Systematic racism is a part of the system. I am a civil servant scientist working in a French lab. Before joining my new position, I worked 6 months at KIT which is considered top 3 ranked university in Germany. The way I was treated was not right for me. The head of group allows him/herself to infer into your personal life just because they can fire you anytime they want. The only country which has 6 months of probation is Germany, nowhere else keeping you like a hostage to shape you as their slave and if you do not obey, you are fired. My landlord took the whole building to Tenant Landlord board to get back every dime from the pandemic freezing rent, and now they applied again to raise rent to 5.4% on top of the annual 2.5% which will be 8% in one year if the Tenant Landlord approved.....considering 2.5% was a new rate for this year.......God bless them the landlord, the TLboard, the goverment

Literally little or no alternatives to internet service providers and firget about speed\n9. Mobile data is extremely costly \n10. Little or no support from government \n….i can go on. As a skilled immigrant you are here only to pay taxes and ask no questions.

Just invest in foreign real estate for your investment US is an easy one depending on the state Florida might come handy for some or invest in places you have connections. Once money starts moving out and building new private housing and rental availability start to get affected even more, they will understand. Anything more than 3 months to solve rental issues in the board is unacceptable and if gov can deduct childcare payment from wages then they can deduct unpaid rents too

The main thing is that you can't give new immigrants citizenship in 3-5 years!! They need to be in the country for at least 10 years and speak proper English to qualify for citizenship. \nSame goes for student VISAs!

did you know that you get a pension till the day you die for being employed as a Politian for only 4 years. and now they have just changed the money of the pension to 85% of the total wages based on the maximum earnings and it is now floating to what the current wage is. So if you retired a Politian 40 years ago and made it that 4 long years to retirement and your wage was 200k per year, you get 170k per year till the day you die, and when the current wage of the Politian goes up, they bump your pension up. That was a new bill that was passed last year. so glad we get to hear about the 1 billion per year that the CBC gets. Anyone care to take a guess at what that revolving 4 year retirement pension plan is costing the Canadian Tax payers? My guess is about 60 billion per year so far.

I come from a mix-status family, my dad’s undocumented but has been in the US for 22 years, my mom’s a US citizen, they both own a business + two homes. The immigrants that are coming into the US do not want to work and want nothing but hand outs. Why do we have people who have been here for decades, have assimilated into society are unable to legalize due to outdated immigration laws yet we have so many coming across our border who want handouts. Germany can make new visa requirements etc it doesn’t matter because German people’s mindset needs to change , we can’t learn German the moment we land in the airport this is the expectation when we land in Germany, your visa procedures aren’t fast enough and friendly , people wait for more than 3 months for dependent visa and more, also the kind of stares we get while travelling to work or shopping and more , it just feels weird , Spain France and other southern European countries are much better to live and work.

The Canadian economy is made up of 80% in the service sectors and only 20% in the manufacturing and natural resources sectors ! Need to take unconventional method. Someone break in, change all the locks and have a new rental contract signed by owner. When cops come they can't do squat until they get a search warrant since whoever they find inside has a legal rental contract. It will takes months for the courts to figure out what to do about two illegal claims 1) break entry but has legal rental contract 2) person that can't prove they live there since they haven't paid rent.

As a new immigrant to Canada, it was a dream of mine since childhood to come here. But after arriving here, I realized what a mirage this place is. I still love the country because its much better than where im from, but this is not the dream that was sold to me. This is not reality.

Same here in New Jersey. A Turkish woman rented an apartment from my landlord and did not pay any rent after three months. She worked the system for 9 months and finally, a day before the court date, she vacated the apartment without paying close to $35K in back rent. In the end, back rent and legal fees came to $43K. This Turkish woman, who happened to be an illegal alien had more rights than the law-abiding citizen.
