Came to Canada due to a war in Ukraine, love the country and people but found it extremely challenging to settle in due to the prices. We are just trying to survive and pay the rent and food. Live and Work in Hamilton, Whitby or outside of Toronto, I've been to Canada. There is always a solution. House prices in Hamilton are mid $500K up. Doable even if you work in downtown Toronto 1 hour travel read a book or watch a movie on train or bus

Surgeries wait time is 1 to 2 yr. Everything has a waiting list. Inflation is present since the time I entered in Canada.\nGrocery prices are touching the sky. What we earn we spend. Its hand to mouth situation.\n90% products are from China. Its just grass is greener on the other side for the people who want to settle in Canada. There are absolutely no jobs. I live in a small city and see many indians kids doing Uber eats and Instacart deliveries for survival. The rent here is cad 2200$ 1bhk(approx.1.30lakh) for a small single share room its 70k. well perhaps Canada government need to create more government owned companies in critical sector such Food Plantation, Water, Electricity, telecommunication, House Construction, natural resources, Road construction, public transportation ect, which not only it bring more jobs and earning for the government but also make the market more competitive, its a long term project and had it challenge but i believe its doable for Canada, because Canada has a vast Land and lower population but the density population are concentrated at southern area, so develop your northern land and make it productive, connected, liveable and affordable :D

Everyone is saying it's not their jurisdiction to build houses, but we all know someone has to do it. Selling houses that look like birdhouses for a million dollars and renting them out for 90% of people's income is unsustainable. The Canada we knew is different now. Provincial conservative governments and city mayors are playing politics with people's lives. The federal government should take a more aggressive approach.\n\nAdditionally, houses are being treated like stock market assets, with bidding wars and corporations holding onto properties instead of people living in them. New apartment developments are sitting empty in cities across Canada, being used as assets to trade. Homes should be for living in, not trading. The government needs to look into this issue more closely.

I once came across colleague who arrived on study permit, went to construction jobs while on the permit, took advantage of favouring exchange rate in his home country, send all his savings there, bought a 4 acre land and gets healthy crops there enough for his family to live a lavish life making enough to retire at 30. When his study permit and associated work permit expired and he didn't qualify for PR in Canada as per point system, applied for asylum stating political unrest back home. His asylum was accepted. We who think they are poor are fools. He was only 27 and said he will retire at 30. But I doubt he will ever go back to his home country.? Canada is his gold mine. He was from Bangladesh. Trust me Indians dont go that far. There is no political instability in India and if to the contrary Indians are claiming asylum the system is truly broken.

Canada's passport as of now is respected world wide. As Canadians we dont need visa to enter the US or visiting Europe. Trudeau is destroying what every canadian has till now taken for granted. Because of his incompetence our allies will stop respecting us and treat us like third world. Its already the case with AUKUS. we should get rid of this liberal govt asap. I moved to the town of Brampton in 1968. It was a small village consisting of mainly canadian/British people. I have family that live in Brampton now that have been to college in the medical field. They cannot even get a job because they don't speak Hindi. That IS racism! I now live in a beach town in Ontario and I'm seeing the same thing happen. Indians are taking all the jobs, buying the businesses to cater to their own kind. When you go to the beach now, it is 85% Indians. Canada's government has failed, because our leader has sold the country to India.

I have an Indian friend who told me she got her PR with the help of their lawyer of their same background. She was also an international student. They will work cash jobs while their lawyer who knows someone who owns a business or agency to make up their job title and salary. Their lawyer sends to their chequing acct ,just like a real salary, to make it seem like they are employed in that particular position. But she said they return the money back to lawyer and thats what the lawyers use to put in her bank account every month. \nNow shes PR.. \nso regardless if the govt will change the policy regarding removing low wage temporary workforce or setting the scores high in the job criterion, they will always find a loophole, why because indians owns businesses and indian lawyers here in Canada also help them commit fraud..\nI don’t know if i should be happy for my friend who got her PR or get upset because they did it fraudulently

And here’s another thing: if you gotten approved for PERMANENT RESIDENCE, good for you. But with that status, YOU CANNOT VOTE IN CANADA!\n\nStop ruining it for others that are trying to permanently come here the RIGHT WAY. You’re NOT GOING TO GET AN EXTENSION ON EXPIRED FOOD GOING BAD.
