When you save money for retirement, the govt takes your pension. When you try to save money from each paycheque, the inflationary prices of groceries/gas/utilities takes it away. If you need to go to a hospital or doctor visit, you have to wait months or can only settle for the most basic of services. If you try to own real estate, there's always some scheme to steal your money either by jackal tenants or the new capital gains tax. The whole persona of the Western world being the land of milk and honey is gone and has become a dark money-sucking debacle that only feeds the corrupt running the Federal reserves or World Banks. Unless you're a country like Ukraine or Israel, you get nothing.

Either the government is totally incompetent or have some more nefarious agenda , either way, we need change

The cost of living in metro Vancouver, BC is so ridiculously high that many are either sharing a suite or living in motor homes. It's gotten so bad they had to shut down the Bradner Rest Area in Abbotsford because it was full of people living in motor homes and trailers.

And Canada is way larger than the UK. Unchecked immigration and immigration in general is not ok, especially where infrastructure has not developed enough to cope with even reasonable immigration. UK is facing the same/similar problems. The fact that this is happening in many Western countries suggests there’s an agenda. Either that or the authorities are incompetent. It's not even that it's just Immigration, but it's only immigrants from 2 countries. Canada needs a cap on immigrants from each country. All these immigrants but I have never met a person from Spain? Never met a person from Brazil either. Even with immigration nobody integrates. They talk all about diversity but everything is like a Clique. The russians only hang out with other russians. The Koreans only hang out with other koreans etc.

Hi Abhu n Niku,\n\nI always love your fact based information. I wish you did more of surveys or interviews of Indian immigrants in Canada. Ideally different people from different states in India have different experiences in Canada. Plus previous qualifications, some students here do not even get up and go to college or university to attend lectures and we blame Canada for not giving them jobs. Blame Indian movies that show 2 extremely opposite sides of lifestyles of immigrants in Canada. Either as high profile business people as if they own the country or as poor labourers with 2 or more sharing a common room in a basement. Improve the perspective of people by improving the quality of movies based on immigration to western countries. You can find students who got job, car and house in Canada in 5 years and you can also see students who unfortunately couldn’t do so much. We cannot generalize things.

I was doing some historical research on the Ark of the Covenant....revealed some evidence that the 'Sephardic Jewish' folks have been hiding for thousands of years....and part of this involves the location of the Ark of the Covenant and the REAL exodus lands of the Ashkenazi Jews. They had religious and cultural differences and these folks were not of European blood. \n \nThe Sephardic Jews turned around and moved slaves into the Americas and impersonated French and Spanish settlers creating slave plantations. I know this because I took a trucker course 5 yrs ago and to obtain your class 1 or 3 cost 1.5 thousand dollars NOT 10 GRAND. Canada, like Australia and etc., faces a fundamental issue that makes it reliant on—or even more severely, dependent on—immigration. Of course discussing this fundamental issue is inappropriate for Canadians. The housing crisis is not caused by immigrants. While you can criticize immigration policies, they are merely the straw that broke the camel's back. It's similar to inflation; like, even if it remains at 2% per year, we will still experience the peaks and troughs of business cycles, just less intensely. Sure you can have a public housing program, where does that money come from? More and more tax money. Having to work harder to only end up with paying more taxes for those who either did not have the opporunities or didn't work as hard (who cares what the actual reasons are), just feels like a ripoff.

While that’s an insane amount to be behind and still living there, this wouldn’t happen as often if we fixed the damn housing crisis. Yes you will always have bad apples but I’m sure a lot of the people in similar situations are actually good people that are struggling to live and have got themselves into a bad situation. Not everyone has family to fall back on if they get evicted. I’m not saying that’s the case here either she could be a complete criminal taking advantage of the system but be easier to weed those people out if there wasn’t a housing crisis.

Why do people say when people are crossing either from Mexico or Canada into America, but in reality is both countries are both in America. America is a continent the United States is a country but America is actually a continent. America has a bunch of countries. It has Canada, United States, Mexico, Guatemala, Brazil, Chile, and a few other American countries so why do people in the United States and the rest of the world call the United States America, but reality is when you say America you could be talking about any other country. It’s like saying Europe is a country but in reality is it’s a continent.

In Quebec we are incapable of offering rent and services for everyone coming here, and there are too many people for proper francisation. French is in decline at a rate no one has seen and the only way for us out of this is to either leave Canada or have a federal government that actually cares.

Back in 1998 I was laid off and waiting for U.I/E.I to kick in and send a cheque and was 2 months behind on rent, they had me in L/T Tribunal Court at St Clair/Yonge before my 1st cheque was mailed, I wasn't kicked out but had to agree to pay my full rent on the 1st from that point and $200 each month on the 15th til I caught up on arrears (took 1 year) if I had been late once on either date they could have re opened the L/T Tribunal case and kicked me out. If I couldn't have paid I would have moved out, that's the difference between those born before 1990 and after, morals and having a conscience, lacking in most Millennials and Z's because X mothers didn't want to discipline their 90s babies or make them responsible adults.

