There not coming here for education, its a joke , reality check....800 million Indians only make $2 a day in India, there here to stay and then they bring there wife's, parents ,children, etc under compassionate grounds. They dont contribute anything to Canadian society or culture, its the number one issue that is fucking our economy. We dont need another million uber drivers and Tim Horton employees.

Why can't India improve its Quality of Education? Indian society has billions to spend in movie industry, cricket etc, but NOT on quality higher education institutions? PATHETIC for a civilization that gave Knowledge to Humanity.

Thanks Mr. Trudeau; I live in a small NS community that's in truth overrun with East Indian students within the past five years. Our own young people couldn't buy a job here if they wanted one, the East Indians scooped up everything. If you go to any store here it's like we're in India; almost all the employees and shoppers are East Indian, none speaking English which is our language here. Most people here are not comfortable going into our own stores, in our own community anymore. This is not racisim, it's common sense; it's just not a reasonable situation that's been put upon the people here.

The real reason behind this surge is that india's growing middle class is running away from a dirty, filthy, corrupted, jobless violent and overpopulated india.

Many things to unpack. Australia, which is similar to Canada, is having similar issues. The gov does not monitor at all and only actioned when the UN reported a new slave class was being created. Many students from India don’t have funds to study abroad. Universities got hooked on international students and Tim Hortons got hooked on cheap labour. The entire Canadian system is f’d up. In Surrey BC there is a shooting carried out by Indian gangs almost everyday. There is also a massive influx of Indians who simply make zero effort to learn the common language of this country: English. I am a 2nd generation Indian-Canadian, and even I struggle to communicate with these new migrants from India. If you want to come to this country that embraced me and my family as one of their own, you need to accept and embrace their culture and not try to replace it. \n\nAs an Indian Canadian citizen, I fully support deporting any Indian students who have overstayed their student/work visa. They need to go back because they do not love this country.

Before 2019 it was hard to find a job and now after this massive number of students bringing from India . Something I don't understand about Indian TFWs, so enlighten me here - The top 3 countries sending TFWs to Canada are Mexico, Guatemala and Jamaica (58K workers in 2023 vs 2.8K Indians). This is out of ~70K total workers. All this data is from stat can (TFW citizenship by country). Why isn't anyone talking about them? Also Thailand and Philippines are neck to neck with India in TFW numbers. Did they just throw an insignificant bone to distract the angry public so they can continue their shenanigans?

The recent wave of Indians coming to Canada are NOTHING like the previous ones. They have caused this themselves. I always wanted to visit India but based on the behaviour I have seen by indian newcomers has made me change my mind. Even driving is worse here with all of the aggressive drivers bringing up insurance rates.

In my understanding no country mentioned foreseen the economy development of India and its students immigration capabilities . That is the root cause of this sudden developments .

This is very sad. Perhaps the citizens of India should protest against their governments lack of sufficient support for higher education in their country. Perhaps the citizens of India should start local schools instead of spending their money to send their children thousands of miles away, spending their money to house their children in very expensive countries. Certainly there must be an Indian citizen who is educated and is willing to teach what he/she has learned to other Indians!

Didn't assimilate and brought terrorism to Canada with the kalastanis.. I have also experienced medical fraud with radiologists from India and an Indian gp... good people in every race.. but the bad ones have now spoiled it for everyone.
