The homes are crazy expensive. Just start from million The healthcare is not good if something were to happen to you . Hav e to be waiting in the emergency over night I slips on ice went to the emergency went there at 6:00 for looked at 9:00 waited 4 hrs to get look d at. 3 generation Canadians have it good there parents came in the 90s houses weren’t so expensive then . Know it’s really hard with inflation so high if you don’t have a good job it will be a struggle. Indian students come to Canada thinking just working on cash will be enough ?it will not . Mass immigration is a problem to many people less houses . Canada likes to say they welcome immigrants but truthfully they dont. And high taxes, truth fully you work all your life just to sure and pay taxes …….

Many people tend to give a completely hopeless negative review of Canada. It was good to see someone making a balanced review based in reality and making both positive and negative assessment of life in Canada. Sadly you couldnt succeed in Canada. Hope you get to have a great life in India.

I've been here for 13 years and I'm planning on leaving as well. It was good at first but now things are getting far more expensive than the increase wages.

I have a theory; US lottery gave PR through a random selection, it allowed ourliers who otherwise will not qualify to get PR and move to america, these are the ones that start business and do random stuff that diversify and boost the economy. Canada PR system is based on point selection, points are earned from degree, work, language etc, this brings a specific type of people, people good in classroom, obedient people who look good on paper, these group are not risk takers, they will find a job, go back to school and struggle for the same type of opportunities. this places pressure on the system to cater to them. With child birth it's not just helthcare it's labour laws, maturity leave you get 80% of your income for a year as the minimum standards with good jobs giving more. It is also standard to call in sic if your child is sic many jobs give additional sic days for this.

After visiting india last december I'm seriously thinking of moving back. The differences that lured you to move to the west is getting slimmer and slimmer every day. You see India changing , roads infrastructure, internet . If you can get a good enough job back in India is it worth moving abroad? \nThe work life balance you gain by working in the west is actually a trap. You have to do a lot of chores by yourselves whereas in India you can hire someone easily to do it for you.

This is missing SOOOO much of the actual story of what is going on over here. There is a lot of corruption in our housing market fueled by faked incomes just for starters. That's not including the massive supply and demand crunch we are facing on multiple fronts from having too much people suddenly, to having not enough housing suddenly. The banks have been caught f'ing around as well, what with pushing through mortgage requests that should never have been allowed to occur; and that's just what we know about. \n\nNo offense to anyone in this video, or anyone else like them. We know that a good large chunk of most of you are not at fault here with what's going on. But there are some people from all sorts who are all doing their own dirty little deeds, and they are culminating into the gigantic pile of BS that the rest of us now get to deal with. \n\nAnd make no mistake, what I am saying is not even close to the full extent of the BS going on. This is just one facet of it. There still is the universities mentioned that we need to talk about, whom have been fleecing internationals for years now. Healthcare suddenly became a huge problem. Few young people can ever buy a house. even a garbage house can cost a million dollars in major cities. Pensioners cannot even just pay rent ($2,000 for a one bedroom) or their basic pension. Nobody has a good solution for the homeless. Billions of dollars are being sent to foreign countries for some reason. Many degrees outside of doctor or lawyer don't get people jobs.

The U.S. is the ultimate planned destination for the immigrants going to Canada these days and the Canadian citizens with good education and training. Canada is easy to get in because Canada needs the immigrants money but the U.S. is where the real money and opportunities are!

I hope they pass the word around so we get fewer illegals and economic migrants. Canada has to get its house in order for its own people not for all the people coming without being properly vetted according to our “not so good” immigration Law. Our country has many serious problems to address and fix i.e., health care, military funding, police funding, housing, affordable food. I have lived in UK, Australia, US and Canada. I spent 2 years in UK, 1 year in Australia then moved to US for my masters where I also worked for 6 years. So total of 8 years in US, I moved to India and had adjustment issues. Then 1.5 year later I moved to Canada as permanent resident. After 2 years, I ended up leaving Canada back to India. Some people suggested wait for another 13 months and return with Canadian citizenship but I had enough. What I have realized is, for tech/scientific roles, Canada or other countries are no match for the US. \nAlso, Americans are much kinder and open than people in Canada/UK/Australia. All these countries are expensive, quality of work and pay is not good. I was getting 150K CAD in Canada, where I pay 2100 CAD as 1 BHK rent. In India, I make 90K CAD and 2 BHK rent is 400 CAD. To me, America has no replacement, that's why people dont want to leave the US. I was not willing to spend whole life waiting for green card, and other countries are no match for US. That's why came back to India fro second time, despite the issues here.

