Question: If the scores of immigrants coming in are working minimum wage jobs and cannot afford the rent. How can we claim the rent prices soaring is due to immigrants? I am not much familiar with the Canadian system so can someone help me understand this.

Is it a real honest questions or a dumb questions? There are so many Illegal people and International students are working here. They skip their school and go to work instead. Government should give International students allow to work up to 10 hours a week. NOT 40 hours a week. Time to change the Prime Minister.. Trudeau is a joker.

Seriously?! Why? That is like slamming a hammer on your foot and questioning why it hurts

The issue is corporate greed. Why is it too expensive to build houses? Because houses are a basic human need depending on the free market to determine when it is financially beneficial to build houses for a basic human need, the question is when did we ever think this would end well?

The shared bed on the market for $225 /week had me questioning my existence

To answer the question with another question, why do you think that adding 10 million immigrants to a country with a relatively small population in just 11 years was going to turn out well? \n\n10 million is roughly one-third of what Canada's population was 11 years ago. It is one-quarter of today's population. How was this not going to cause housing shortages and stress the social/health and education systems, overcrowd schools, and clog roads and public transport? How was it not going to grow homelessness and tent cities?\n\n10 million in 11 years were simply too many people in too short a time period. One has to ask whether this was deliberate or whether the federal government is lacking in powers of reasoning. I suspect both.

It's interesting that you lead with a question about immigration but show an image of an asian family which are the least likely demographic group to offend.

My question is, Why are they displaced and forced to be refugees in the first place? Which countries are involved in their home country's destruction? And those saying why GULF nations are not taking them in, well they are not engaged in any war and most of the Gulf nations have locals in the minority now if you check the statistics. These are the consequences of your own actions. Ask your GOVTs who are committing war crimes as we speak. SHAME on you hypocrites
2024-08-12 0
Better question, why is immigrant violence on the rise?
2024-08-12 0
Why even ask this rethorical question. Isn't it abvious.
2024-08-12 0
But the biggest question is how you guys going to stop illegal immigration?
2024-08-12 0
Incompetent journalist,the wrong question.
2024-08-12 0
Well he is shifting the blame but the fact remains no Muslim country wants Palestinians. That begs the question why? It should also act as a red flag to non Muslim countries that Palestinians bring problems to the host nation
2024-08-12 0
Geez....hmmm such a difficult question. Could it be the healthcare system being overwhelmed and increased completion for housing and jobs
2024-08-12 0
This is not a question it is a vast reality !
2024-08-12 0
I am really being enlightened. No questions yet . Thank you, Peter.
2024-08-12 0
Why? I DON’T understand why you’re asking the question. We have eyes! The question is why are governments across the world pushing immigration - and against the will of the people. That is the question ‘The Guardian’ should be asking as due diligence!!! Stop being a gov /WEF shill !!!
2024-08-11 0
The answer to your headline question is, because they're ungrateful.
2024-08-11 0
If you have to ask the question, you are deliberately avoiding the answer.
2024-08-11 0
HEY GUARDIAN, why aren't you asking the same question about the UK?
2024-08-11 0
Anti-immigration has not just risen, like the seasons it fluctuates up and down but the graph line has always been increases. Our questions have not been answered and indeed have been repressed under the guise of racism, that old label thrown at those who dare to talk out loud.
2024-08-11 0
Because we’re broke and there’s no money going to citizens to pay the taxes. Stupidest question ever.
2024-08-11 0
Uuuuuuh. Wow, such a difficult question too answer. Nope....it's a brain dead question.

Question, who did the responsibility fall on in Canada to create jobs and does the person applying for those jobs have an obligation to bring or have the skill set needed to do the job?
2024-08-11 0
Why? Cause there's a massive invasion. What a ridiculous question
2024-08-11 0
What is the immigration process and feeling at the moment in Somalia, Sudan, Syria, Nigeria and the other 30 countries that top tne global list of cou tries with the highest birthrates on the planet? \nHow welcoming are they? \nHow many Canadians emigrated to the Congo last year? \nWhy not ask those questions?
2024-08-11 0
Just do the talking and do nothing. On the day of judgement all arabs will be questioned for not doing any thing for Palestine.
2024-08-11 0
I'm not taking a side, but British Columbia needs 52,000 construction workers to meet the high demand for housing. The government plans to bring in 52% of these workers from outside Canada. For those questioning the need for more immigrants, look at the numbers: Canada would struggle without immigrants to support its economy. We just need better visa regulations to ensure only skilled workers are allowed in.
2024-08-11 0
The answer to the question is self-evident, and obviously so.
2024-08-11 0
The question sould be why now and not 5 years ago lol.
2024-08-11 0
Its not why we bringing so many immigrants.....Its why did we bring back Trudeau ????\nNo one is to be blamed except ourselves....we gave this blunder invitation and now we all complain.\n\nIt is said that when poverty strikes LOVE flies out of the window, so when hunger strikes loot, robbery, stealing, arson, fights etc happen. Question\nIs .... Where it will stop. Its all just started n will end in streets...things will get worse than this...Canada is a Titanic that has hit the iceberg..its all matter of time now when it will go down. \n\nAnd biggest suffererers wil be the next generation...?????
2024-08-11 0
WHY? What a silly question!
2024-08-11 0
Respect to the Saudi Foreign Minister ? his response put her to shame for asking that question immediately.
2024-08-11 0
Could this housing crisis be solved by Georgist policies ? Genuine questions, I mean, it's weird that immigration can solely cause so much damage into the host society. Maybe it's a more simple economic problem that immigration is only making more visible
2024-08-11 0
If you know your history you wouldn't ask that question. The Arab world tried to take in refugees before it ended up badly for them why? because the Palestinian refugees committed crimes on the countries that they were taken in. Including the if you cant remember Hijacking of flights :)
2024-08-11 0
A complex question was asked, very simple solution given. by a great Arab

India has 1.5 billion people and is heading for 1.7 billion they could emigrate 500 million and still be over crowded. USA has a cap for visas from India and people fight against it. Nothing against people from India but if you flood a country with one culture it has major impacts. How many people should Canada have 30 million , 50 million , 100 million , it is a question that needs an answer.
2024-08-11 0
If your questions don't start with your govt - current and previous - and what has been done for local infrastructure, then you need to read more
2024-08-11 0
The Guardian, which has perpetually incited people against any form of Western native identity and culture, is posing this question. Now that's peak irony.
2024-08-11 0
Biggest question is... Has the Canadian ever been the native, the same goes to the UK and US. So what as long as you're white you're not an immigrant.. Give me a break. If those people come legally and immensely help your economic to build the nation I don't see where's the wrong.
2024-08-11 0
such a pathetic question, they lucky they havent hit riot stage yet.
2024-08-10 0
Because immigration sucks? It's a rhetorical question.
2024-08-10 0
Is no one even questioning the fact the delivery driver showed up with no change amd still too all his money.
2024-08-10 0
The title? What a dumb question!
2024-08-10 4
Answer: Because it's destroying our living standard and way of life. Next question.
2024-08-10 0
If you still have to ask this question, you're part of the problem.
2024-08-10 0
He dodged the question
2024-08-10 0
Dumb question its on the rise everywhere.

Elected political leaders should be interviewed and asked questions that how did these diploma mill colleges operate under their noses. Impatiently waiting for the interview.
