In 2004 I wrote a somewhat famous article called 'Top 8 reasons not to immigrate to Canada'. In short, the Canadian authorities tried to destroy my life. They made it so that I could not be employable in Canada. So I moved to the U.S. in 2005 and then some years later I moved permanently to the Philippines. I am happy that so many years later videos like yours are saying essentially the same things that I did. I was ahead of my time. I will never go back to Canada. Not to live, not to visit, not even a connecting flight. Too cold, too expensive, taxes are astronomical, no freedom, no jobs, no opportunities, xenophobic people, too depressing. It has become the North Korea of the western world.\n\nTheir are many reasons why Canada has fallen apart. But the number one reason is ‘multiculturalism’. My friends, multiculturalism simply does not work. Different cultures do not come together and mix, different cultures come together and clash. The world is divided into different countries for a reason: because people hate each other and only want to be with their own kind. The number two reason for Canada’s demise is ‘socialism’. In this modern era of aging populations, it is mathematically impossible for socialism to continue. The government does not have the money to take care of old people and provide healthcare, pensions and the various other benefits, even with the astronomical taxation that burdens hard working Canucks. Well Canada, you had a good run. Time for Canucks to move to an emerging country. We welcome you here in Southeast Asia.

Canada- It's not highly educated immigrant... they are English speaking labourer who come without any technical expertise no good industry nor high paying jobs... Timmy's and warehouse labor.. just a English test?

Absolutely DUMB yo allow other countries qualifications to equal ours and just let them have a high standing professional job without verifying their skills. Yes I understand some countries are highly educated but not all immigrants are from those 1st world countries. By all means? Let them come over, but take a step to ensure integrity ffs.

Open opportunities for big companies to come to Canada and offer more jobs that are just slightly above minimum wage.

You need atleast a million dollars to buy a house...if you go with mortgage lets say you need 700k cash.... adding let say 50 k for emergencies that makes it 750k ...who the hell would come to canada with that money and start fresh? Housing, taxes, insurance, inflation, low paying jobs and freezing temperatures it all adds up.....

The only difference between Europe and Canada is the Language Barrier, 90% if not 95% of Africans in the Europe are the for the hustle , and they go for menial jobs, these guys have gone to Europe with business or tourists visas and they will not go back after the visa expires and they will try to blend-in in any form,thereby becoming illegal immigrants, what do you expect, you can’t compare that someone in Canada who spends a lot of money to go to school in Canada, Life in general is certainly easier for the rich simple, it doesn’t have to be Europe or Canada. If you spend close to 24000 euros in Germany for 2 years course, oga you will get a decent well paying job and your life will even be easier than those in Canada. All these guys that were telling us here that they have spent 10years or more here,how have you come to Europe, how many years have you studied , these guys came with 1 month visa from maybe Poland and moved to Germany the next day and began to do a whole lot of things, let’s forget it. To me it’s Europe. When the language is the problem, learn it. Traveling outside is not like moving from nsukka to nnewi. You have to be smart .

I live in a small rural Northern community, East Indian immigrants have bought out or taken over nearly every business in the community, our car wash, both grocery stores, both Hardware stores, subway, pizza place, two of the three restaurants, only motel, nearly all the rental properties, and they are shifting their investment now to homes, as we can still buy homes up here for reasonable prices, they are buying them, doing some cheap renovations, and trying to flip them for large amounts. All these local small businesses in the community used to employ young people from the community, they used to be places of employment for summer jobs for students and for the elderly people who retire here to have jobs to keep busy. Since the influx of people from India, all of the jobs in these stores that have been bought out by them are now done by Indian people, nearly everyone who used to work these jobs in my community has lost the opportunity to do so because since the businesses were bought out by Indians they only hire their own kind as employees. I know at least 10 people directly that have lost their jobs due to this, and there are certainly more. We allow foreign investment in our business and real estate market, and these people come in, completely take over and dominate these small communities, and fill them with their young people from India and take away all the jobs from the local people living here. Its horrible. My wife and I are planning on moving to Eastern Europe, Canada in another few decades will be nothing more than a province of India.

Gone are the days of Coming to Canada with 5 dollars in your pocket and working your way up to a middle class lifestyle with a house and kids ..Its gotten to the point where even people with full time jobs are homeless and having to use food banks . plus there is not enough infrastructure for all the immigrants in the last few years putting strain on public health , schools , ect...

Canada has betrayed in so many ways. The country is simply lie, deceit and treachery of immigrant money. No job, high inflation, high grocery, high rental property, immigration law falsified and what not. If you plan to come to Canada you life would be spoiled. I suggest never plan to visit, please for the GOD sake.

