Our military today is a high-technology force with career professional officers and enlisted personnel. The U.S. military exists to defend the country in war or prepare for war against foreign threats. Trump could quickly hollow out the military as career experts leave. The military does not exist for civilian police functions. It is illegal and unconstitutional for the U.S. military to arrest civilians or enforce immigration laws. The American military is apolitical. No one swears an oath to any political leader but only to our Constitution. Mass deportations of undocumented people living in the United States won't be done with the help of the Army, National Guard, or other military services. The U.S. military does not have to follow illegal or unconstitutional orders. Military officers do not want to engage in civilian police functions or enforce immigration laws. Trump firing military officers would hollow out the military, likely destroying our readiness to fight future wars.

I don’t support trump at all but I think immigration is an issue here (obviously not with people eating cats literally fake) for American citizens and what our taxes go to. Even if illegal immigrants are removed, there needs to be better humane improvements for those who want to come in the right way.

I am definitely ok on cracking down illegal immigration and there should be criminal charges for employers that employ these migrant workers with slave wages. However with that being said to deport almost 20 million people that make up more than 50% agricultural workers in the country is a logistical nightmare. Once these migrants go these jobs will need to be filled presumably by Americans that command higher wages. I mean if Trump said he wanted to bring cost of groceries down this might not turn into a good plan.

I love Americans. Although that's a general statement and just like Canada, there are jerks there just like here, for the most part I get along great with them. There are pros and cons to living in Canada and the U.S., For the most part, I believe Canada is the superior country. We have a superior healthcare system, superior banking system, superior snacks, and superior safety. However, Trudeau is killing that. He's destroyed our country to the point that one more term, and it may well be expedient to move to the USA. He's destroying our economy, our values, our culture. We have the resources to top the USA in every way, but we've never had leadership to make that happen. The U.S. has a superior economy, retail, and military. Although some may argue that the USA has superior freedoms, I'm not sure I agree with that. I know I don't feel freer when I travel there. I will definitely travel to the U.S. again. I have lots of friends there who I love and would love to see. However, it will take more Trudeau for me to want to move there. Since it looks like he's on the way out, I better just stay put at least for now.

I am Cuban. I came to the US legally in 1967. My parents left their families and everything behind in order to give my sisters and me a better life in the freedom and democracy of the US. We flew out of Cuba the day after my 7th birthday. I was young but old enough to see the look on my mother’s face and my grandmother’s face to realize that they new they were never going to see each other again. We left a land ruled by an iron fisted dictator. It was the sacrifice of a lifetime for my parents to bring us kids here and now my sisters can’t understand why I don’t want to talk to them because they have voted for a man who wants to be a dictator, who disrespects women and took away their right to control their bodies(I have a college graduate daughter….what if someday she needs an abortion to save her life because the fetus did not develop right?), a man who is clearly a racist in every sense of the word, who only projects hate and division, but does everything he can for white billionaire men. I’m Native American and I say deport her. Yes, I’m entitled to my opinion. I’m a citizen and my people have been here for thousands of years. And, my people have been fighting for this nation even before we were considered citizens ourselves. We were employed by the U.S. Military to serve as Scouts (fighting against our own people to help the U.S. conquer-hint hint). Our languages were used to help win WWII and we have the highest enlistments by ethnic group. Most undocumented people I know are cool and they pay their dues and don’t want any problems. These ones that act high and mighty drain the life out of this country. I want to see this lady’s face when she finds out she is the wrong color according to some of her peers. Lol

How sad is this? The cruelty is beyond belief and she isn’t even ashamed of herself. And to pretend that these people could just apply legally is ludicrous. When this lady came immigrants were still being welcomed. All you had to do was apply and wait. It’s not so easy now. Trump has spread so many lies and so much hatred that immigrants are hated. Regulations are draconian and will just get worse. Trump has said he will split up families and jail or execute immigrants if they try to get back to their families. That Americans accept this cruelty, has completely destroyed my respect for them. I used to think Americans had some bad people but the majority were good.even with the evidence that they refuse healthcare for all and decent gun control to protect children. I thought they just hadn’t realized how effective these policies are. But now it’s blatantly obvious that they don’t care about poor people or disabled or sick people.
