I'm an immigrant myself but I don't have pleasant experience with people from India all my 10 years living in Canada. I rent a place where the house next door is owned by a middle-aged Indian woman. She rejected to split the cost when my landlord suggested building a fence between our place and hers, because one time her one tenant almost run over my landlord when backing up her car. Recently the Indian lady rent her house to 15 plus other Indian people who litter their garbage all around her house and honk their cars at night, literally making the atmosphere much alike those slum videos of India I've seen in the past on YouTube. \n​I've talked to a few of them about the noise, they promised me it wouldn't happen again but they never kept their promises. I have no clue how to communicate with these people anymore, I might as well look for a new place to live.

The Canadian government makes alot of money in immigration fees from immigrants but before they were bringing people from all over the world but for past decade it happens to be alot of east Indians, i lived in Brampton for 20 years but decided to move out in 2021 because it didn’t feel like i was living in Canada anymore thanks to Mr Trudeu who gave them ez pass , all the jobs were finished, employers only wanted to hire newcomers so they can exploit them n then you see them protesting on roads, residential areas for not getting paid by employers,failing in college, visa renewal issues, This was another reason why you see so many homeless people and higher rent rates! Indian here, completed a masters degree in Montreal and my work is taking me to Toronto, I work in AI research and can afford the ludicrously high rent even though it really does suck and seems very unfortunate for a lot of people, I found a place in Regent park but all this talk of crime has me worried. Some of the places for rent you showed in this video are in my neighbourhood. My neighbourhood has been predominantly Indian since I first moved here 20 years ago, the the demographic shift isn't as noticeable other than the fact that its gone from mostly Indian Canadian families who are mostly Canadian citizens to now a lot of young Indian students who just arrived in the past few years. But I can imagine how rapid the demographic transformation might seem to someone who lived in a predominantly non-Indian neighbourhood that's now being flooded with Indians. The thing that confuses me is why India specifically has such a huge increase in immigrants since 2020 while before China and the Philippines had just as many if not more immigrants, but China and the Philippines stagnated while India just continues to skyrocket. Funny enough the people I hear who are most against this mass migration are Indians themselves who were either born here or have been living here a lot longer.

Corporations have lobbied our government to import and exploit these people for wage suppression. Landlords take advantage of them too with their near-limitless demand and can charge outrageous rent. Many people and entities have taken full advantage of our openness to immigration and our attitudes are rapidly changing. the infrastructure of Canada cannot handle a million new people a year. the Liberal government has exploited international students and temporary workers too much and needs to be reigned in. these policies and practices do not benefit Canadians, only landlords and franchise owners and the tax collectors are getting the benefits. you and i get inflated demand on rent and food prices. overcrowded classrooms and hospitals. delivery drivers who can't understand english and drive like maniacs. this is exacerbating the housing crisis in such a way that a single person cannot compete for the cost of a one bedroom apartment when a group of indians will share the cost with as many as seven people in one unit. our infrastructure, housing and transit was never intended to have this many people. there isn't even any rapid transit outside a handful of cities. mass immigration is also leading to election interference and could be used to vote in WEF garbage that will ruin even more nice things we take for granted. our high trust society is gone. shameless life hacks and citizenship of convenience is all most migrants are coming for. mass immigration is bringing down the standard of living in Canada. poverty and homelessness are out of control. whether its the chaos of crime or the eyesore of encampments. whether its was just a package on your porch or your car stolen from your driveway, the government isn't handling the load that mass immigration is putting on society and Canada's legal system is a joke. its almost like the Liberals are actively recruiting an army of psychopaths just to vote for them. the drugs and the gangs and the organized crime isn't worth the hollow platitudes and desperate social programs.

I say this with a great deal of cynicism but I don’t think we will be able to halt mass immigration, and the reason is old people. Old people vote, and they have money. Politicians respond to the people with money. My parents are in their 80’s and they spend $7000 per month on their retirement home. I’m renting an apartment because I can’t afford a home in Victoria. The cheapest house here sells for $700,000. And so I’ve no intention of getting married or having kids. It’s clear to me that this is happening all over Canada. The death rate exceeds the birth rate. There is something odd about this state of affairs. Immigrants are pouring into the country and moving into multigenerational houses. They’re getting married and raising kids. Two or three generations live together under one roof. Meanwhile, the picture is different with white Canadians who have been here over a hundred years. Older, white Canadians are spending $7000 per month on assisted living retirement homes. Their children are single and renting apartments. We are living in clown world.

