It’s time for Canada and Mexico and China trade with each other and exclude USA.

I’m a proud citizen of the USA and a Republican no less. To the people of Mexico and Canada, please kick us to the curb. Our leadership has lost its way and is in desperate need for realignment. For the sake of all in North America, take care of this now, because apparently my fellow citizens cannot.

No that isn't why Trump has moved on tariffs. He has imperialist ambitions. He wishes to use economic power to make Canada part of the USA.

Maybe Europe, Canada and Mexico should get closer with China, since USA is soo agresive with the allies…

As an American it feels a bit extreme, but all Canada has to do is attempt to fix their border, but your leaders would rather choose war. OK. 75% of Canadian exports go to the US while you only take 12% of ours exports. This will be a bloodbath. If Canada was a state in the USA, it would be the 4th largest economy. I have family that is from Canada, this makes me sad.

Canada you can sell your products to China or any other nations…don’t depend on USA!

Canada should implement a 10 to 15 percent export tariff on all of the goods going into the USA. Don’t put any tariffs coming into Canada , just let Canadians prosper

We’ll soon find out if convicted felon Trump and his supporters need Canada when that electricity gets turned off. If Trump can rip our mutually-negotiated agreements so can Canada. We did not ask for this economic war nor did we start it. Trump did. \n \nIt's also time to super-tax every pound of US coal being exported through Roberts Bank Super-port in Delta, British Columbia, Canada. The American coal exported through Roberts Bank does not even pay a provincial carbon tax like all BC residents pay. Canadians are about to show Trump what happens when you consistently lie and stab your best customer and neighbour in the back. We are not afraid of Trump. Canada is the second-largest country in the world by land area and we have the longest coastline in the world, with over 243,000 kilometers of shoreline. We will continue expanding our trade with Pacific Rim countries, Europe, Mexico and beyond. They all need and want our lumber, minerals, oil and gas, grass fed beef, and the dependable, respectful trading partner that we are.

yea I think the people of Mexico are going to hurt the most then Canada mexico has a 40% export GDP and Canada has a 30% export GDP USA not so much because the GDP of USA is only 10% USA wont really blink tbh going to be interesting what happens.

They are 20 billion dollars short on their military spending, are one of 8 NATO countries that have missed their required 2% GDP spending on defense, and have no plan to achieve their responsibilities to defend themselves and their alliance. Mexico and Canada need the USA more than the other way around.

Who knows what Mexico and Canada should do? If they are smart, they should let the Chinese and Russians set up military bases across their country. This will put the USA in check.

Trump should really look hard into the last time the US went to war with CANADA it really didn't end well for US. We are really only nice when treated with respect as we treat others. This does not mean we are a push over or that we can be bullied. My family has a lot of US friends and we are sure that don't want this either...but rest assured we will not back down....and we do not want to become part of your USA Trump by any means. Canadian here. It is time for Canada to reduce dependency on US, and increase trades with other countries and patterns. Do not be acting as an USA's puppet anymore. We are not inferior to Americans.

Trump's rationale of the border security issue to Canada is totally false as less than 1 percent of drugs and illegals come through Canada. Trump is just being a bully to try to get his way on tariffs for what he thinks is an economic decision to improve the USA. Unfortunately he is again wrong as Americans and Canadians will pay a lot more for goods and Trump will cause more inflation, ruin companies and many job losses across both nations.
