Where did you get your numbers of PR for 2022 from? Just went to the .gov stats and it's 280k in just the Q4 of 2022. For the whole 2022, it's 4 times more. This means that per capita the difference between Canada and the US is 2x-3x.\n\nAs for H1B, 80-90% are taken by Indians, and this year, 2023, an average number of petitions per each was 3.\nIt's a system being gamed by Indian companies who supply lower quality but cheaper workforce to SV.\n\nHow can you even make a video without doing basic fact checking?

A video by someone who isn't Canadian and it's extremely obvious. Were currently OVERWHELMED by immigrants from India cause there's no limit on how many people can apply from that country. So now we have a glut of Indians who create their own semi-enclaves and do not integrate with the community. \n\nAs well, the U.S. pays better, has more opportunity, the mixture of immigrants is better (less concentrated to one country) and lets not even begin with Canada's completely screwed housing market.

Bringing all these different cultures together… but if too many from one country show up, they’ll make a community too large that they don’t need to melt with the population. There are Chinatowns and Little Italys and whole Mexican communities, but ultimately everyone has to interact with everyone else. Allowing 300,000 Indians to get green cards every year and only 1,000 Norwegians would lead to the Norwegians merging well with the country, while the Indians would all move to one or two cities and make entire sections of the cities like small versions of their own country. Which is the last thing we want. Once an immigrant community gets enough power to be a voting block, things are scary, but once it has enough power that they start getting their own representatives and passing laws for the rest of us? Laws the look like laws they had back in their own countries… that led them to run from their countries in the first place? It’s a concern. We want people to adapt to the USA and not try to adapt the USA to them. Over time, the US does change due to the growing voting blocs. But that’s after generations of those immigrant populations getting larger, and their children being born and raised in the country they’ve adapted to. When I see a protest of Muslim immigrants burning pride flags, or Chinese and Spanish-speaking Hispanic immigrants who never bothered to learn English, I see problems with our immigration system. But the kids of the Arab immigrants will be more tolerant, and the Hispanic kids will have grown up in American schools. Most Chinese-American kids might speak some Chinese at home with their parents, but they’re worse at it, and their first language is English. It takes second Generation immigrants to really start meshing with America. But if entire school districts are all Indian, and every store, restaurant, and business in a whole town is Indian, then those kids won’t adapt to America. They won’t get bits of their home culture from their time at home and with their neighbors, while also getting bits of American culture from their classmates and other people around them. Nope. They’ll only be exposed to the first Generation who completely took over the area- IF, we allowed for unfettered immigration from the largest countries. It’s a fact that immigrant communities like to stick together. But if not enough people are in that community that you need to reach out to others around you, it helps expose you to the rest of America… Anyway! There are a ton of shows that indirectly show this phenomena. Fresh Off the Boat. The Sopranos. Even Brooklyn 99. We see as traditional and hard-to-adapt parents have to deal with kids in the next generation who are more American, don’t follow the same customs and traditions as their parents, and overall just left more of their old culture behind. No one is asking that immigrants abandon their cultural ties, but if you come to America, there are things that people need to change and accept if they’re going to live here.

Would I even be born in this country under the current anti-per capita and anti-Indian system??

As an Indian national just starting the employment stage in America after my Master's degree here, this hits hard. There are also other drawbacks I'm experiencing, like employers prefering Citizens/PR over us for entry/mid level jobs. So here I am, wasting my limited 3 years, paying a fortune in rent just to get employed and begin an even greater struggle.

I work in tech and need to mention the negatives of H1B even though having tons of highly skilled workers would be nice for country.\n\nThe first issue is that H1B workers are happy with accepting lower pay for relevant position so long as they get opportunity to get a company sponsor. This causes a downward pressure on wages obviously.\n\nSecond is they are also VERY obedient Caste like stuff going on between Indians or absolute silence from East Asians on anything that needs to change. This causes management expectations from workers to be skewed against citizen workers.\n\nThird, they are only here short time to earn as much as possible, even some I know shared a 1 bedroom between 2 people just to hoard as much as they make cause when they go back to their country it means they are rich. So they work 24/7 and causing company expectations to be unrealistic for citizen workers.

Forget parents, even many immigrants are unhappy in Canada. Every time I run into an Indian who has studied or lived in US he is frustrated. 2 people in my team received their Canadian citizenship and have started trying for positions in US. 3 white Canadians in our company moved to US in last 2 year itself.\nCanada is not a great country from parents. It's cold, white and depressing throughout. Many parents can stay for relatively longer in California or Texas where there is vibrant community and weather is very much like India. big problem with the housing is also trudeau taking in so many immigrants and refugees before having enough available housing for everybody. I think they were taking in 200k people a year. while we need atleast 1million new houses within the next 10 years in order to supply enough to the population. There was also an issue with forieign purchases where people from other countries were buying houses in canada and nobody living in them. Canada is definitely less segregated as a whole, especially Quebec. Parts of Toronto are starting to head towards US levels segregation though, mainly East Brampton (Indian) and Milliken (Chinese). But for every place like that, the Toronto area has dozens of neighbourhoods that are more diverse. Mississauga and North York are diverse throughout, as well as most of Scarborough, Ajax, Pickering, Milton, Downtown, even Richmond Hill and older parts of Brampton are pretty mixed.

Here is something - the south actually does integration better than the north in the U.S. Blacks are more likely to live in white neighborhoods in the south than they do in the north. This is how our Embassy helps us in foreign countries. This was not the only instance. The Indian Embassy always avoids us at first whenever we approach them for any help be it Ukraine or Afghanistan. These piece of sh!ts behave like The US Embassy but don't even know how US Embassy helps Americans in foreign countries. Work 74 years to pay 1 year’s tuition? Really??\n\nI know that 1 CAD will get you approx. 60 INR, but wages have increased dramatically in India, so I don’t know how the math was done to assert that it would take 74 years to pay 1 year’s tuition.\n\nI checked Alpha college’s tuition fee for 4 semesters or two years, and it’s $31,130 or $15,565 for 1 year, which, in today’s market exchange rate is, less than INR 940,000. \n\nI know and have several relatives in India who makes anywhere between CAD equivalent of $8000 and $20000 per year. Not sure what the wages are in Punjab, but can’t imagine that assertion is correct. Irrespective, I know that even CAD $15,565 is very high for most Indian families.

Oh god this is sooo sad to see and very misleading,Indian universities are as good or even better than some Canadian and US unis, also dont forget countries like Russia, Poland, Czech trust me guys, universities there are much much harder and better knowledge is provided. An American and Canadian students will find it very difficult to pass the exams in those countries compared to their own. \nSo I dont understand why Indians dont go to those EAST EU countries or stay in India, the best Medical unis,IT,engineering, Architecture, bio chemistry and many more are actually in India and east European countries including Russia.

I do not understand only one thing and thats the Indian people obsession with Canada and USA, I mean going there and letting your parents pay huge amounts of money and selling their lands and breaking their back for your school fees to enter some low level college or university and in the end not even sure if you will succeed. Instead you can go to Europe ( a lot of countries to choose from ) much cheaper or even free in some countries, all you have to do is learn the language (for it to be free) you can have a good life, cheaper and safer than US or Canada and after you graduate you can get a good job with good pay, even get permanent residence or citizenship.But still 99 percent of Indians wanna move to US OR Canada,UK aswell and in some cases Australia.
