Africa remain the best place to live in the world ?. Alot of people are running to Africa from America, Europe, Canada, Asia, Caribbean.

When I see foreigners talk about America, I always see them talk about LA and New York City for price comparisons like those aren't one of the most expensive places to live in the world. Even compared to major cities in the other 48 states aren't near as high as those places.

As someone from Belgium that now lives in Columbus OH because of marriage, you're spot on with everything. Safety? Limited. Sprawl? Terrible. Rent? Eh it's not that bad. I make a base salary of $82.5k and my wife makes $50k. Our 2br 1ba apartment's rent is about $1000. It's a nice place, but it has some flaws. Our next place will be around $1500. I've told my wife I don't like the sprawl and lack of public transport here and I want to move to a place where that is less of an issue: Chicago, NYC or Boston. However, the latter two have crazy high rent.\n\nI must add, the terribly unsupported public education system in Columbus is by far the worst reason. My wife is a teacher at a Columbus City School that's almost 100% black. White families put their kids through private schools. The rest of the kids have terrible home lives and are therefore incredibly ill-behaved and under-educated. So much so that the teachers just CANNOT keep up with Ohio's learning standards. By the time these kids graduate (and that's a big IF), they would have learned about 20% of what a regular 18-year old would have learned in most of the world. This is in part due to:\n1. Parents that do not involve themselves in what their children do, and therefore do not discipline appropriately.\n2. Terrible school admins that force teachers to lower their standards to have a high passing rate for the school (otherwise it gets shut down). Also, due to the No Child Left Behind Act, admins also force teachers to teach how to pass state tests (repetitive bullshit) instead of important learning materials and/or critical thinking skills.\n3. A lot of these students are pushed into the gang lifestyle and see no future in their education. They don't even try.\n4. Burned out teachers that grew tired of the negative ROI and start giving out poor and inadequate work packets. However, I don't like blaming teachers, especially because my wife is the hardest working person I know.\n\nIt's hard to see my wife come back every day, exhausted. It pains me both for her and her kids. America doesn't give a fuck about education. The big theory is that they're purposely not giving public schools attention so they can be phased out and private education becomes the norm. And if you can't afford it? That's great, we need factory workers.\n\n\nI might convince my wife to move to Europe eventually (luckily a European marriage visa isn't as stupidly hard to obtain as it was for me to get here). Having kids in America is not something I'd like to think about. For now, I'm taking advantage of this high salary to save as much as I can and focus on advancing in my career. Sadly, that's really the only thing America is good for...

From what I hear, America has some of the best Wheelchair access in the world. Handicap spots and ramps everywhere

Montreal, Vancouver, Toronto are all beautiful. i’m in Oromo (Ethiopia) and we don’t have too much diversity compared to our other residence in Dubai (UAE) America US is ok! I like Arizona, Texas parts of Washington DC but it’s not too friendly and even affluent people only speak one language, English and have primal diets! I was stunned by the poverty and homelessness in New York, DC, California, Florida, Georgia and other states….looks like 3rd world

America is still probably the best place in the world to make money even without an education n why so many people want to go - unfortunately due to woke culture even the nicest places in Europe (n Canada) are no longer safe which is why I'll never leave Texas n give up my guns - when I get old n retire I'll do so in a holy place in India however

I'm American. I'm from Louisiana. I'm a military brat and a veteran. So I check all of the necessary boxes to comment. ? Southern Hospitality is real. Louisiana is all about good food and good times. Come on down. Also, traveling around the world, I do love that we have a lot of diversity here -- cultures, nationalities, religions, scenery, food, and activities. THAT is what makes us great. However, our politics and religious madness make us look like idiots. I could go on, but I'll stop with the best and worst of America.\nI've visited Vancouver once. Beautiful city and has very good hospitality. My ex lives in Toronto. She didn't like it when she first moved there. Not sure how she feels about it now.

sAs someone who has experienced living in both America and Canada. One thing I think Aba and Preach forgot to mention is the cost of produce. In Canada and more specifically Montreal the cost of Produce is higher than anywhere else in north America (From my limited experience). A Block of cheese costs a tank of gas. I have lived in a few places around the world and I have to say the cost of food for whatever reason is so much higher in Quebec. Items can easily be twice the price here.

