The US is much more economically stronger than Mexico so the US would prevail. Also, what case does Mexico have? They don’t want to stop drugs or illegal entry into US? Worth it to me to save lives and make Mexico step up to control drugs from entering from their side of the border. If Mexican leadership acts, the tariff increase goes away. It's that simple. Mexico is already responding.

As far as the drug problem... only drug addicts want them... freeze all internal accounts that can be traced to illegal drug activity acquisition these accounts and use the funds for rehabilitation housing and education of the victims of drug addiction

Trump is madly out of his mind, too theatrical and bluffing to be credible, the country shall be governed by intelligence rather than impulsive messages. On top of controlling the drug coming in across the borders, it is quite obvious that domestic drug addicts will need to be weaned off the drug and to be rehabilitated, nobody is talking about this aspect at all. Otherwise, it is simply the law of demand and supply, short supply will push up the price, therefore making it more profitable for smugglers to figure out creative ways to get it in, at this rate, it will be hopeless.
