Yes we are excepting to many international students. When the Canadian citizen cant even find a job in their home town, then thats a problem, and thats exactly whats happening. Companies see it as saving money when they hire these students, seeing the government pays half-wage subsidy for foreigners.

I moved over there in 2014 with full rights as a citizen. My trade wasn't recognised. Canada has its own rules about everything. You need to have training to pour drinks in a bar wtf.! But yea I came wanting a better life and well thankfully I wound up in Calgary so eventually I had the money to leave. And come home where know having seen the Canadian shit show I'm killing it here. It saddens me and yes I was that asshole that got trudeau on there cos I seen one rousing speech where he invoked his dad Pierre. And I fell for it. And not to lie I look old Canadian so I fit right in English is my first language and all that. And funnily enough it was the first time in my life where I could say fucking immigrants. It's a brutal place a brutal work climate and well there's a lot that's nice but when it's bad it's dog ear dog. I feel really sad about what's happening, all the mass illegal immigration and yet your a criminal for noticing it. A lot is very wrong, don't get me wrong nz is doing all the same shit too. I went to Canada for prosperity and to change my life lesson I learnt was go home ans do better and that's fucked.

Real estate in Australia is expensive because the nation is highly successful and ordinary citizens are wealthy, and this includes real estate, plus with 3 billion middle class Asian's right above Australia the Asian economy dwarfs the US economy to insignificance. Job opportunities are dictated by the fields the economy needs - oil is insignificant in Australia compared to other industries. Geographic Isolation - Thank god the rest of the world is far away, as an Australian I wish it was further away. Air fares prior to pandemic were reasonable USA to Australia around $800 return - but this guy lives in Perth so to go 4-5,000km to the east coast will be expensive - on the east coast a one way ticket to another city can be had for around $50 to $80 - Again for Australians proximity to the US market is not significant we are focused on the Asian region. Natural beauty anywhere is amazing but I prefer a warm climate over a frozen one - The Canadian population is all centered around the US/Canadian border region the rest of Canada like central Australia is vastly empty. In conclusion I find many immigrants want to move from Australia to Canada is proximity to the USA but for Australians the US market or lifestyle is not attractive or important.

I am 63 born and raised in Canada all my life and can honestly say that I have never been as embarrassed to be a Canadian since the pandemic where we let millions of immigrants come here take our jobs (with government subsidies) abuse of our free medicare system and have all their family members abuse it. As a Canadian, born and raised, I am much more proud to be a Canadian than if I were to be a U.S. or U.K. citizen, given the way they are regarded in most of the word. To make matters worse, there are some who become “Canadians of Convenience” who, once becoming Canadian citizens and holding Canadian passports, leave Canada to go live in their countries and when things blow off, and their countries become war torn, they ask the Canadian government to pay for their flights back, not to mention those who get sick outside the country and come back to get treated at the expense of government health care. And after all is done, they once again leave the country. Really?

However, the quality is rather inferior to HKG or even in Maindland China. The Dentistry is not free, by the way. and other specialist, such as Protates (Yes, for aged man like me ), the quality (cure results) are really 2 levels down. My sister have Canadian citizenship. After 3 years leaving there she said - that is no place for intelligent people and she and her Canadian husband moved to Europe . She had a USA citizenship as well but ??‍♀️ for the last 20 years they have been Belgium citizens

Cost of living is too high & taxes. Minimum wage don’t match reality. Highly educated or degree holders are great & still don’t appreciate how lucky they are. No matter how successful & achieved a good job professionally when you retire, they put you back below poverty as senior. Max government pension is about $1,600 . How can you afford decently & independently to live alone. Not enough to rent a bachelor apartment. I think your reading of the situation is slight from the wrong end of scope. \n\n1> the job of the Canadian gov is to look after Canadians. It's funny. I was talking with a coworker last week. He is a Canadian citizen and has been here for about 6 years. He told me that he's counting down the days until he becomes a US citizen. He has a couple of months to go. He said that he no longer cares about his Canadian citizenship. His wife is still trying to get a green card. They have a child who was born here and is therefore a US citizen by birth.