The best thing about America compared to the rest of the world is we have the chance to eventually dissolve our government. Jfc, the boot does feel like it's crushing us everyday.

The unfortunate thing is, a lot of people can't talk about simple truths. And if you try to, you will be called a racist, because facts and statistics are racist apparently. But if you look at the crime statistics database, something like 90% of violent crime is committed by black and Hispanic men between the age of 18 to 45. If you removed that demographic from America, America would be like some future Utopian world where all we knew was peace. So those demographics need to be allowed to be talked about if we want to be able to find solutions and solve those problems. And no, giving reparations would never solve stop those crimes. It's a cultural things that's kept around by bad parenting, poor education, and their surroundings. Sweden is a perfect example where they had nearly 0 crime until they started letting in black refugees from all over. Grape, robbery, and assaults all went up by not 20, 30, 40, 50%. Not even 100%. Those crimes went up by like 400% or more. Women who had lived there their whole lives now had to walk the streets in fear. White men had to now be worried about getting assaulted or stabbed by immigrants who were hitting on his girlfriend in clubs. Or watch what he said back to a refugee who mouthed off to him trying to start shit. They are completely disrespectful and unappreciative of being allowed to live there and be given government assistance. This is how people become prejudice. They SEE how other cultures act and treat them, and they don't want anything to do with them because they simply fear for our safety.

I say move to a rural or suburban part of America and you get the best of both worlds in regards to safety and guns. You can have all the guns you want- even more than in most major cities- and you don’t really have to worry about using them on humans.\n\nOh and obviously live in the south. ok I live in Canada in Quebec to be precise, I'm from Latin America originally but became a Canadian Citizen a few years ago. I'm not white, I can tell you that the examples that you chose to demonstrate silent or systemic racism are fallacies, that doesn't mean that there is no racism, there is racism in every country in the World. But to point out that because the leadership of mayor companies are mainly 'White', it's not prove of systemic racism, you didn't say anything for example of median age of the different populations, that is an important factor in economic advancement of a population and helps to explain why some groups may be more prevalent in higher paid jobs than others. For example, according to Statistics Canada and the latest census you can see that the black population is around 2% of the total population of the Country, but more over a huge chuck of that population is not only young, but recent immigrants from the last 30 years or so. Maybe you should read some Thomas Sowell to have a more broad perspective instead of 'denouncing' racism gratuitously

Everyones parents will tell you that theyve seen a clean and wholesome Canada back in the day. North America is declining. Its going to be third world just wait and see.

Isn't it so interesting how a lot of North Americans are exiting the North and moving over to third world countries because of the high cost of retirement, which they couldn't afford in their own country. Meanwhile, people from around the world are flocking to North America to live what they hope would be their dream life, only to get the biggest surprises of their lives with regards to actually living their dreams. However, North Americans live like ?s in third world countries because their retirement checks go a long way in allowing them to live their dream retirement life, which they couldn't afford if they had stayed back home

I lived in Canada, I found a different passion...so left. I own properties both places! Not everyone will be successful in business! Well I already left the Canada last year after having lived for 5 years. I am in my early 30s , south asian immigrant. I had a good paying job. I left because more so because of the social isolation and the pandemic measures. Plus I feel most Canadians may seem polite , but not friendly as in - extremely hard to make friends. Ethnic groups stick to themselves and don't mix. I found dating to be extremely hard and toxic. People have high individualistic mentality and don't open up.\n\nI am now in working in Mexico / Latin America and my mental health has greatly improved. I am able to socialize and women here aren't as stuck up as in Canada. Real world interactions are valued here unlike in Canada where it's all about the apps and social media. Also who doesn't like some good consistent sunshine. Overall , I am happy to have left Canada and am not coming back.

