Yes. Canada is not like what used to be as a good country to immigrate to in mid or late 1970s. Unfortunately, job opportunities, salary, wages have not kept us with high cost of living in cities like Toronto and Vancouver. Also, road infrastruture have not kept 12:12 up with population growth. People should do research, check out more before immigrating to Canada these days. If you are moving to Canada for peace and political stability, then yes. Otherwise, think twice! Also, the requirement for Canadian employers to ask for Canadian experience has existed since at least the 70s. But it is absurd and stupid for employers to ask job applicants for Canadian experience since the world is highly interconnected through internet these days. Provided you are working in western world or English speaking countries, job functions and management styles are basically very similar whether it is high tech industry, banking, investment companies etc.

Quite right BUT it also needs the Palestinians to live in peace and security in their land... and their land isn't ever going to be 'from the river to the sea' - whether you like that or not. For any of that to happen, they have to have leadership who accepts living next to Israel - that is why Hamas has to go.

OK hear me out, I’m a Jewish American but I have always been quite critical of Israel especially in the last 3 decades under the Likud government it’s nationalism and imperialism, with regard to its settlements and attitudes to Palestine. That said… Every time we’re close to creating good world sympathy for a Palestinian state, the power-hungry radicals of the Palestinian people always somehow ruin the progress, taking advantage of a power vacuum, and it’s stirring up the people once again that Israel Has to be destroyed off the face of the map. Then on top of that, during peaceful times with momentum for a two state solution, something always ruins it, in this case it was Hamas, seizing power over Gaza with the statement that Israel needed to be destroyed. Then Israel made sanctions to try to make that government fail, but, of course, as we know, it only starved the people and made them angrier and then they did this awful, unspeakable, brutal attack. Hamas is still attacking to this day. If Hamas wants to cease fire, they need to also stop attacking Israel and come to the table and come up with a two states solution and accept Israel. Israel is of course going too far as they often do but it’s a tough call as to what Israel should really be doing right now, while their constantly under attack and threat from their neighbors in a very active way every day.

Perhaps we should allow the other foot to have a shoe as well! Are the Israelis not entitled to have their land & live in dignity instead of the daily rocket bombardment? The “weight” will only be removed when the Palestinians lay down there arms & resign themselves to the fact that Israel is here to stay. Choose peace & prosperity over hatred. Choose life over death. If you push for the safety and security of the ISRAELIS the safety and security of the Palestinians will be a natural result of that. Israel didn't invitee the Arab League to refuse to recognize, refuse to negotiate or refuse to have peace with israel. Remember that Israel didn't ask for the1967 war, the 1973 war, the ruthless joyful killing of innocents on Oct 7 2023. Before the earlier wars the West Bank was part of Jordan and Gaza belonged to Egypt. Israel didn't ask for bus bombings or bombings at pizza parlors or wedding halls.
