This is really tragic, but it doesn't seem like anyone is asking what can be done in Mexico, or Venezuela or Guatemala, or wherever, to help create an environment where people can be safe and have real economic opportunity there? This is not good. There is a reason these people are risking life and limb to flee their home countries trying to come to the US.

I wonder how much of this could be resolved if we decided to pull back senseless embargoes that aren’t achieving policy objectives. Let Venezuelans and Cubans, for example, rule their nations as they wish and stop punishing them for regimes not politically aligned with the USA. It’s this bs that people like Putin use to justify their injustices abroad given that the USA insistes on a global rules-based order in which she alone sets the rules. Many, not all of, these people wanting to cross the border are coming to people who can house them. Many have family already in the USA. Besides, we are seeing the chickens coming home to roost after years of failed US intervention in Central and South America. Smell the historical facts; wake up America.

It’s just heartbreaking no on wins. I by the grace of God or just the luck of the drawl am so blessed to be here. Everyone should be thankful for being her and show compassion God says these are your brothers and your sisters. I will always blame are government because they have all used for 20 years as fear. They should all of them be locked in a room until they come up with a common sense speedy way to process them legally. No break no one goes home or leaves the senate the get a bill and stop blaming every the other party. Once again you elected officials should be fired and replaced. Just like every American answers to a boss. We are your boss and citizens to make there vote count we elected you in and we have the power to vote you lazy ass attention seeking money grabbing crocks out. Please everyone make your heard. We must have term limits for all!

I've never wanted the wall more than now. I want massive increased border protection from people like these scum come here legally or don't. We can't afford to have you taking homes from citizens and not paying taxes. BULLLLLSHIT. If Trump runs I'll vote him in.

I’m 20 and I’ve basically given up on home ownership if the status quo stays the same. House prices are unaffordable. Hot shots from up in Toronto have bought up huge amounts of the available housing leaving supply low and there is low availability of rentals due to a high influx of new residents. The “starter house” market has been completely eroded; there is no $100k houses anymore or even $200k, new developments are like 5, 6 or 700k or more and the old houses that used to be cheap are now 3-500k. \n\nI don’t want to leave town for now because I help care for my elderly grandfather, but in a few years I’m going to jump ship and leave either the province or Canada. You have to go where you can afford to live.

There is a massive difference based on age. If you're under 30 like me you live in a country where owning a home is impossible, you're a minority as a white person, and you end up broke renting a one bedroom. It is a failed state set up to prop up boomer pensions. It will collapse in 20 years tops.

For all the talked about housing market problems in China we have our own distortions in our Canadian market that are dragging us down to. I sold my home 6 years ago (75% paid off) and left for an overseas work experience. When I came back ,my nest egg, even with a little stock market growth would never allow me to purchase the equivalent of what I had. While I was gone prices had gone up well over 50%. To acquire another home would be like starting all over from graduation. Homes should be for living in!

I live in rural Newfoundland. At 23 years old i was able to buy a house for 239k with a 12k down payment. I was only able to do this by saving my money since I started working at 17, although when i started working and saving i never thought that money would go to buying a house. Anyways my point is I was only able to afford this home because i lived with my parents until i bought a house and they were kind enough not to charge me rent, all i had to do was pay for groceries and help out around the house. However paying over 200k for a house in a small community that only has a hardware store grocery store and a gas station with the nearest town that has anything more than that being a 45 minute drive away via highway is insane. I am by far the exception in this generation rather than the rule, and I wish our housing market was better so that people could afford to buy homes without having to luck into such favorable conditions like I did

Canada still uses 70s and 80s mentality when operating the country.\nImmigration is important, but is managed extremely poorly. Many new migrants struggle to find a home and to get the proper documents to establish themselves, like the rest of us.\nCanada allowed foreign buyers to buy properties and lands, which have driven the housing market to an insane level we see today. Canadians have to go into debt just to have a roof.\nThe current government spend too much time/money trying to look morally correct than actually doing his freaking job to balance the economy. I don't understand why Toronto and Montreal still vote for that drama teacher who is as horrendous as his father was in the 1980s. Now all we have as an alternative is a neanderthal from the conservative party.