Good. Look as a product of an immigrant father myself, we simply can't afford to take care of the Canadians we have, never mind all these people who come to Canada with no jobs, no housing, no money, possibly no ability to speak English or French. Like it or not, our taxes are going up and our services are going down. The government is focused on GDP numbers as opposed to GDP per capita, which essentially means while our production numbers are artificially enhanced the quality of life per person is rapidly declining. We're talking about flooding Ontario with 500,000 new immigrants, God knows how many Indian paypigs... I mean students for colleges and universities, as our government is giving tax breaks to Atlantic Canadians and torturing everyone else for going greener with natural gas. We're living in a country where it is very possible to hold down multiple jobs and still be homeless in 2024 and we're talking about more immigrants? We can't afford the people we have now and we're talking about bringing in more? Who's building the homes for these people? The last couple million of immigrants who were supposed to build homes didn't build anything so now we're bring in more to build homes for the last couple million who were supposed to build homes plus Canadians who has been here for more than a July on a sidewalk.

People immigrate to have better lives. When they come to Canada and realize it will take years for them to find the same job they had back in their own countries (if they are lucky enough to find one), they decide to return. People immigrate to build lives that they would not have been able to build in their countries. They don't come here to start from scratch and live in conditions that are worse than what they have left behind. They don't want to have to wait months for a simple medical procedure. They don't want to pay such insane rents. People immigrate to live more comfortable lives. If they work and pay taxes, they want to see the effect of their tax money on improvements. If the medical system is free but people have to stay with illness for a long time because wait times are too high, then what is the benefit of it? We bring in doctors and don't let them work. We bring in nurses and don't let them work. The same goes for teachers and many other professionals. If a country needs immigrants, it also needs their expertise and knowledge. You either need people or you don't. Stop this double standard.

Canadian immigration system is no longer the same. It is a new slavery system. No matter what education or licences you have, they will never recognize it. I m a new proud Canadian, have master's degree in education from America, still unable to get a teaching license. My doctor friend who came here as a PR is doing Uber. Other mechanical engineer friend doing construction. Don't come to Canada hopping to have a decent job to have a nice life.

Housing costs,inflation are not just a Canadian issue. I am old enough to remember when interest rates went through the roof in the 80's and people lost their homes, and jobs were hard to come by including for my family. But things got better and they will again. For those who came here and were welcomed into the Country, and now want to leave, its probably for the best,for them and for the Country, They were not happy in their home Country, moved here,now are not happy here and want to move again. My parents were immigrants,they stuck it out through the good and the bad.

I know a lot from working all over canada and they come for the free money and health care and school, as soon at they are legal canadians every single one I know/knew left because they don't want to pay the high tax and cost of living, 1 guy I was friends with for a year showed me what he got to come here and it was = to 10 years pay for me at that time. Then he sold the house and cars and left after his temp visa expired, I know of people in AB and on the east coast working here and living 5 and 6 guys in a 3 bedroom and they send every cent back to their own country so they can buy land and housing, For them it's a great get rich quick plan, The one guy I knew for a year offered to pay to have my car fixed and I said no but he insisted it was free on his free tax payer supplied credit cards, If I was not from here and they offered me all this money and stuff Id be here doing the same thing, 5 years here makes you rich when you go home. 2 bedroom condo in Mexico is $85g so if I offered you a good job that will get you a house paid off and lifetime of saving in just 5 years but you have to live in another country would you do it. 100% I would Im looking at my adult kids who will never own a home if they stay here vs the people coming over for 5 years then their set, All my kids are planning to move to a new country for this very reason they are saving and then getting out when the depression hits.

It’s been 5 years for me here and I honestly can say I have achieved nothing in my life yet. It scares me when I think I can’t return whatever my parents had invested in me. The fact is you’ll never have a good paying job in Canada being an immigrant. When I say this trust me I mean it. Most you’ll get is a minimum wage job which can make you survive the life here. Taxes are high definitely and what I feel is you’re working to make someone else’s life easier. \n(P.S: people who’ve stayed in Canada will understand who I’m implying to)\nNo one wants to be your freind, scope of socializing is zero coz mostly it’s cold round the year so everyone hardly come out, especially in Northern provinces like Yukon, Saskatchewan, Manitoba.\nHealthcare is a joke. That’s how Canada’s job market is. Canadians’ first and if there’s something left they’ll look at you. By the amount of money people invest here they can establish a nice business back in their country itself and earn accordingly on own terms. \nMost importantly you’ll cut yourself from all emotional supports like family, freinds etc.\nI was social person back in India who liked making new freinds and memories but it’s nothing like that here. \nAnd it’s the same life, no different.\nYou wake up, dress, eat, go to work, come back, eat, sleep. Mostly Canadians are nice but again some will systematically judge you and say nothing but you’ll see in their actions, the way they’ll talk in a twisted way etc.\nYes I’m not saying that Canada’s bad or it’s no good but trust me it will take forever to build a life here especially with the number of people moving here from round the world. \nIf you’re well off financially from back home Canada’s a paradise for you. Indeed it’s a beautiful country with lots of beauty and lots to explore but remember everything comes with a cost here. Everything comes with a cost. People need to stop believing in this fake illusion and come only if they got a purpose here. Maybe if they built houses and made sure there were jobs for them BEFORE they got here, they'd stay.... they gotta quit letting people come here if they can't look after them.

