I really don't understand why even this is a news. Its implicit that when visa is about to expire, person must leave the country applies to any country in the world. Are we really a nation with open borders if so they declare it and invite anyone to come and give them PR card upfront when they onboard air canada flight.

Bring people when there are jobs and homes not when the cost of living is already crushing everyone. Fix Canada first, then expand responsibly.