The golden age in Canada is gone. I graduated from a good university with a well paying profession and I’m jumping ship to move to China in September. It just doesnt make any sense to live in Canada anymore. I cant buy a home unless its in a province that is FREEZING. Thats not the life I want to live and there will be many more like me leaving Canada due to unaffordable housing. Canada has a very grim outlook and I wont be a part of it.
2023-04-28 0
The housing ponzi in China has moved to Canada. Soon homes will be 86 times income in Canada just like in China.

I can fully relate and agree with everything you said and more not said. I never thought I would hate being Canadian or my home country but Justin pushed me past the line. And I even premoted that elitest spolied ahole in the first elections. Now I want him well it starts with D. \n\nI live between Winnipeg my home town and Montreal over the last 20 years. And I like and hate both cities at times but realize neither are lovable. \n\nMontreal is grey 80% of the timeand the people are so rude and hurtful. I hate the french just absolutly hate them. Not becasue of the langauge, but how they are so gross in every standard of life. They speak a way that is offensive and rude. They hate all outsiders and want to live in a closed embreed society.\n\nI couldn't imagine how nice this city could be if they would drop the bs discrimination of the nonsense language laws. It is systimatic discrimination. \n\nWinnipeg is green and sunny in summer but winter is very very harsh as Canadian all know. Winnipeg has friendly people, but also some very violant people to the point I get into fights and or breakup fights and had to open carry a knife, and do wing chun. It is just harsh all around. \n\nThen I look into Toronto, and well that is even more expensive then anywhere else. \n\nAs I say I agree with all your points and maybe Portigal or Spain are intersting. Maybe after this was in Ukraine I will go there to make money, and move to a nice affordable place where I can keep working and enjoy the changes it offers me.

You raised some valid points. But Canada being your home country, I would like to remind you that you cannot influence the economic and political situation and help to improve it by turning your back on it and leaving the country. Perhaps you will change your mind and return to your roots once you have seen that you are just as much of a victim of those in power in whatever country you prefer to live right now. I wish you all the best and a lot of fun wherever you have chosen to live right now.

American companies also invest in wealth extraction from older Canadians with these horrid & putrid multi-story rental units in formerly single-family home neighborhoods. Each one of these 15 floor buildings stick out like a tumor among the houses and are just there to suck Canadian pensions into American pockets.

We should have a real border just like 99.9% of the rest of the world. It isn’t right to give up in your home land and think the US will wipe your tears and asses for you! Stand the F up and take your country back.

$57/h value per hour are mostly white Canadians not the immigrants and colored people. Immigrants are making huge mistakes by coming here in Canada and living their good jobs back home. If US today stop investing in Canadian market, the Canada would become like Eastern European countries or may be South American countries. In Canada same goes for jobs. If local government post a job for cleaner then they ask some post secondary education???. Not worth to live here very expensive country. Only people having a good time here are government employees and politicians.

This country seemed like a paradise when I was growing up, our family had a doctor, we could get healthcare access quickly, my parents bought a beautiful home for cheap, and my dad started a successful company, while my mom was able to stay home and raise us.\n\nThese days both partners need to relentlessly work to even afford a place where raising a family is extremely difficult, healthcare treatment takes hours of waiting, and costs of basic services are through the roof. In BC we have only 1 government-run car insurance corporation, and they charge me $500 a month for my work vehicle, despite me having a nearly clean record.

Oh mate, there is no place like home. Unfortunately, many of us just keep on searching. People are the problem. If you come across the wrong people you are unlikely to like the place. Unfortunately they are everywhere. You just have to put up with a shit situation.

Y’all already make more money then the people who were actually born in the US y’all get thousands and we only get hundreds of dollars y’all take our homes and jobs like bro stay in Mexico foh ?

Been living in Canada for 7 years, just doesn't feel like home...