If Canada continues mirroring destructive policies of the U.S. it’s not going to end well for Canada long term. \nCanada is in worst economic shape when it comes to jobs, housing and healthcare. \nThe life is just simply not affordable and the lack of healthcare professionals, hospitals and housing is unacceptable, so is public schools and childcare. \nI’m not surprised that reverse immigration will be happening for immigrants who has been here long enough see the dramatic change and unfair immigration policies.

They want more immigrants to come with their money, and then they deprive them of their money and their hopes, which they believed, and then they are fed up with lies, high prices, lack of jobs, job discrimination, and double standards. We as Canadians born and raised are not given anything .We work for what we get. If an immigrant expects to be provided a job upon arrival that is not realistic. Buying a house takes the average Canadian years of working and saving to afford it. What makes it any different for an immigrant to Canada?

Outsourcing impacted badly on Canadian citizens. Those people come on work permit, day one they've job and the one who is Canadian and the victim of outsourcing, they've to search for the job and the worst thing before leaving the job you have to trained those outsourced people, they are 90% from India who hardly speak proper English. Is it fair for Canadian? And the people on work permit they can apply for citizen after certain amount of time. I have a Ph.d in Chemical Enginerring from a middle ranking Canadian university. Never received a job offer. But , with the same credentials, my job searches in both USA and Middle East were very positive. All my life as a Canadian, I was FORCED to work in USA and elsewhere in the globe. Canada is a CLOSED SOCIETY. It welcomes immigrants but when it comes to abetting in putting the migrants into APOROPRIPRIATE WORK , it keeps QUIET.

The fact that Canada is horribly unaffordable and you can't just walk in and get a job as a doctor, is not exactly a secret. Did none of those immigrants bother to actually do a bit of reasearch before they came here? Or did they come based on the word on the streets that trudeau loves to hand out free money? When my parents came here they consulted friends that were already here and ensured jobs were secured before they stepped on that boat. I have family that simply moved from one province to another that did a deep dive on housing, labor market, cost of living and health care, and secured a job, before moving. The immigrants now just think they can step out of the airport and be handed keys to a new home and their preferred job. Their fault.

No wonder everything is getting so expensive and housing and rent is going through the roof. almost 1/2 million new residents a year? Where is all the infrastructure and housing for that coming from? The gov needs to put the brakes on immigration and lets things stabilize for a while jesus. Almost every Liberal policy is like a perfect storm for making this country unaffordable for the average Canadian. \nIf you're going to let people in let it be only in job markets we need like high skilled workers, and especially doctors and nurses. I see way to many people at my workplace trying to get jobs with fake diplomas or degrees. Those people need to be deported ASAP! They lied to get here and they are lying to employers. Sorry no sympathy there.

They came for citizenship thats it, when they get their citizenship then bye bye. Labourers shortage is just a scam, many companies use this loopholes to make tons of money. When the temporary workers come, most of them don’t even work at the company that sponsors them. Did any authority checking on this, I don’t think so. I met many that came and work for someone else for cash, the company sponsored them laid them off so they can get a job elsewhere. They have to pay those companies and the middleman lots of money for them to do the paperwork. Some say they paid from $30k up $70k USD, exchange students are just the same.

Is it hard to get LMIA Jobs when you come in with a visitor visa ?

