As a result, housing market prices goes up in and around these land development projects that the local population are unable to keep up to afford. And it's the fault of both the federal and provincial governments in just letting these wealthy investors gain a monopoly on Canadian soil and artificially driving up housing market prices.\n\nThe influx of international student visas have only exacerbated this housing crisis because land development investors are now using their new establishments as international student housing for profit while pricing out or simply not catering to the need for housing for the local population.

I went to high school in Brampton Ontario, in the mid 80's and there were no Indian immigrants anywhere. After high school, I moved to Montreal to work as a fashion designer, (I have to mention the shock I experienced whenever I would fly into Toronto for business... when I went to get a taxi, there was always a massive line of Indian taxi drivers standing outside next to their taxis. I had the feeling that I was no longer in Canada, but somehow ended up in India?) Having lived in Montreal for 30 years, I recently moved to Guelph Ontario, to be closer to family and I was shocked to see how many Indians had moved there, (going to the dog park, I was informed by the people there, that Brampton was called Bramladesh and Guelph was turning into another Bramladesh.) There was a massive temple built in Guelph a few years ago and suddenly Guelph was invaded by Indian immigrants, with every house put up for sale bought by an Indian family, (the husband, his wife and their kids, the brother and his wife, their mother and father, all living in a 3 bedroom house with 3 cars in a 1 car driveway, (for some strange reason they all choose to dig up the black asphalt driveway and replace it with white concrete??) So yeah, the white people in Guelph are fleeing en mass, as it becomes impossible to sit in the back yard, or open a window, without choking on the powerful stench of spices coming from the Indians living next door... it's like being punched in the face from the horrific smell when you walk your dog and pass by one of their homes! That said, it feels like their goal is 'global domination' and with 2 billion people living in India today, it's just a matter of time before they all decide to leave the most over populated, the most polluted and the most corrupt country on the planet, and move to Canada!

I’ll tell you this right now we are not rich. Whoever thinks Canada is rich doesn’t know reality of it. Most of the people in the country are broke or going broke. The infrastructure of all kind is no longer able to keep up with the demand and population. We are also paying huge amount of taxes like we are taxed on everything. It ain’t sunshine and rainbows it seems like in India.

IMO international students have said to visa interviewing officers that they will return to their country after education is over. Permitted job hours was known before they paid their education fees. I am Indian living legally in US and I would not support illegal protests from anyone who are not permanent residents or Citizens of that country. Canadian citizens have every right to express their discomfort with the international students when they behave in unlawful ways. In 2023, nearly 319,000 Indian students moved to Canada - this is a big figure only for studies.

It's illogical to pin this whole mess onto just housing issue. The deeply rooted issue is there is no vetting process from the source where these folks are misguided from the beginning. Everyone is led to believe, spend your family's life savings and when you arrive here, there is a ready to settle down nirvana in Canada. This is a beautiful country which allows you to prosper but that takes a well disciplined and enforced immigration system here and the countries where these folks apply from, and decades of hard work once you arrive here. Politicians have made a giant mess, all the corrupt middlemen crooks in their home countries have robbed these people seeking better life for themselves of their livelihood on the back of feeding the falsehood. The reality is there are less jobs, no places to live, no support system. I don't see how anyone is being held accountable here. Let's not forget the kids of second gen immigrants are lost in this mess. Many parents have attested their kids did not find any work during this past summer vacation. O Canada, what have you become thanks to those that are trusted with power to run this country. Unbelievable!

It’s very easy to go to Canada and Australia as compared to other countries. I have personally seen a lot of people around me, who were the worst students, scored the lowest and wouldn’t have made a decent career in India, let alone get a decent job, go outside and do extremely well.

The caregiver program should go through reform. With the current immigration law with giving the caregivers Permanent Residency putting a lot of pressure on the employers who are working hard and paying taxes to bring the caregivers in Canada. The caregivers are taking advantages by exercising their rights as soon as they lands in Canada. Where is the protection for the employers who are working round the clock to bring the caregivers but the caregivers are abusing the systems and goodwills of the employers. The caregiver program should be like it was before when the caregivers needed to work here for 10 years to get the permanent residency. Otherwise it is becoming difficult for the employers to retain the newly hired caregivers under the new program as the caregivers are getting PR as soon as they lands. Employers need protection. Employers brings caregivers from foreign lands and as soon as they arrive the caregivers can quit and change employer and start exercising their rights as PR - it has to stop to protect the employer because of the employers hard earned money and goodwill they can land here, employers should not suffer for their goodwill and needs.\nWe Canadian employers need workers not the abusers.\nThe caregivers should be brought in temporary work permit and sent back or give PR after 10 years after they contribute to Canada but not award them with PR as soon as they land. Otherwise the lack of workers in this field will never be fulfilled. Many people from poor countries like Philippines are waiting eagerly to come even with low wages, because the money they get is huge compared to any third world countries.\nThis is not justice to indian students who came here to study are preparing to contribute are being sent back.