There is no point of leaving India for Canada. I understand you need to be highly competitive in India to get a good paying private sector job.Indians with its highest growth rate can be entrepreneurs and have descent life than misery of Canada . India’s urban infrastructure is a cause of concern as it is governed by corrupt local bodies . If the Modi govt. take over them for atleast cities of over 1Million lots of people will completely avoid going out. India need to develop infrastructure of its 6 biggest cities on par with western nations.

I'm a Brit who has lived here 13 years and my advice to any Brit thinking of moving here is not to. If you can live in a nice county and you have a decent job you are better off in the UK. There is a lot of decline in urban areas here, tweaking drug addicts and tent encampments the likes the UK has NEVER seen. It's incredibly expensive to rent if you want to live anywhere remotely interesting. The infrastructure is so bad, unless you have a vehicle or lots of money to keep flying, you will feel incredibly isolated here. Brits are lucky to have such a great network of public transport and close proximity to Europe and all the cheap flights to get you around there. The work life balance is not as good as the UK. Most jobs here will start you on 2 weeks a year and only increase as your service grows. So after 5 years of service you will get 3 weeks and so on. Don't expect 5 weeks vacation until you have put 20 years in with most jobs. Canada is boring, it really is and so are most Canadians who also seem to have no idea what a sense of humour is. I have found new immigrants to be the friendliest, especially those from China, India, Vietnam and the Philippines. Now to the wokeness of the place, oh gosh, it's so bad. The Alberta premier has just announced very sensible and much needed gender reforms which 95% of Canadians agree with. These reforms will protect young gay kids mostly. The left have completely lost their mind over this. Women here are in genuine fear of speaking out regarding their privacy and rights to single sex spaces and sports. In the UK , this is slowly improving I believe. I'm putting things in place so I can leave. I hope things improve once the liberal government are gone but it will take many years to get this country back on track.

I worked in the mines of Northern Ontario have had two wives and six children payed high child support and spousal support. But just before I was ready to retire I had no more responsibilities and I got to keep my pension. I brought a house twenty years ago in Newfoundland where I am from and put it in my Mother's name. I am now retired with a payed for home which I heat with a wood cook stove, electric base boards but never need them and have solar panels and wind turbines but I am still hooked up to the grid but my bill is 40 dollars.I don't have internet or Netflix only a cell phone with a 100 gigabytes download.I run my tv off solar power that charges golf cart batteries also have a generator to charge the battery bank .I download off of YouTube and other places to a 1 terabyte hard drive that run thru my laptop and have that backuped . I have a ham radio. 250 gallon water tank just in case the village I live in the water goes out. I have a water flush toilet and a compost toilet. My property has apple trees and very productive raised beds to grow food, I also fish and hunt small game but I buy beef and pork that is free range and grass fed from a local butcher. There are many ATV trails around here, we have a gas station and small grocery store which I try to buy as much as possible from to support local employment. I have a side by side ATV with a nice back box , insurance and gas cost nothing. I used to have a truck but got rid of it because I didn't need it to get around plus I enjoy the ride in the side by side. The only draw back is to many people drink and drive around here and young people on drugs who steal.. I have pension and benefits and traveled for five years before I came back here. I get restless for excitement but remember it's a time to be quiet. Don't crave others company and I am pretty healthy, the only stress I have is to figure out what I am going to do that day. Yes I have to work to get wood and grow food but I could sit on my ass all day if I felt like it but you got to keep yourself in shape. I watch a lot documentaries and read e books but have my favorite books in paper. It does get boring but boring is good and you must be happy with what you got and no I don't need a partner remember I was married twice and everything was about what they wanted and not me.. I have gotten used to not answering to anyone or having to meet their needs and wants.. yes I am happy and don't have to struggle

