But because I take a prescribed medication to treat my ADHD I’m not allowed the privilege to serve my country ..but a man can medically transition to Be a woman with tax payer dollars..God bless America …????god bless Donald J Trump . This person has spent the large majority of their military career as a man. Both combat deployments were well before they transitioned. People who require inhalers cannot be deployed- meaning someone who is reliant on constant medication cannot be deployed. This person is no longer deployable, and by definition no longer fit to serve. That doesn’t erase what they’ve done- but allowing trans people in the military and to allow them to transition during their service severely blurs the lines.

Knee surgery comparison is a poor comparison. You chose self inflicted medical down time. The individual requiring knee surgery did not. You took down time because changing your gender identity was something you felt you needed, which isn't putting the service of your country first. I don't choose myself over my people - period. I don't believe that is the merit of a good leader. I don't believe the excellence in your skill set comes from an inability to establish personally what gender you want to be. Results in combat and protecting what's right in the air and on the battlefield have little to do with wanting to be a woman or a man. Get the job done, be a silent operator. There is no question anyone can be qualified to serve. My problem has to do with a society that feels entitled enough to fix nature’s alleged “mistakes”. There is no such thing as being born in the wrong body. That is a social invention. There always were effeminate men and masculine women. However, today we feel entitled to push the envelope because some plastic surgeons can make a decent looking pair of boobs but at the end of the day these gender transitions are social and medical experiments. A man who thinks he is a woman is like an anorexic woman who thinks she is fat. It is a mental disorder and should be treated as such. Offering gender affirming surgery to a person is like offering liposuction to someone suffering from anorexia. It is feeding a delusion. Our society is very sick and delusional.