Making 3.4k after taxes per month(30 hourly). Rent is 2k including utilities hydro wifi. 1.4k remaining for grocery, car, other activities. You know how tight that is. Literally paycheck to paycheck

In ON we are paying 28% taxes on wage if you earn less than 100k, we pay another 13% while shopping that adds to 41% in taxes. now to add property taxes to that it comes to almost 50% now with rent prices & cost of living it does not take an economist to find out why some left and lots are thinking to leave Canada.

They love america.. they get good jobs easy over here.. most of them get better paying jobs than us citizens and they have no social security number.. They stick together over here, their people get them brand new cars, jobs and apartments.. When i lived in Charlotte many of the women from central america had an apartment, car and job within a week of being here.. Many of the women come here pregnant or immediately get pregnant. They can get free medical and food cards for their children when their born on us soil.. Construction companies, cleaning services, restaurants, salons and hotels will hire them before they hire people who already live here because of their good work ethic reputation.. High rent doesnt bother them because alot of migrant live in groups of 5 to 10 people.. That usually means at least 2 to 3 men working in the same home.. Thats 2 to 3 incomes so 1600 to 2500 rent is nothin to them..Not to mention their wives work half the time so thats another income..

All you need to do is ask regular people from Ottawa to Toronto and you'll find out that one city says another thing while another city says another. It's all centrist circlejerk politics. It's funny though, if you genuinely ask people, you'll find they don't like it. In Nova Scotia, there has been unthinkable amount of PRs given to students, who did not go to any of the Atlantic Canada Universities, came here for just gaining PR IN FOOD SERVICE SECTOR and then leave as soon as their cards were in the mailbox, While I spent 9 years here in Nova Scotia and still cannot apply due to such constraints caused by these people who keep moving here from Ontario just because their province would not approve their PR. Who will make the government accountable ?

The housing INVESTORS have also bought up a lot of housing for these International students to rent.... I wouldn't doubt that would free up literally 10,000 of homes in many cities. These two facts are strongly and directly connected.

Toronto relatives tell me rentals are rented by one person then illegally sublet by many more international students from India. Pack them in.

OK, there is NOTHING any politician can do about the real estate market. The people who can don't want to ... there is too much money being made. Billions and billions are pouring in from outside of Canada as the rich look for safe havens to squirrel their money away. Realtors make tons of money satisfying the highest bidder. Banks have an endless stream of mortgage revenue and investors earn returns on their money. Now, if you vote in communists, I say that without prejudice, they could freeze rents, build low-rent apartment buildings, freeze interest rates, limit gains on the resale of residential housing, block foreign ownership on and on. As a landlord the tenants do not pay their rent on the top of that they ruin the property before they live and this is a problem I prefer to keep my house is vacant and wait until the Canadian government regulate the law to punish bad tenants and curb their behaviour.

I got really lucky and my mom sighed us both up for public housing almost 26 years ago. So i live in a decent one bedroom apartment. It's not the best area downtown. But everywhere else around me is great and only walking distance from anything i coukd need.d?my work is also just two blocks away from my apartment. I work in harm reduction and its sometimes pretty depressing. And my apartment is an ok size. But i get freaking mice. I had to get a cat to catch them and it works. This has been going on for thousands of years of the colonizing of a country. Newcomers to Canada are colonizing Canada and local citizens are being asked to step aside for the newcomers need room to move in. The fact should be that only third generation citizens should be able to own property in the country. Newcomers to Canada should be renting and not owning property.

I lived in vegas for a very short time, it was planned to be living there but we went back to Canada. I am dual citizen either way. I will say that i like what that robert bigalow was doing with the budget suites. I stayed there temporarily. It would be so awesome for canada to do this for the housing crisis.
