schools in America and Canada are DAYCARE. they aren't Schools. also you seriously forgot to mention the rampant BULLYING that goes on., your child WILL be made fun of whether he is white black or any other race. dealing with that is scary frustrating and really hurtful. even priyanka Chopra was bullied as was I many many times by all races except Indian (I am Indian NRI living and working in New York City as a teacher in public and private schools including college courses for 20 years now). your children WILL suffer in the primary and secondary school systems here. ONLY college is where you can actually be expelled or arrested for certain types of bullying. I don't think you realize how serious this issue as a parent...I went to school in India for 5 years as a child and never once do I remember being bullied. when I came here, it was nearly every day or other day. total nightmare. forget grades. I am a Toronto Native, a nurse that used to work in Critical Care at Sunnybrook, but moved to Dubai as my husband received a job offer. That was more than 10yrs ago. I must say that every time I visit home, things are definitely worse. I notice that ppl are very negative and also rude. It's quite startling. I also see how much the demographics have changed as well. The city is also dirtier and not as pretty. I can say that if I ever returned, I would consider Vancouver, somewhere outside of the city, or on the island, but for now, I can say that I will never return to live in Toronto., We will go someplace else like Mexico where it's close enough for family to visit and it's close to home. Btw, Toronto is NOT the most diverse city in the world, it's Dubai, and UAE as a whole, where 85% of the population is born outside of the country.

This is true of so many larger cities in the US and Canada. The main issues are affordability and mental health. Now as folks find themselves homeless, many start to self medicate (major drug problems). And by the way, many move into the larger cities hoping to find services or a way to survive, so they are not all native to those larger cities. In the US, I found driving from Portland OR to the Bay Area that many homeless now live in rural areas as well. I wish I had a real solution, we all know that it will take money, which no one wants to put out. Whichever direction it goes (incarcerating folks is way more expensive then mental health and housing services), it will take a lot of time to correct these issues. I do wish that people would stop pointing political fingers and work on solutions.

... And here is why:\n1. Insanely expensive housing with next to none disposable income left in the pocket. \n2. Inability to get into the real estate market unless $$$ was brought in as an investment. This will leave locals and people who were born in Canada left out for good even further. \n3. Extremely competitive job market. Newcomers will have to suffer for a long time to break-in. \n4. Depression and drug addiction is everywhere. It's more deadly than covid but the government can't address the problem because they lose control for good. \n5. Canada is far away from many other places, which makes things worse as you feel trapped in a workcamp with no place to escape. \n6. The cost of living is getting much faster with the salaries significantly behind year after year. \n7. Canada became the country of failed government, failed multiculturalism, too tolerant as a result. \n8. Retirement in Canada will be impossible for 95% unless you agree to live in the middle of the nowhere until depression kills you. \n9. Many who came to Canada 25+ years ago and still around felt trapped. Canada's source of immigration will likely be the poorest communities who will agree to put up with everything listed above just to get out of where they live right now. \n10. Sad, but true. I have seen a steady decline in Canada since 1998. Things get worse every year.\nAmen to that. I'll be visiting Lviv in 2025 for the first time since 2000 to check on my apartment in the city centre, not far from my Alma Mater LPI. I was born and raised here, and like you I love my city. There's always something to do and see. But I feel so tied into this city, it's hard for me to imagine leaving. Any savings had will be spent traveling in all the time, especially when I work for TIFF in September. I've been lucky so far in living here and Mississauga, but even my luck is running out.

4-5 months of the year, it's miserably cold. Our nation's capital, Ottawa, is virtually uninhabitable for 3 months every year due to dangerous wind chill values. Healthcare is a disgrace. Cities aren't worth the money. The nation's too massive for public transit to be viable anywhere rent is low enough to live in. Most of us know Poilievre should be flushed down a giant toilet, but it's way WAY past time that Trudeau resigns/retires.

I came here as a student back in 2017 it took me more than 5 years to understand the system.. I lost so many things after all this years.. Now things have changed for everyone.. My time has come to live my rest of my life in a better place...

