Im 24 and been searching for a job for 1 year now. Not even 10 interviews. Im applying for EVERYTHING. Retail, production work, general labour, overnight work, housekeeping, cleaning / janitorial work, painting, customer service, call center, sales, factories..etc \nI'm applying in different cities and willing to take GO transit to work. \nI live near lots of big cities and somehow although they claim to be understaffed, they aren't hiring. \n \nI'd like to know the reason for this? I visited Canada about ten years ago, (Toronto, and Niagara Falls) and I didn't see any signs of racism, AT ALL! As a matter of fact, everyone we encountered was very friendly, overly friendly when they knew we were from the States, it was quiet, didn't even hear police sirens not once while there, it was peaceful and quiet, and the city pretty much shut down after ten, maybe this was only there, I don't know.

Try to visit these countries or learn from someone who came from there before you form a solid opinion of politics folks They don’t have the ability to use much of their “freedom” to “fix” things against a rigged system already (some commenters say they need to go back and fix their countries- lots of issues with this). Read up on how South American governments make it almost impossible for their own people to make decent money. Americans are very privileged and that is an understatement. The problem is with these terrible governments and even law enforcement who often get bribed by criminals and many dirty cops in some countries down there. My husband is from South America, and we know Cubans, Brazilians, and Venezuelans who beg America to stay capitalist. Part of me feels bad for them because of all the stories of how bad it is south of the border but the other more realistic part of me knows that a large influx of immigrants like this would be catastrophic to the local housing markets wherever they end up. Latin here, I came here legally but I can tell you that it was difficult as hell for my mom to bring me here, it took money and years for that, but I want you as a fellow citizen to understand their situation first, in Latin America you could be graduation from college and even with that having a good job it’s difficult sometimes, unlike here education in Latin America is not always something that all people can get and every time they vote for someone it becomes more trashier, housing for the poor doesn’t even exist, half of the country is corrupt and going outside you don’t who you may find, my brother needs to wait 7 years to become a resident (not citizen) he will be 30 something at that point, what the government should do is make the residency easier and I can tell you something like this wouldn’t occur that easily, my mom is a lawyer in my country and I can tell you the situation wasn’t easy, every three times a week there would be shooting outside my house, drug dealer was my neighbor, and at the age of 15 there would parents of two kids the sad part all this is normal, stopping it is imposible because it gets you kill, the police will kill you for doing a peaceful protest just to stop feminicide, wanting your kid to go outside without being scare something would happen to them, this people want peace and a job that is it and when your own country doesn’t even give you the right for that how could you live? I have an apartment in Manhattan, costs the same as I would pay in Australia. Australia is also very focused on connections and who you know - which school (let alone University) you went to will just about determine your career progression / ability to even get into an industry. VERY WOKE. Aggressively favors women - if you are a guy or have boys, do not move there and expect opportunities for advancement. You are very unlikely to get PR and citizenship after study (those days are gone).