Canada sucks. I graduated 7 years ago and never found steady work in my field. Best I got was a half year contract. And then I learned that even if you make 5500$ a month, your gross pay will look more like 3200$ once the government takes its cut. And for what??? What do they actual provide to Canadian citizens? NOTHING. The only people getting anything from the government are drug addicts, refugees, and boomers. Canada is a country where everything is expensive and you get paid shit. The people suck, the culture sucks, the weather sucks...I cannot think of a single upside of living here (except maybe that it's not a religious shithole and women aren't treated like cattle).

I was born in Canada but I'm married to an immigrant, a hard-working model citizen who is loved by everyone, we have a child together and we've now decided to move back to Japan. Canadian here. Canada is a pointless sh!thole. You might as well move anywhere else, like 31% of new immigrants do. Rampant street crime, businesses are little more than fronts for organized crime, homelessness is on the rise, food, clothing, shelter and fuel are unaffordable, your average citizen pretends it’s not happening, unions are corrupt as hell, as are universities and the government. I would encourage Canadians to get involved more in politics and demand changes to the system. Housing is high in Canada due to lack of building permits and blue collar laborers. Canada accepted a high rate of white collar skill immigrants but lack job opportunities for them. Vancouver economy is tourism dependent while Alberta is energy base and Toronto financial base. Healthcare is available for every Canadian but salaries are low in the industry compared to US. The government should encourage companies to invest in Canada and create jobs for the economy. Since the tax rate in Canada is higher compared to the US, citizens should ask themselves if the money is going to good use and generating jobs in the economy.

I am a Canadian citizen who moved to Bangkok, Thailand, 26 years ago as I had a professional job there. At that time, I was attracted by the Thai culture, the weather and the quality of life. I have been married to my beautiful Thai wife (S.E. Asian ladies are stunning?) for 23 years and we have two grown up children (one is studying in Canada!). I feel that I have more personal freedom in my daily life here, under a military government, than I would in Canada. There is also fast fibre optic internet, reasonably priced phone plans, the low cost of living (I bought an apartment after the 1997 financial crisis), affordable and world class private hospitals. I have learned the language and this is the perfect country for me to retire in. I could not clearly see the future years ago, but I asked myself, where do we think the future is? With creditor nations or with debtor nations? I am so glad that I made the decision to leave Canada in 1997!

WHERE are municipal politicians supposedly limiting the construction of homes? I don’t see it. \n\nWe are aware that there are regulations in place to protect buyers and that self-serving industries lobby to do away with, as those protective regulations can reduce profits. Some provincial governments (like Alberta) are highly sympathetic to lobbies and industries, to the detriment of citizens. \nWhy are you not pointing to the fact that successive federal governments of the past stopped funding the construction of lower cost housing (thereby creating more demand AND our number one problem of unmitigated greed throughout the real estate and home building industries? We have some people in government attempting to get more low cost homes built while industries know that they can make more money building houses that are far, far bigger than people NEED. Dumbasses and keep-up-the-Jones folks unwisely buy these homes and then many of them have difficulty affording a lifestyle that they think they are entitled to. Meanwhile, lower income earners have been priced right out the market. Of course, capitalists and real estate investors like Pierre Poilievre will never admit that these are our actual problems. Regulating the construction and real estate industries could have gotten a lot more homes built in higher density for young and lower income Canadians, as well as for our newcomers. \n\nToo much blind and poorly informed anger, selfishness, and foolishness going around. Canadians of the past who pulled together during world wars would call us weak and entitled.

I have to disagree with some of the things mentioned in the video. 1. My home in Hong ‘Kong @ 500 sq feet costs the same as a townhouse in Stouffville Ont. that’s probably 1;500;sq ft not including basement; garage & front lawn. How’s that world’s worst housing crisis. Isn’t San Francisco much worse?. 2. Rich people who own housing or properties need to pay capital gain taxes or other taxes if vacant.