A huge issue with human trafficking in canada is that canada is the easiest point of entery into north america. Illegal entry is even easier. We have zero national security. And we don't care. International students and Temporary Foreign workers are NOT IMMIGRANTS. I am an Indian and I am disgusted to see what fellow Indians have done to Canada! They come here with their total lack of civic sense! I was born and raised in Calcutta as we navigated daily through filth and dirt on the streets - not only because of the poor on the street - but bec of everyone else who walks around and thinks nothing of throwing their garbage on the streets, spitting and blowing their noses on the streets and even in buildings - stairway landings, or peeing in the open - in public spaces or against building walls, etc.. Narcissistic, selfish drivers who cut people off, break the traffic rules, grab parking spots, etc.. They come here and make every effort to Indianize Canada - to make this into India instead of respecting this country that has generously and (ignorantly!!) allowed them in!! If they want to live their Indian culture in an 'Indian environment' - then for goodness sake - GO BACK TO INDIA and clean up that country your call your 'matri bhoomi' - your Mother!! The presenter is right - Indians (and Sri Lankans, Bangladeshis and Pakistanis too included here - all with the same mentality!) have dragged down the customer service experience in stores and restaurants. Indians are usually polite but they are not good at maintaining a high standard of customer service! Well there is no perfect country. One thing which Canada has and India do not is Respect for working people. People working as Labor, Carpentor, Cleaner or Guard has respect but in India even you work as a Professor in private college you will wait many places more than three months for your salary. Not sure why you're protesting Canada's a sovereign country and we can have to take care of our own people. Canada is in the middle of a housing crisis bringing foreign students. Where are you going to house them? What does this mean? Does this mean evict Canadian citizens for foreign students? I don't think so. Foreign students better think again about these protests because right now many Canadians don't want them here and that's not being mean. Moreover, the overwhelming majority of the people in Canada are not very conscious, well-read, or very educated, in fact, many of them are so incapable of seeing the realities right under their noses that they smoke marijuana, they are an uneducated, ignorant, apolitical and unresponsive mass. In Canada today, only 30 percent of the population is a university graduate and in Canada with a population of 40 million, only 2 million people are studying at universities today, and those who graduate do not stay in Canada anyway, those who receive their diplomas immediately go to America. In 2004 I wrote a somewhat famous article called 'Top 8 reasons not to immigrate to Canada'. In short, the Canadian authorities tried to destroy my life. They made it so that I could not be employable in Canada. So I moved to the U.S. in 2005 and then some years later I moved permanently to the Philippines. I am happy that so many years later videos like yours are saying essentially the same things that I did. I was ahead of my time. I will never go back to Canada. Not to live, not to visit, not even a connecting flight. The Permanent Residence Visa for skilled immigrants began as a paid residence to help Canada clear its huge debt burden at the time. It was an idea and some politicians said it worked. But taking in the refugees from failed States is another category altogether. Refugees from South American countries, Somalia, Congo, Rwanda, Eritrea, Ethiopia, Iraq, Syria, Afghanistan and recently Ukraine have put another class of social welfare recipients without adequate skills. Then the monthly child benefit encouraged some of these unskilled Immigrants to get more babies. BTW....I lived in Canada for 13 years but returned to Kenya 7 years ago. Also, as you rave and rant against immigrants, remember there are real White Canadians living everywhere in the world some entrepreneurs and some working for NGOs. International students are given student visas here in Canada on condition that they will leave Canada upon completion of their studies. They now have completed their studies. It's time to go back to their country as they agreed on when they applied for student visa.

Seriously Indians don't come to Canada or Australia (the situation is exactly the same). The economies are going backwards. Good luck finding a place to live. The cost of living is sky high. I must admit as a non-Canadian that I was ignorant about Canada’s economy before I saw this video. I thought Canadians were well off mainly due to its natural resources. They live in a large country so they’re not overcrowded. It’s safe, democratic country with low corruption & less inequality. The Canadians I’ve met are extremely talented & intelligent. How wrong I was about the economy. It has similar problems to other western countries but is cushioned by and reliant on its natural resources. As long as those resources stay owned by its own people.

As an-ex permanent resident who left Canada more than 10 years ago (before becoming a citizen), and always regretted it, seeing these type of videos (and comments) make me a little bit less remorseful. I went back a couple of times as a tourist for short period of times in Quebec and I did not notice a real degradation. Of course the covid period left some marks.\nBut the situation in my home country, France, to is going downhill much faster than Canada. But at least I know that re-emigrating to Canada might not be a good idea after all. Anyway it is becoming way too complicated due to my age.

My folks came to this country in 70s from Guyana he owned a trucking company, my siblings and I were born here and learned the history of Canada and learned french. Its important that new citizens know the history of this great country and if born here learn the English and french language.
