’s the white population declining in cities like Brampton where immigrant populations are soaring? Go to an immigrant owned business, they don’t hire white people. Go to immigrant owned rentals, they don’t house white people. So why would white Canadians move to a city or area that won’t house or employ them? Even canadian universities are turning down more and more Canadian born students in favour of international students because they pay more. It’s sad to see Canadian born youth being rejected by their own country institutes. You would never see this in India or China or Pakistan.

Is there a smart they won’t come to Canada because even right now Canadians are on the street. It’s just not a good time. Canadians are good people it’s not their fault. I am Canadian and I feel like that the only way is to leave Canada and go for Europe. At least there I know that my work would help make my life better than Canada where I feel that no matter how much work is done, Canada will stay the same

Moved here from Slovakia in 2016. I would never believe that one day we will think about going back... \nMain problem here is Canadians. Most of them are submissive, not having own opinion TV endlessly trusting liberal people who absolutely don't think for themselves or about something that is served to them and refuse to see the truth. That's why Communists are having it so easy to turn this place into new USSR... Canadians only care for themselves and are willing to have 6 jobs, give up their kids to daycare, they'll do whatever they're told...\nIt's not economics. These people need to just stop going to other countries to ruin them. If they hate their home country so much to flee, why would they want to implement the same political or religious policies that made their home country to unbearable??

Every would-be student who thinks Canada is a better country to live better think 500 times, not just twice. In 2024, if you moved to Canada, you will not only be living in poverty for decades. Stay away. 20, 30 years ago I would have said the opposite but not anymore. You will be met with the worst shock of your life that you won't be able to recover from unless you go home to your country of origin or consider other countries to study in or move to.

Singapore Airlines is an absolute treat to fly on. I gather in a microcosm, it is interesting to compare Air Canada and Singapore airline or all Nippon airways, with Air Canada. Air Canada is very expensive for a one or two hour flight, not so in Southeast Asia. Air Canada service is horrible, intimidating, and nasty. Singapore airlines and all Nippon airways, is exactly the opposite. Air Canada makes it very difficult for you too make claims on cancelled flights, broken luggage, and breaches of contract. Singapore airlines and other airlines in Southeast Asia go out of their way to advert a claim. The taxes on a ticket with Canada is horrendous, both indirect and direct taxes, in Singapore and all Nippon airways, much more reasonable. I think when you compare to airlines or multiple airlines against Air Canada, Air Canada is a microcosm of economics, workplace normality, and courteousness. Canadians will always say “I am sorry. “but let me assure you for somebody that is both, culturally Asian and Canadian, they don’t mean it a bit. The culture is more passive aggressive than anything else. Canadians are distant, and have a very, very remote education on their own country. I also have to give credit to the Singaporean pilots. There is usually the captain, first officer, and a second officer or two upfront. Excellent training for the up-and-coming first officers and captains. In Canada, of course we don’t do this. I feel at the safety upfront, especially in an IFR environment, is being sacrificed in Canada and North America. cost is everything, will safety seems like it has taken a backseat. Second officers should be mandatory on all Air Canada flights. This is not the case anymore. Also, on a visual approach to hit the button, I would definitely give the Singapore captain the edge. The hands and feet of an air. Canada pilot has deteriorated beyond belief where, if they don’t have their flight management system and auto pilot going in full tilt, they start sweating and second-guessing themselves. I’ve witnessed this many times.

There’s a lot more going on than Trudeau allowing far more people into the country than we can possibly deal with. It seems that heads of government all over the western world are making decisions and doing things that make no sense and making things worse for people instead of better. Everything that is happening is a plan and I think it is working just the way they want it to. They and their advisors would have to be total morons incapable of even tying their own shoes if this is accidental.

There is a temporatory stop of foreigners buying home for 2 years. It use to be that a foreign student IE CHINESE)can buy home when they go to school here. They would graduate go back to their country and leave the house empty, leaving us Canadian with no home to buy or the prices are too high. The federal government accept immigrants and foreign students (more than 1 million in 2023 ) but not give the time nor finance for the provincial governments to built up the infrastructures to a accomdate them ie hospitals/doctors,schools houses…..very irresponsible of this government.

As Canadian who was a two term elected official, I would say that one large issue\nis too many government staff. These people are less than competent/unionized, and do not answer to\nthe community, rather they see themselves as superior. For instance, the BC Wildfire\nservice burned out 250 homes by Shuswap Lake last summer by lighting a backfire.\nThey told the local logging contractors they couldn’t put out the fire because the\nBCWS were the experts. Actually the BCWS crews are children with connected parents\ngoing to university. They don’t start on the fire when it is small and easy to extinguish.\nThey aren’t workers, they are sitting in class most of the year. They eat breakfast in a restaurant\nin town then get to the fire by 10ish and go home for supper around 4:30. I sold a beautiful property in Canada ten acres of maple bush with a home . Just north of Toronto .it was difficult but l read the tea leaves.....would it be worth much more today... obviously...but l was lucky to build a beautiful home on a whitesand beach in Asia.....taxes are $500.00 a year hydro $200.00....insurance and other costs are insignificant.....the big gain is peace of mind and absolute privacy with only a fraction of the sale of my Canadian home..never going back

I left after 26 years. ?. Main reasons were the poor state of kids' education, unfair taxation, cost of living and weather. I thought i would never leave Canada, but it had to happen sadly. I am sad to see such a great country going down the drain. ?

I lived on the streets of Toronto for over 3 years between 1997 & 2001. I'd always been a bisexual 'loose, wild and crazy girl' as they say, and for me it was a natural progression. When I was 20 my family immigrated here from South Africa but I was way too immature so Quebec City and I didn't get along. I and a girlfriend hitchhiked out to run wild in Toronto. The fun only lasted the summer and then I spent 3 years living on the streets there. Doing 'the job' just to get by becomes a chore for sure. I spent one winter in a tent city near the lake but too many people made it a violent place. My last winter out there I spent in the Don Valley with a small group, moving our encampment every few days. I would likely have ended up dying out there but a guy I scarcely knew at the time drove all the way to T.O. and spent a week looking for me and just by luck found me when I was at my lowest and willing to go home.

I think the country is still in recovery mode from Covid and may take several more years to get back to where it was. On rent you are correct. Over populating major cities with immigrants has caused a housing crisis especially with greedy landlords gauging people.\n\nI've been here 22 years and would not go back to the UK. My hometown is a total dump now.

I'm 36 born and raised Canadian and if I were able to get out of this country I would... I was rushed to the hospital with congestive heart problems not as far as failure but definitely issues and I waited over 14 hours in the waiting room. Taxes are out of control government is no better than a communist government with Trudeau I wish nothing good for that goof. And I don't find it going to get any better within my lifetime

All the money that went to Ukraine, could have helped this situation. Plus if all politicians are millionaires! How would they know what poor folks are going through! Canada if fake! Just a lot of talk and no action.