wow you 2 ungrateful are complaining about 30 to 40% taxes, well why do you think third world countries are at at point they are? people are poor because they lack economic opportunities, good schools, teachers, new way of teaching the kids that they haven't even heard in the countries you were born in, the overall lack of corruption, when anytime you have to deal with any kind of public official for any kind of permit that might need, well build infrastructures, good public Universities, and a decent healthcare system, an independent well functioning judiciary system that is far less corrupted than the countries you were born at............ You 2 are delusional, in the south of USA they don't tax that much, you should see how the Blacks are treated, 2 months that the city of Jackson in Mississippi has no running water, I recommend you 2 to move there, and enjoy the low taxes.... I don't know people just like traveling and living where they find a suitable lifestyle. Hello, I studied in Europe and grow up in Canada. Born abroad.\n\n1) First, Vancouver is not Canada. Life in Eastern Canada (Quebec and Ontario) is way better. \n\n2) Weather : rain during winter is really a BC thing, the rest of the country : is SNOW and cold for 4-5 months\n\n3) Again, the cost of living is super expensive in Vancouver and Toronto. Here, in Montréal, it’s affordable.\n\n4) The more taxes you pay means you are making good money. 50% of taxes is \n\n5) Canada is beautiful, but if you don’t like our country, why did you came here in the first place ? \n\n6) Covid : Mmm it was maybe extreme, but Canada is one of the country that manages the best the pandemic in the world \n\n7) Rules ? Try coming to South America where I was born. There’s a lot more rules there and good luck for your safety \n\n8) Politic ! We are actually one of the most democratic country in the world. People fighting about politics? Ahahah I grow up here and never saw this ever and I saw the 1995 referendum.\n\n9) Status chasing is a really Vancouver thing, probably Toronto too, but the country is huge.\n\n10) Isolated place, mmm again Vancouver is not Canada. Most of the Canadian population live in East Canada where the majors cities (Toronto, Montréal, Ottawa, Québec) are. It’s true a lot of places are isolated, but it’s a choice living in those areas.

Bottom line is, despite all the flack and criticism, no country in the world has a more consistently open visa, migration and immigration policy than the United States of America. Well over a million people immigrate to the US year in and year out, completely outdoing every other nation on the planet.

You should look at Canada from a 3rd world point of view .. especially Kenya...you would appreciate North America like heaven bro..\n\nBut all the best..same shoe different size

Alberta's plan B is to regain it's lost position of wheat exports now that the world has lost it's appetite for Russian toast. So true 100%!!! Your fellow international friend from Serbia here. I was forced to leave home in late 90s due to civil war there. I thought America was dream and paradise where all problems cease to exist. Little did I know America is living nightmare and hellhole where real problems actually just started. Even financially wise, half of the USA population is so poor working for pocket change. Nothing left in the end of month. Everything is dark, soulless and tasteless. This is damned land. There is no life. Just work sleep and paying bills. There is no outdoor life. Even people you know you get chance to see them every 3 weeks. Everybody lives spread out from each other and work different jobs, different days and shifts. It's impossible to make friends. It's impossible to get normal girlfriend or any girlfriend. No human connection. No passion, no enjoy. Neighbors don't even talk to neighbors. Just emotional pain, loneliness and depression that can lead to SERIOUS psychological issues and consequences. While experiencing all this I actually thought something was wrong with me, like feeling of being under black magic attack, that's how serious it feels. I always wanted to live here and to see people from all over the world and hang out with them. However people here share same mentality, they are very reserved and alienated from each other. Nobody cares about each other here. People are also very close minded and hang out in their own groups like in prison, whites with whites, blacks with blacks and so on... People here don't realize they became androids and modern slaves. They put money first and left behind family, friends and love. It's best never to come here, you have to be an idiot if you think happiness exist in America. Stay on your own land.

