It is heartening to hear Trudeau speak strongly with honesty, respect and dignity. How sad and unfortunate it is for the US an 18:04 d the world that the US has a lying narcisstic felon rapist in Trump, a man with no dignity or respect.

Trump is a disgrace to the AMERICANS and our allies. Putin is doing all the calls and Trump is just Putin’s errand boy. For the 1rs time in history US is kneeling to a foreign country, Russia.

Trump isn’t a “smart guy”. He’s president because the average US voter is very, very stupid.

So sorry Canada ?? , the best and only excuse we have here in the US is that the trump administration does not know what he or they of what they are doing. They are the worst administration in American history. And No, trump is not a smart guy at all. Sorry again, Canada.

In a sense I know why (optics), but in another sense, I don’t. Why do so many insist on retaliating against Trump’s tariffs with more or higher tariffs of their own? I think it’d be so much more effective if someone said, “You know, we’ve thought about this, and we have come to realize that tariffs are really bad. So starting tomorrow, we will respond by getting rid of all our tariffs. This will make everything we import more affordable. It will make us richer. We hope other countries will join us! If America insists on making everything they import more expensive, lowering their standard of living, that’s their prerogative and problem!”

In 4 short weeks, Trump has demonstrated to it's allies that their deals with the US are not worth the paper they are written on. This was never about fentanyl and it was never about border security. It was always about power, control, and money. About breaking Canada’s economy and independence, about forcing us into submission. Trump and his cult have clearly aligned themselves with Russia and are doing Putin's bidding. The democratic world must now regard and treat the US as it does any of the other non-democracies in the world, not as an ally to be consulted, but as an adversary to be contained.

As a millennial, a woman, a teacher and a US citizen, I have never seen the rise of stupidity and fundamentalism as I see with Trump and the Republican Party in general these days. It’s a cult manifesting in mass histeria and madness. The worst part is the world is watching and the stain and bitterness linger.

I’m Canadian and I’m terrified for us as well as all the innocent people that will be affected by this. I find it curious though that past presidents haven’t made any remarks, at least that I’ve seen, about all the things Trump has done in the last six weeks. Where are the condemnations about tariffs, the way Zelensky was treated and the fact that Trump is the one letting human traffickers (allegedly) across the border? As in Andrew Tate and his brother. Trump is the one allowing criminals in. Trump is the one about to sell gold cards to anyone for $5,000,000. That will include known terrorists.

Great, unambiguous words by the Canadian president! But one of his remarks stood out: he said that the tyrants want to divide us. He is correct, of course. But the implications are profound! This means that Trudeau himself is measuring his words and deliberately using diplomatic language. If Europe and Canada and Mexico ban Tesla imports and place 50% tariffs on tens of billions of dollars of American products, what would happen? Are these countries AFRAID of the United States?