If I can afford a home, why would I want to leave? The housing crisis is a big deal for many. You can't find suitable rental in the GTA when you make well over 120k cad a year. It's not just the barriers in professions. It's the lies about prosperity and growth fed to the immigrants. You just need to work hard, and you'll live your dream is a lie. Immigrants end up eating from their savings instead of saving. Fix the housing crisis, invest in public education and health, and no will will want to leave this beautiful country. The more you earn, the more you are taxed and if you are a single earner in your family, you're punished for it. I don't want to go out and work and leave my kids in daycare when my husbad is doing a good job. I don't want my kids being raised by strangers while me and my husband struggle to maintain a decent lifestyle. When 120k isn't enough for a family of 5, it's time to leave.

Wish I had the power to just jump around around any country I want to , every time it gets hard to live , can’t even get a job else where let alone live … all this dual citizenship needs to stop

It’s very boring conversations,once you are in Rome live as Romans do. You have to give some thing to get.The thing is this that Indians has to much time,see temples,demos,gatherings,festivals etc.they waste their time while in western countries time is money. Ive lived in canada all my life, and i think the last time i had a doctor was about twenty five years ago maybe, and also ive been on a list for a doctor now for about two years.

Who in the hell would now want to immigrate to Canada ? Outrageous housing costs which consume most of your income . One has to work at least two to three jobs just to try to keep from completely drowning economically . A healthcare system which is on life support . It is next to impossible to get a doctor . Emergency waits times at hospitals can range from 4 to 24 hours . Traffic from hell in all of the major cities .... particularly Toronto , Montreal and Vancouver . The crushing cost of living . A political leader who is a complete fool who has basically destroyed the country in just 8 years . As if all of this wasn't bad enough ...... 5 months of winter from hell . Living in Canada is now an extreme struggle in every way imaginable . One will always struggle . One will always work like a dog . One will very likely fall into extreme debt in Canada just to survive . One has to pay outrageous taxes on their income leaving them with about 50% of what they actually earn after they have paid all of the combined taxes on everything that they buy or services that they use . Forget about ever being able to save money . Incomes are about about 35% less than other advanced than those in other advanced countries for the same skilled job . One will never own a home . One will never be able to start a family . One will always freeze in the winter . Life in Canada has become an absolute hell . The Canadian dream is as dead as dead can be . It is no longer a country where one can earn a decent living , own a home and live a good life . On top of all of this it has an authoritarian government which keeps passing new laws to reduce free speech and civil rights .

We left Toronto in 2019 after having lived there for almost 20 yrs (separately and as a couple). The city seems to decline a little bit more every time that we come back to the city to visit friends or for entertainment. It's truly saddening to see the state of things, since I remember first moving to the city in 1998 when it was a very bohemian and vibrant place to live. A room cost me around $350/mth, and I was able to live quite comfortably as a student. That's definitely not the case now, with mega-corporations ruling the rental market and charging a small fortune for much needed housing, as well as the constant mismanagement found in city hall. I'm glad that we left all of that behind for a small town on Ontario's west coast

People immigrate to have better lives. When they come to Canada and realize it will take years for them to find the same job they had back in their own countries (if they are lucky enough to find one), they decide to return. People immigrate to build lives that they would not have been able to build in their countries. They don't come here to start from scratch and live in conditions that are worse than what they have left behind. They don't want to have to wait months for a simple medical procedure. They don't want to pay such insane rents. People immigrate to live more comfortable lives. If they work and pay taxes, they want to see the effect of their tax money on improvements. If the medical system is free but people have to stay with illness for a long time because wait times are too high, then what is the benefit of it? We bring in doctors and don't let them work. We bring in nurses and don't let them work. The same goes for teachers and many other professionals. If a country needs immigrants, it also needs their expertise and knowledge. You either need people or you don't. Stop this double standard.