Landlords gotta go they are the reason for the housing crisis not immigrants. Some landlords own over 50 properties while most Americans don't even own their own home. Landlords gotta go get a job like the rest of us
2023-04-13 6
Free homes free money jobs waiting for them. Why wouldn't they act like that.

Reality. Really. Maga right. Let's see unemployment numbers down nation wide since Trump took office. Foreclosures another all time low. Employment is up. Programs that Trump and his republican mates took away to help now not only back in firm place but helping Americans who weren't wealthy and paying for it are now successfully employed, own their homes and contribute fairly with appropriate taxes. People can't find housing??? Programs are out there for those who had foreclosure on them because of Trump's unyielding to constantly tax those not making six digits. Also our country lost over one million innocent men, women, children and infants because Trump REFUSED to acknowledge COVID. Care to speculate how many of them were republicans thinking how could I of believed him??? One father stated after burying his wife who died from it said this. We believed him then my wife of fifty years contracted it and died quickly and our kids who like us who believed him were told had this been taken seriously in the beginning it would of never become this severe. They became democrats.

Watch they don't like it where they're from but they're going to come over here and guaranteed start bitching about our rights and then not having enough rights when they have more rights over here than they did at home

The president might as well go home and sleep he runs our country like he’s dead.

As a Canadian I find this utterly terrible. These migrants will either add to the chaos of the mass housing crisis, crime and antisocial behaviour Stateside which will ultimately spill onto Canadian borders. We just shut down Roxham road a few weeks ago yet these ILLEGAL ALIANS KEEP CLIMBING ACROSS CANADA US BORDER. CANADIANS AND AMERICANS NEED TO UNITE TO KICK THESE MIGRANTS BACK TO WHERE THEY CAME FROM. WE DONT HAVE HOUSING OR THE SOCIAL ASSISTANCE THEY REQUIRE AND WE DO NOT WANT THEM AS ILLEGALS. IF THEY WANT ENTRY APPLY LIKE NORMAL HUMANS AND STOP ACTING LIKE RATS. IM TIRED OF THESE REFUGEES COMING INTO CANADA TAKING UP ALL MY TAX MONEY YET I, A CANADIAN BORN WHOS FAMILY IMMIGRATED PROPERLY INTO THIS COUNTRY IN THE 1940 HAS TO SUFFER AND TAKE HOME LESS THAN HALF OUR PAY CAUSE TAXES EAT THE REST THAT GO TO THESE IDIOTIC MIGRANTS. I HATE THEM.

If we can't take care of home ourselves, How the hell can we take care of everybody else? And if they're not going to take care of their own damn home, what makes you think they're going to take care of ours? They will milk the Hell outta our taxpayers system and then when the well runs dry, then they will tear ass back to their home country and live like fucking kings!! And the Demokrauts will do everything to let them stay, then place them in republican based territory's to overwhelm those votes at election time..

Y’all need better borders that’s messed up. The economy can’t take these freeloaders like go home and fight. We pay out the ass to live in a “free” country. Just come here with nothing and expect everything like it’s not the 1930s eat shit go home.

Maybe we should have taken out Maduro. He's evil, he's not a democrat, he's not even a socialist. A socialist would not be involved in robbery of the state oil company! He's a disgusting mafioso crook just like the villains in charge of Cuba. Did you know that Cuban officials run an expensive airline service to Nicaragua that is the only path out of the country on the highway to the US. The officials know that desperate Cubans will sell their only home which very likely was bought by relatives abroad scraping together money to send to their family. I am usually very much against war... but gosh darn if we could just take out true tyrants without invading the whole place, it might in some rare circumstances be a gift rather than a grift.

If they organized like this and fought this hard in their country, then maybe they’d have a better country. It’s sickening. These people are worse than roaches. They knowingly come here illegally while it continues to do harm.\n\nMake your own home better instead of leaching off the work of others.\nThey’re so miserable.
2023-04-06 0
Canada life is great, provided you work your *** off. \n\nDon’t come to Canada and do begging on the streets or get free money from government. \n\nWe as Canadians cannot be paying for this as these free money will raise taxes.\n\nCanada winters are harsh so if you are don’t like cold then just stay home.\n\nRents are high as well especially in cities so is your cost of living.