Spend 25-30 lakhs, live 4-5 together in basements and do hard labor jobs (warehousing, retail cashier, security). Let me say it, u didn't do ur research before moving abroad, abroad life is not for lazy ppl who don't want to work on their own. Didn't u know how was the life abroad wen u have ur relatives there. And the positions u r saying are voluntary for parents, it's not a job,it's called lunch duty. You didn't try to find how life, society is there. Who asked u to hire a basement, looks like that u weren't financially ok therefore u had to hire a basement. Ppl have nice houses there. Madam, ur qualification was not suitable to get a job in canada if u r in teaching. Ur english has to be iltes level. I have relatives who are in IT and have very good salary, live in big houses. So it seems u didn't have proper skills and qualifications to get a decent job there. If u have experience u don't have to start from the scratch. U are not fit to live abroad u seem a lazy person. Ppl like u are only suitable for india. Food options are alot in canada for veggies. Healthcare is good there and free. They have a discipline there. Canada is expensive may be u couldn't cope there. It depends on ur priority . I truly feel from development perspective of a child it’s much holistic and less harsh. Depending on capability ppl admit in private schools for more rigorous and methodical education. Public schools vary based on ratings, hence ppl select house based on school district .\nSecondly I personally felt a lot of shift in my mental health. While u have to do everything by urself it gets integrated with ur lifestyle and u learn to function parallely or sequentially. A good part I feel rather than supervising maids and doing khich khich it’s way easier to do the job on ur own.\nHere the mental health is much better, ppl care about family life , ppl care about values and respect to each other. Bcz everyone is treated at same level be it a doctor or construction worker u learn not o take ppl for granted .\nIn terms of value system, wellness here it’s much much advanced and focused , so is for child care and development .\nBut yes in the scenario today’s global ?coming u can’t come here without proper job if u r not in ur early 20s to mid 20s when u r mostly experimenting with life .

The people that are complaining about Canada have some valid points , as do I . But in travelling to other countries you really see how the good extremely out weighs the bad . The main problem in my opinion is allowing massive Immigration without improvement of services across every aspect of living . This leads to the degradation of the quality of life . Government can't have it both ways , Get sufficient housing and services or slow immigration . It's that simple

Canada has always been expensive. I moved here from Texas for my wife. This isn't the same Canada I moved to though. It's far worse. The job market is crap. It's difficult to get a job in your field. It's easy to get useless jobs that have no long term career opportunities. Real estate is atrocious. Ninety year mortgages? That's just crazy. I don't foresee owning a home in Canada. Rent has gotten so high we refuse to move. We need a bigger place, but we can't afford it. The healthcare is not good, and the wait times are ridiculous. I got better healthcare when I paid out of pocket, but under provincial insurance it's pretty bad. It also doesn't have full healthcare like the UK. At least paying for insurance in the States, everything was covered. Wages suck, benefits are generally bad or nonexistent. My wife is finally about ready to get the hell out.

I am planning to move to Canada by myself as a permanent resident and I am a software developer, I was wondering if tech industry related jobs are in good situation there ? Could I afford to live there comfortably If I live alone ? My goal is to get a job in Toronto, save up for couple of years and then buy a home in Hamilton ON with the help of mortgage? is this possible with the current situation of Canada? I would be glad if you could answer my questions, because I need to hear the perspective of an immigrate who is currently living there.

Good for you. I think what you are talking about many muslims are feeling. So my advice is find out where you are going and make it an easy place for muslims to get into despite their finances, then help others to do hijrah. Like to be a support. I am up for it. What about Indonesian? Qatar? UAE is expensive otherwise that would be our choice. Not just the political but the banks, visa, capital one, taxes, and maybe even pensions have funds supporting there. Being brown didn't make me feel like an outsider but when I started to wear the hijab is when I felt I didn't belong. What a sad reality. Canada was so nice. I feel sad so so many going homeless and such. The poor pensioners having to not have enough for food because rent is so high. There is good people here.