Man I love reading the comments in this video! We also face a similar challenge in other countries that housing is a crisis and governments keep bringing in all sorts of immigrants, from refugees to highly skilled people (like myself). I have switched 5 cities and the story either gets more worse or less worse. Half a year searching for a decent apartment? Some search for years! It's a full time job. The government gets back to my request after many months! Foreigners offices are packed with applications and citizenship is taking years long now. Getting a doctor appointment (psychological issues) within a year is hard, unless you pay from pocket or are in grave danger. We are being squeezed in here and they started new loose immigration policies to be more attractive to foreigners. Address the quality of life at the same time!

Its value depends entirely upon the context in which it is taking place. Here are some reasons why Canada should reduce immigration to achieve eventual zero-net population growth.\n\n(1) The ecology: Canada is possibly the world's worst country per capita in producing waste – certainly among the worst. (a) As of now we have a population of 40 million. At its present rate of growth our population will reach 50 million in 2041. This will require a 20% reduction in waste production per capita simply to keep waste production at the present level. This reduction will not happen. (b) In addition, freshwater resources cannot be expanded at all, really (desalinization can only produce a drop in the bucket). Hence, look for shortfalls in water availability. (c) From a global perspective, it is the rich countries, such as Canada, that pollute the most, both absolutely and on a per capita basis. Therefore rich countries should not increase their populations. Immigrants do not come to rich countries to be better ecologists than the citizens of those countries. Immigrants to Canada want to live like Canadians, as Canadians. The problem here is not that they will not assimilate to Canadian ways, but that they will. \n\n(2) Housing: with 500,000 new immigrants a year, housing starts cannot keep pace. The result: ever-inflating housing costs. Rich immigrants compound the problem. \n\n(3) Suburbanization: most of the new housing in Canada is in highway suburbs (over 80%), with their car-driven way of life. Once again, this is bad for the country’s ecological health. In addition, the result will be ever-growing geographies of nowhere. We will not be creating more Victorias or Quebec Cities. We will be creating more Surreys. \n\n(4) Downward pressure on the incomes of most people: the law of supply and demand is very simple: when there is a surplus of any commodity, that commodity becomes cheaper. When a commodity is scarce, its value rises. Labor is a commodity. Workers rightly do not want there to be a surplus of labor. Their livelihoods are threatened. \n\n(5) Future care of the old: the more people we add now, the more people we will have to take care of later, when their working lives are done. Adding immigrants now to pay for the care of the old is therefore a pyramid scheme. Eventually, in a generation or two, the population of the world is set to decline, and the well of immigrants will run dry. Canada should aim for fewer, rather than more, retirees – as preparation for that coming moment.

As a child of minority immigrants, I do believe that the balance has been overstretched. Also, people coming to any country should want to fully integrate as much as possible. I don't see that going well presently either.

Properties owners stop working and start relying on the rental incomes and as we know the post covid19 economic situations of the whole world is so bad so with those rental incomes Canadians properties owners couldn't make their living anymore the way they where living comfortably before covid19 so they start blackmailing their government and blaming new immigrants. sometimes people rent out their properties and living in the shelters near to their properties. Only solution of their problems is either sale their expensive properties or start working hard not only rely on the rental incomes no matter what you are engineers lawyers doctors realtors etc. .....work work and work hard friends.

I'm Canadian. Canada isn't the same anymore. Everyone is basically broke right now, no onr can find work, and if you can, you still won't be making enough to keep up with inflation. Mortages and rent have doubled, food prices are robbing us, and we are taxed significantly only for our tax dollars to be wasted. \n\nAnother issue is Crime. \nCrime has gone up, Especially in the past few years. Not only car thefts and scams, but violent crime too. Every week, an international student, or immigrant is charged with the murder of someone in my city. \n\nMy biggest issue is that they can't find drive very well either.\n\nI'm not racist. Its important to have an open mind and be accepting towards other cultures. However, our country has fallen. I mostly blame Trudeau, his government is very incompetent. He has ruined our country

It's not just housing. People can't find jobs. The CNE job fair had tickets for crying out loud. People can't find doctors. Long lines in ERs. It's not just anti immigration either. When looking for jobs, sometimes, you find yourself in rooms where you're the only one speaking English or French.

Why let doctors and dentists come to Canada when they are not allowed to work in Canada unless they spend 5+ years studying and giving licensing exams? Most doctors end up doing other things. Either fix the licensing system or change the immigration criteria.

Apartments in my building have doubled in price in the last 5 years... DOUBLED. We were full with a waiting list last year, but this year the whole wing I live on is empty, except for a few suites. Pretty obvious that either people cannot afford to move in OR there isn't a housing crisis as bad as they want us to believe anymore... which one is it though?