Cause before we came, when we had very solid work history and sought after credentials ( teachers, doctors, nurses) we were told that our credentials would be recognized. It turns out that there is endless redtape, overworked or incompetent institutions, and after 4, 5, or 6 years we are still dealing with bureaucracy and unable to work in our field and paying insane living costs. By the time we get our credentials recognized we have bern out of our field so long that our CV looks like crap. The smart ones leave before that, the dumb ones like me leave after, worse off, angry, and after having wasted their own money along with Canada's money fir years

I know a lot from working all over canada and they come for the free money and health care and school, as soon at they are legal canadians every single one I know/knew left because they don't want to pay the high tax and cost of living, 1 guy I was friends with for a year showed me what he got to come here and it was = to 10 years pay for me at that time. Then he sold the house and cars and left after his temp visa expired, I know of people in AB and on the east coast working here and living 5 and 6 guys in a 3 bedroom and they send every cent back to their own country so they can buy land and housing, For them it's a great get rich quick plan, The one guy I knew for a year offered to pay to have my car fixed and I said no but he insisted it was free on his free tax payer supplied credit cards, If I was not from here and they offered me all this money and stuff Id be here doing the same thing, 5 years here makes you rich when you go home. 2 bedroom condo in Mexico is $85g so if I offered you a good job that will get you a house paid off and lifetime of saving in just 5 years but you have to live in another country would you do it. 100% I would Im looking at my adult kids who will never own a home if they stay here vs the people coming over for 5 years then their set, All my kids are planning to move to a new country for this very reason they are saving and then getting out when the depression hits.

Canada is in a catch 22 situation: We need to reduce immigration to restore the trust needed to build prosperity (the research on this is absolutely clear - see Putnam, et al, for example.), and we need to maintain it to make up for labor shortages. The fact is, polls show that trust is at an all-time low between Canadians, and it is due to bringing in too many people who are self-segregating and not assimilating. We pumped massive excess cash into our economy during COVID, did not produce enough housing, introduced laws that severely constrained agriculture and dramatically increased the costs of food distribution, and brought in massive numbers of immigrants, among other things. The fact is, we have crushed the birth rate, made homes too expensive, and raised the cost of living to a point where people are desperate, and our school system has destroyed the enterprising spirit that built our economy in the first place.

It’s been 5 years for me here and I honestly can say I have achieved nothing in my life yet. It scares me when I think I can’t return whatever my parents had invested in me. The fact is you’ll never have a good paying job in Canada being an immigrant. When I say this trust me I mean it. Most you’ll get is a minimum wage job which can make you survive the life here. It’s too expensive. It’s hard to buy a house. Even if immigrant s today work hard save money, it’s not like it was in old days, where it was reasonable to buy a house. And many did. But house prices ten times higher then old days. The cold weather’. Maybe. Probably some rascism. Maybe discrimination. America and Canada you pretty much have to be wealthy to live on these countries.

The trouble is Canada is not taking itself seriously. The reality is culture matters. When you dump millions of people into a place over a short period of time, there is bound to be turmoil. The housing crisis. The Balkanization of different cultural groups. The watering down of Canada‘s original culture (the culture that made country desirable in the first place). The low salaries versus cost of living. The reality is this has been brewing for a while, and is only coming to a head now. The solutions are there, but you are “racist” if you say anything. A 90% reduction in immigration would be a good start. Then, a reduction in the size of a bloated government. Incentives for people to have families again. People should be having 2 to 3 kids on average again. A return to Jesus couldn’t hurt as the country was built on Judeo-Christian values. Then, the country will grow organically and will have some hope of becoming great again!

The problem is that people from other countries actually get to ENJOY their lives when they were living their homelands, even with serious careers. In Canada, there is NO ENJOYMENT and they have realized that if they stay here it's a life of slavery that they have entered. It's all about work, slavery, high cost of living, stress and slavery (waves of paying rent, bills, debt etc.) until you die. Hardly and social life and no potential or time for healthy for self actualization. Immigrants are waking up.

So we want foreign workers to build the homes they could not afford to live in. Even regular Canadians can't afford to live in. Wages are too low. Cost of living is too high. Not enough full-time long-term jobs. There are only short-term contract jobs or part-time jobs. Fix the job market and housing market.