The immigration system here is biased and messed up they pick choose and refuse who they want and discriminate alot and they say they have no one to do the jobs but yet when you apply they turn you down for everything I tried for mg kids to come here to visit their sick grandmother and they turned them down like who in the hell they have making these decisions in the immigration system, but yet they'll give countless Indian students visas and and work permits to come here and turn down a couple kids

I saw a TV commercial where a female immigrant was crying and complaining about her terrible life here in Canada. She stated that she can't find a job because she doesn't have the training to do the jobs. WELL, GET THE TRAINING BEFORE YOU COME OVER HERE TO TAKE AWAY THE CLASS SEAT FROM SOMEONE WHO HAS GONE THROUGH THE EDUCATIONAL PATHWAY IN THEIR LIFE AND DREAMED OF BECOMING A DOCTOR OR WHATEVER AND WANTING TO STUDY AND BE EDUCATED TO MAKE THAT LIFE DREAM COME THRUE. Why do these immigrants think that they are entitled to take what they have not worked their lives to accomplish in our country. Why should they get special privileges just because they voted in a bad government. WE DO IT ALL THE TIME. WE VOTE IN JERKS LIKE TRUDEAU AND THEN COMPLAIN ABOUT OUR GOVERNMENT. HOW CAN YOU COMPLAIN ABOUT SOMEONE YOU VOTED IN? IMMIGRANTS - - - GO BACK AND FIX YOUR OWN COUNTRY!

If they want to go,then go. If you don't want to be here then don't come here. It's that simple. Less immigrants means more jobs for Canadians. It's not complicated lol.

Canada doesn't need simplified bureaucracy or an international marketing manager to correct immigrants leaving. Canada's problem is that it's not a growing economy and skilled foreign labour coming over doesn't want to work menial jobs. Stimulate sectors, create growth, and that'll attract immigration.

The Canadian government has not updated it's Stats so what New Comers see when they look up housing prices and labour market. It still reflects 2016. They never let those coming here know how difficult it is to get their credentials recognized or the lack of housing. So a Dentist or a Director from a University end up working at Super Store. Also, as soon as they arrive they are told these short certificates that they take will get them an excellent job when in reality it's a cash grab and they don't end up getting hired anywhere as the course and school is not recognized. Totally ripping them off. Basically we have set up a system where a nurse from another Country can't even become a care aid. Ridiculous how many road blocks there are. And then of course there's the lack of housing not just the price. (I am from BC so this is coming from a BC perspective)

I had exactly the same experiences in 2002 when I went(and came back) on PR to Canada. Getting into a proper paying job in your own profession is the most herculean task in itself. The necessity of a car due to extreme harsh weather most of the months and then initially affording only a basement with mostly indoor activities during non-summer months takes a huge toll on one’s mental well being. Most of the jobs are regulated in Canada so getting an equivalent clearance and compatibility for a job is no easy task at all otherwise you’ll end up doing only sundry manual help jobs around which too aren’t available easily. I found a lot of positivities and possibilities too in Canadian life but then be prepared to sacrifice a lot for many years and then maybe you realise you have a lot more to loose than gain! So as this blogger said Go to Canada first on say a tourist visa to friends or family, stay and spend some time and money too and then make a long term decision to come and stay forever or not. But in the meantime don’t quit your job or business back in India till you come to a final outcome?

I don't understand how come they don't have jobs and everyone world wide is scrambling to go to Canada ??since the notion is that Canada has alot of opportunitys

I come from a very civilized country with a lot of education and history but awful economy. ?? I am myself educated but my country’s main salary is 700€/month and a descent one bedroom apt is the same price. There are no jobs no future if u don’t come from a rich fam. I am taking the brave decision to leave my country and loved ones and immigrate to Toronto. I Google ‘moving to Toronto’ and I only see videos that are pointing how awful is to leave in Toronto. What about third world countries?? \nHow can u speak down so much on a place just because u have to hustle to start? Nice information Chorkor. I live in the Netherlands ?? but I have not come across any racism. Language barrier is the major issue. \n\nI think Europe can work well for people who don’t want to strain too much heheh ?. You can still have something on the table with a lowest income. We have managed to pay a mortgage with our regular 8-5pm job. The immigration services in ?? are faster than Germany.\n\nThe social system is working for me.

Simply put, the people with money are coming into Toronto to live from all over the world, therefore, the drastic changes in pricing will happens! I lived here for 30+ years, and is still here, you need money to live here and the people with money are either retired, working with high pay jobs or from overseas, mostly oversea money! (rich visa students, ppl looking for PR, real estate investors that need to park their money without the control of their governments etc...)

Invest a bit more effort and consider going to the United States instead. You can establish yourself in the USA, and don't assume that it's necessarily expensive. While it might be costly in larger cities, Indian students often share apartments to split the rent. In smaller towns like Kalamazoo, MI, the cost of living can be very affordable. Additionally, you'll likely find Indian employers who can provide you with cash jobs.\nWho am I? The world has changed. It's wild what we are seeing right now. Like the affordability crisis is like something I've never seen. We moved to NYC two decades ago and the rent for our first apartment never went over $1k a month.