If we had an immigration program where after passing a background anyone can join a roving us work immigration camp where for 5 years they’ll work and get free education afterwards so they can save and pick up american work and life culture. \nFor 5 years every new migrant will be building roads, laying water and electric lines and building homes and neighborhoods. This will bring cost of living way down here in the USA while doing a faster better job of Americanizing our newcomers. We would be able to rise our population level really fast without harming the American white picket fence dream. \nLastly the program won’t be available for just migrants, our own people can get guaranteed work if they would like to join the program.

@Mac Ronan \nOh, there's _plenty_ of housing, however, unlike my parent's and grandparent's generations, the buying market is unfathomably skewed, to the detriment of single families. This is largely because of the bulk buy up of properties by hedge funds, which in turn rent these properties at exorbitant costs, and severely limiting the supply of homes available to buy by prospective homeowners. Another factor is the curtailing of multiple family housing (as in affordable apartment buildings and duplexes) due to unprecedented restrictions on development zoning permits for the average citizen,\ninstead favoring the whims of commercial and gated community developers, most of whom have contributed to the campaigns of the various city council members who enact these policies. Beginning with deregulation and less focus on community development under Reagan, the crowding out of potential new home buyers saw an upsurge after the '08 crash. With thousands of Americans facing homelessness with impending foreclosure, most were forced from their homes, and thus a huge upsurge in demand for lower cost rentals for tenants that now had terrible credit ratings.Their former homes (sometimes entire neighborhoods), however, were purchased dirt cheap by aforementioned hedge funds and large rental property realtors from banks desperate to recoup even a fraction of their losses due to the crash. This policy of 'pump and dump' mass property purchases continued, largely turning the once suburban neighborhoods of homeowners into strictly assets to be squeezed for every bit of profitability possible. Even as the economy stabilized, even after the big banks profited overall from these foreclosures, because there were no lasting effective measures taken to prevent this housing situation from reoccurring, nor was the issues surrounding the housing market for single family home ownership ever addressed, let alone properly rectified, the housing market steadily constricted. As the U.S. gasps a last breath in it's death nell through late stage capitalism, there is no future policies or government reforms championing loudly for affordable home ownership on the horizon, and this is not likely to change anytime soon, not as long as the megalomaniacal entities continue to usurp any chance for the American Dream to be realized for all future generations.

Enough is enough stol this invasion now the American people need to arm themselves and fight this disgusting invasion with extreme force I say treat them like their breaking into your home and use deadly force
2023-04-05 0
We dead ass got a ton of abandoned houses almost on every block of every neighborhood of every state in ameriKa and ameriKa can give away free money to Ukraine but we got the audacity to say that we’re overly populated or that we don’t have enough home. I would like to know how ya gonna explain that to God on Judgement Day

I love how everyone says they need to fix their own country like it's so easy & aren't trying already. Think they want to leave their home? Saying that while sitting on your couch in America, watching TV & stuffing your face
2023-04-04 0
Maybe if DC wouldn't bankrupt their home countries they wouldn't have to flee to survive. \n\nWe owe them at this point. Yes, we OWE them. Look at the last 50 years of economic treatment of MX and central America. It's caused mass poverty and lack. In order to survive, many had no choice but to leave. But where do they go? Some go to Mexico, but most want to come to US for work, and why shouldn't they????\n\nIf the feds didn't loot their home countries for the giant multinationals and keep overthrowing their domestic national govts thus causing mass destabilization, they wouldn't be here. \n\nOh yeah our govt OWES THESE PEOPLE BIG-TIME. Instead of treating them like animals they should be flinging open the gates and admitting them and granting them an accelerated path to citizenship.\n\nEdit: and besides these people are coming to work they're not asking for handouts. I'm all for providing some necessary basic assistance but trust me when I say, these people just want jobs they can support their families on.