I saw a TV commercial where a female immigrant was crying and complaining about her terrible life here in Canada. She stated that she can't find a job because she doesn't have the training to do the jobs. Living in Toronto is the worst part of my life. It has made me extremely negative - I just hate being there and constantly\nComplain. I have been lucky enough to travel for months at a time, and get to see how amazing other countries and cities are. But it has just opened my eyes to how awful Toronto is, and I dread the last few days of vacation because I know I have to go back to my downtown shoebox, listen to sirens and hate my existence again. Desperately want to leave, and hoping to this year, but the day to day is just so bad. I make decent money but haven’t been able to save a thing due to the high cost of living. The winter is coming and I dread that so so so deeply. F this city, I’m sorry.

Instead of taking care of born and raised Canadians they want to take care of new comers. If they just dropped the crazy high tax rate all across the board and made it easy to start business here maybe Canadians would start having children if they seen a future. We could go across the boarder and make double and be able to afford a home in our prime working years. Why would I buy a home and pay it off in 30-40 years when I could pay it off in 10 years and have my wages go into living life and investments. Canada is done They stole the future of millennials and Gen-Z here don't fight just leave. It will be 30 years to recover from this time we don't have and our kids don't either.

The sad part of this is that it's the immigrants that we want that are dragging up and leaving, the ones with degrees in medical and engineering. The ones with skilled trades and abilities. \n But sadly all we will get to stay are the dregs of society that came here looking for a free ride and hands out! The ones who've spent time and money and effort to improve themselves and better their lives will always be the last to count, Eco-immigrants and freeloaders who've jumped the border while ditching their passports and real banking info just to get a $1000 a week free taxpayer funded handout and free cell phones and housing and access to our social assistant network , will never leave unless you run them out of the country.

This will leave locals and people who were born in Canada left out for good even further. \n3. Extremely competitive job market. Newcomers will have to suffer for a long time to break-in. \n4. Depression and drug addiction is everywhere. It's more deadly than covid but the government can't address the problem because they lose control for good. \n5. Canada is far away from many other places, which makes things worse as you feel trapped in a workcamp with no place to escape. \n6. The cost of living is getting much faster with the salaries significantly behind year after year. \n7. Canada became the country of failed government, failed multiculturalism, too tolerant as a result. \n8. Retirement in Canada will be impossible for 95% unless you agree to live in the middle of the nowhere until depression kills you. \n9. Many who came to Canada 25+ years ago and still around felt trapped. Canada's source of immigration will likely be the poorest communities who will agree to put up with everything listed above just to get out of where they live right now. \n10. Sad, but true. I don't get why so many indians think foreign countries can change their lives. You are an average student soo instead of hustling in India by doing fresher jobs, you go to Canada for expensive education from dubious colleges in hopes of getting a job ?\nI say that if you are talented you can make big in foreign countries but if you know you are an average Joe then you are just wasting money and time in Canada. It would be less torturous for you to just hustle in entry level sales job in India than going to Canada.

the country with the most of opportunity is the US ! No wonder the US has millions of millionaires than any country in the world. Even Canadians like Alex Trebek or Justin Bieber made it big in the US, not Canada…. In fact, Canada benefits from the US economy big time. And yet, Canadian economy is way behind the US…. just look how bad the Canadian dollar fares against the USD, making Canada in my opinion a cheaper country to live in. Reason why these women say Americans move there. When in fact, 400,000 Canadians flock to the US and live half the year here, not in Canada ! Canada has also less attractions to visit while the US has everything! from deserts, rainforests, canyons, beaches in 50 + National Parks, hundreds of National Monuments & thousands of beautiful State Parks. Why do I know ? I traveled all of the US….so beautiful….. i hope Canada can boast a paradise like Hawaii, Guam USVI, Puerto Rico to name a few. I had been to 85 countries, covered as much in each country. I can say the USA is the most beautiful in the world. Canada is no comparison. No way im moving to Canada…. i have the best weather year round here in California….

