It is truly expensive to live here but it is doable as long as you are hardworking. For me, this is the most beautiful place to live in compared to other provinces. As a hindi speaking Indian I.T. professional, I don't understand why Punjabis, Gujaratis, and Tamil Indians are always dying to move to Canada? I lived in Canada and didn't find Canada all that great. I'd say America is a far better country than Canada. I guess it's mostly blue collar immigrants who are desperate to move to Canada, live with 6+ adults and don't mind dealing with racist disrespectful Canadians. You pass by my old apartment in this video. I literally had to leave Brampton because im disabled and worked in mississauga and could no longer take the bus anymore because of the influx of students. The buses would literally drive right by you if you had a stroller or mobility aid because there's no way for people to navigate on the bus. Theyre so overcrowded, i imagine theyre running at over max capacity. I would watch elderly people who were even more disabled than myself get on the bus and the international students who were sitting in the disabled seatinv would look up at them and then back down at their phones. I would be yelling at them to give up their seats for other people while i stood on the bus leaning on a cane. They litterally do not care about anyone but themselves. And no matter how many times i complained to Brampton transit about disabled people not being able to properly use their services anymore, nothing came of it

Him being deported or not doesn't matter, the rules and regulations that allow such inexperienced drivers drive these huge dangerous rigs is a huge problem. I get that the economy suffers from a job shortage in the truck driving sector, but this is NOT the way. It's sad to see so many people jump to race or immigration to try to explain their frustration with our current issues in Canada. We are doing this, Canada is importing immigrants for our economic benefit. We Canadians are all NIMBY and making it hard to build the housing we need, wanting our houses to increase in value indefinitively, not wanting the less comfortable jobs like truck driving, yet letting corporations profit by putting woefully inadequate truck drivers on the road. Immigrants CAN be problematic, but in Canada we are creating our own problem.

Growing up half of my relatives were Canadian, and we visited often. It always seemed that Canada was a cleaner, friendlier version of America. I still visit on occasion, but it's not the same country, either is the United States for that matter. There's no escape!

I’m a Canadian truck driver. It’s time to teach these drivers from any other country that we do have laws here. I get passed by trucks being operated by people from his country all the time in most unsafe manner. Often on hilly roads with curves and blind spots. They pull up beside you and then motion to you to slow down so they can complete the take over. How ever in the Humboldt accident I believe it was a matter of not paying attention. But blamed on sunlight blinding the driver. What ever the case was laws are laws. They are there for a reason.

Hi Peter. I recently applied for my student visa but owing to a family matter, I think I'll have to defer until September 2025 (my programme is only offered in September). My school has on their website that they dont do deferrals but I called them and they asked me to send an email; I awaitng their feeback. If my visa is approved but my school doesnt do deferral, do you think I can withdraw from my school and reapply for September 2025? Would my approved student visa still be applicable? What are my options?

It's a dirty game no matter from which angle you're looking at it, in my opinion. Colleges want to make money with them, they want to game the system, and corporations want cheap labor. And as far as I know, even back in their home country, some of their countrymen have made a business out of this type of migration. Best thing would have been if it had never happened. Canada does need lots off immigrants to stave off a demographic collapse. But immigrantion means housing issues. And it's not like the US or Europe where most of the immigrants will be on the lower-side of the skilled labor pool: the average immigrant to Canada will be better educated and have more earning potential than the average native.