Charity begins at home and ends abroad. Let them fix their own country and whatever's going on there 1st. We cannot take on any more people into this country. We have a crazy amount of homeless people, people that are veterans; that don't even get adequate housing or funding. Yet they think that they can come over here and just do whatever they want. Meanwhile the actual citizens of America are paying X amount of dollars in taxes which are steadily increasing year by year due to situations like this. We need to fix our own country first.
2023-04-03 0
Send them all back home..we don’t need anymore of them here damn..how would they like it if a bunch of Americans try to go over there to get handed everything..free housing, free medical, free food, free loans for school and business etc..they need to be focusing helping the American people first with housing, medical, food etc..inflation is hurting everyone right now and even before that the pandemic..
2023-04-03 0
They need to go home\n I have had to fight all my life to live here. I have worked hard, raised my kids with no help from the government.\nThey should never be allowed in here like this
2023-04-03 0
Go home I seriously don’t think you would like it much if 100 million of us USA citizens decided to mass immigrate and demand housing , food, money for free from you! What you don’t like in your country, fight to change it, obviously there are enough of you
2023-04-03 0
Understand their home guys.. they’re trapped and victims everywhere they go if they don’t have money and or a well known family. Look at their government, controlled by men with guns that they can really whenever they want wipe those guys out. If they’re homeless here they’ll learn a lesson, and they’ll die like the rest of the people on the streets.. I’m sorry it’s harsh but it’s the truth. we cant stop someone’s life? A person is put on earth by hot and god says ‘be free but love’ who tf is this bitch ass nigga in the blue suit telling me ‘yea you are part of the reason earth keeps spinning but like you can’t go here and you have to do this, and if you don’t you’ll die?’. Insanity, who we should be fucking attacking is our own government, look up the criminal record behind our people in office. But you’ll sit here in this video and watch these innocent kids cry and say they don’t deserve to come here because we got lazy fucks w no passion in this ‘great America’ headass country. Please. And im gon leave it at that, cause god gon do it best. ???‍?

You know what, I’m an immigrant too. I came to America in 1988 from a communist country to have a better life and have religious freedom. But it took us more than 5 years, if not more, to get approved and jump every hurdle, every flaming hoop, and else they asked us to do, BUT, WE DID IT! Why do people think it’s ok to be able to come here illegally when others have to Jump through hoops to get here? And the stupid fucks who think they should be allowed to do that shit, should be made to put em up in THEIR HOMES AND NOT ON THE TAXPAYERS DOLLAR! Period point blank!!!! A country without rules will fall into anarchy. So many people do shit the right way, why do others think it’s ok to say fuck it and became a burden on the economy? Everywhere around the world, there are borders in place, and they’re there for a reason, to keep order, and to prevent illegal entry. Nobody’s saying not to come here, or that you’re not welcome or wanted here. But you have to do it the right way. Millions of people had to do it like that, by the books, the right way, you don’t get a free pass to come here illegally cause it’s hard, or it takes a long time. You’re not the first person to go through this hardship.
2023-04-03 0
This isn’t your country! You don’t just break into someone else’s home cause you like it more than yours, and demand that it’s yours now. I hate seeing my home country being destroyed like this.
2023-04-03 0
It's almost like that in the UK now. All the little boats crossing the channel ILLEGALLY entering!! They are NOT refugees. Hosting the criminals in nice hotels whilst our elderly for want of a bit of help are being ILLEGALLY forced from their homes into RESIDENTIAL CARE and Fraudulently made to pay by Whatever Means, including the fabrication of their status and finances even ROBBING them of their PENSIONS in client Contributions!!! \nIt's disgusting, despicable and NEEDS to stop !!

Imagine these people's specialty women crying to enter this country an American Dream.no place like home.
2023-04-02 0
Funny how Texas is really Mexico but they stole it and now won’t allow the natives to go home. Weird. And please do not even comment to me if you’re a foreigner, and that goes for white people who pretend like they were Americans.! U forced ur way into our lands and now u don’t want any competitors huh
2023-04-02 0
This how you would enter someone else home? Like no other country would stand for that but here in America we let that shit roll