Great work of yours BUT I really need to say something to most of u making those videos and the ones that go along. I come from a very civilized country with a lot of education and history but awful economy. ?? I am myself educated but my country’s main salary is 700€/month and a descent one bedroom apt is the same price. There are no jobs no future if u don’t come from a rich fam. I am taking the brave decision to leave my country and loved ones and immigrate to Toronto. I Google ‘moving to Toronto’ and I only see videos that are pointing how awful is to leave in Toronto. Like it’s garbage city! \nHave u ever lived in a country like mine? Have u seen the cost of living and salaries in Europe? I think it drastically depends on your situation. Those who are living in an unsafe environment and want a place that has more safety, then it is definitely better to move to Canada. My roommate is from Venezuela and definitely Canada is 100 times better than where he was.

In 2004 I wrote a somewhat famous article called 'Top 8 reasons not to immigrate to Canada'. In short, the Canadian authorities tried to destroy my life. They made it so that I could not be employable in Canada. So I moved to the U.S. in 2005 and then some years later I moved permanently to the Philippines. I am happy that so many years later videos like yours are saying essentially the same things that I did. I was ahead of my time. I will never go back to Canada. Not to live, not to visit, not even a connecting flight. Too cold, too expensive, taxes are astronomical, no freedom, no jobs, no opportunities, xenophobic people, too depressing. It has become the North Korea of the western world.

You have failed to mention how difficult it is to land a corporate position- for every 1 vacancy there are 200 applicants applying for that same position. And needless to say the compensation is so poor if it’s not an enterprise organization compare to the cost of living in this city basically you are working full time to pay your monthly expenses with no room to save anything

I always wondered why I had to be here when the snow tilted between 45 and 60 degrees in winter and hit my face at 30-40 km/h.\nquality of food, transportation, service from employees, speed of processing time, etc there were many things that made me really unsatisfied being living in Toronto.\nsame, at the first time I came Toronto, everything looks great. but not anymore \nI'm korean and I feel really unsafe when I go and live abroad. Korea, Japan, Singapore mainly all Asian countries are top 5 in safety all over the world I think. \nAsia especially Korean and Japan have great service, quality of food with reasonable price. I think I don't need to move foreign country. \nmy background is in South Korea but I can say living in Toronto Canada was horrible and harsh for Korean. Because of multiple reasons but the harsh weather is the biggest for me. Feels like winter in Toronto is 7~8 months long if I compare it to winter in Korea. Fall and Spring?? No, they don't have fall and spring and it's all winter. they have snow in early September late April or May. It was horribly hard because the cold air from the arctic and really powerful wind came all together. even though the weather and temperature look a little bit off from Korea, Canada has a much more harsh location with weather. not only harsh weather but they do provide really embarrassing experience such as expensive payment for everything, a lot of factors disturb me from leaking money. I don't think Canada is a good country. my view of this country totally has been changed 3 years ago.

Seriously speaking i love this city but as you said it is very expensive to live in live in the midtown both my wife and myself are full time workers and we are managing the expenses, the declining ratio is for sure i blame the government, the bad thing is no matter what every other immigrant whether they lands in halifax or calgary they move to Gta or in toronto, the government should have a check and balance to those people who are nominated in other provinces and moved to Toronto, i dont blame the people it is the government they need to make the opportunity in every province and put a cap on the individual if you are landed in Saskatchewan you should stay in the same place for almost 5 years, if a person or a family live constantly for 5 years at one place they don’t even try to think to move any-other city unless they have some serious issues their, i am also an immigrant a landed PR from Pakistan Alhumdulillah i work hard my wife does the same Managing the expenses but it’s true it is not affordable for everyone now.

Trudeau is bringing so much immigrants at one time they have no were to stay and Canadians can't even get a job afford to live these days and trudeau says we need immigrant's for jobs which is fine but what about canadians that can't get a job he is bringing in immigrants and pushing the LGBT movement because he's gunna get there votes and he will stay he has to go!!!!