Boss, i stay in India and life here too is now as complicated as it is in the West, if not more! In today's urban India most of them don't know who their neighbours are/ don't interact with them for years together. Even amongst the neighbours, they keep in touch with each other via mobile phone (predominantly WhatsApp). Children avoid staying with parents and relatives at ALL costs to an extent where they even leave their natives/ immigrate abroad to achieve the objective. Work pressures at the Indian private sector is probably the highest in the world where most employees don't even have time to breathe let alone interact! Btw for those who argue that the Western society is highly depressed and immoral blah blah blah, lemme give you a reality check- India is almost about to become the dubious capital of depression of the world, divorces in Indian society is SO high that it's way too common now to see people who've been divorced/ married second or third time, people fighting marital disputes in courts for years and years and in most cases paying off the girls family hefty and mouth watering out of court settlements to achieve peace of mind......the list is endless......so where does an ordinary 21st century Indian achieve peace of mind and a peaceful life with a quality lifestyle to boot? It's obviously the Americas and Europe (mostly). It may seem ironic to some old timers, but it's the harsh realities of the world today.

This is America darlin. It's not Africa, it's not India, it's not Pakistan. We were a prosperous, bountiful generous educated people until the globalists stir up conflicts all over the world, making refugees and robbing our wealth.. They have decimated safety and we now stay inside more, often out of fear. It's no way to live. However I would never leave my country , enter another country through their generosity , then talk smack about them.

This video seems to really capture the reality of a typical America and the narration really crystalizes it. Even though it depicts a less urban setting, the same stillness can be found in cities and suburbs. It’s not what you see on Netflix or in Hollywood where there’s a story to be told and you do see a lot of human interaction from scene to scene. In real life America so many lead an isolated life indoors except for when one has to go to work or school. One explanation for this, however, is that community in America and many societies is not geographically determined. It’s structured around work, school, church, one’s immediate family if there is anyone and other kinds of civic associations. Loneliness really comes in when one does not belong to any of these “communities”. One’s geographical community (in a society like America’s) simply does not or cannot provide a sense of belonging. It provides physical and material comforts but not emotional or social sustenance, which has to come from those other types of associations. And I sense this is not just a Western world phenomenon. I think it’s happening everywhere and simply a fact of life wherever the vast majority of people living in any space have no family ties with one another. In a village or neighborhood setting in a place like India or Africa, you’ll have such liveliness on the streets and among neighbors because a lot of the people there are simply relatives of each other.

It is a very insightful video about what aspects of lifestyle can be very depressing for people. Also, habits define your life. People are not the most highly social in the USA. I moved to Mexico. I missed the tropics and I missed a less planned social life. At the same time, I think the economic pressures that people live in Africa and Latin America need to be addressed. Stay home and work on improving economics for your African or Latin American nations. Trading in extended family and the love of the community for money and loneliness is not worth it. What is worth it is an effort put in to improve the finances of nations with strong communities. The best of both worlds. Excellent video from EBS scholars.

When I was a little girl growing up in Belize I ONLY wanted to come to America to be with my mother.. she brought me to America when I was 11 years old by the time I was 14 years old I had so much anger I ask my self, why would she bring me to America? I wanted to know why didn't she just leave me in Belize and take care of me from there. I hate it here, who would do this to their children? why would you take me from Paradise and bring me to hell... I know my mother wanted a better life for me but all I saw was loneliness anger family separated the food is not healthy the air is not healthy the education I care nothing for Meaning what I was being taught in school would not prepare me for the real world... with that being said I truly truly appreciate all the sacrifice that my mother did I love and appreciate America but I can't wait to move back home. ? Living in America is not living ? you are only surviving ?

In America what’s considered weird is considered normal in the rest of the world like walking.
