Noone wants to live in Canada anymore because spineless liberals sold this country down the river while telling everyone with a straight face the cons did it. 44 billion dollars spent on Ontario Healthcare this year, a budget decided by the premier, and liberals are complaining about the state of the Healthcare system. Have you ever heard of a time when 44 billion dollars went into one provinces Healthcare system for one year? \n\nNewsflash: it didn't give us the great healthcare system 44 billion dollars would have because most of that money had to be funneled into paying off liberal policy expenses. Then the same people will tell you Doug Ford is responsible.\n\nYeah Doug Ford is responsible for a sustained overspending effort by the liberals, and especially so when he had to pay their debts. Liberal debts just aren't necessary to pay I suppose, unless you're conservative. Liberals currently have no plan even because they realize their voters are hateful, spiteful people who will cut off their nose to spite their face so the plan is sink the upcoming conservative government in debt and come back in 8 years pretending to not have been the original problem.

This is a logical result of the fact that for the past 30 years Kanada keeps electing globalists, sociopaths and freedom haters at every level of their government. What did you thing was going to happen? But forget about the economy, these days they are legislating how people should address each other, and even attempting to legislate how people should THINK(!!!). It is insane. \n\nFirst time I visited Canada back in 1995. I loved it. I even considered moving there as I had a girlfriend material in Montreal... Then gradually, after each subsequent visit, of which there were at least 20, my opinion of this country went down and down, until I even crossed it from my list of countries where I would like to spend ANY amount of time, even as little as an airport layover. My last time in kanada was back in 2013. That was when I swore never to set my foot in that lib-swamp ever again.\n\nBurn in your own liberal Hell! I won't miss it...

It boils down to the Liberal Party, which has been in power since 2015, e.g.:\n- high immigration targets and housing/jobs/healthcare/etc can't keep up.\n- decriminalization/destigmatization of drugs (especially in Vancouver)\n- political correctness, censorship, gender ideology, health mandates, soft on some crimes but harsh on thought crimes, etc.\n\nAs for other things like weather and challenges in finding a job, these were always the case but Canada really started to go down when Trudeau became PM.\n\nI migrated with my family as a teen. Parents (engineer and nurse) couldn't find a job in their field. Mom had to start as a care aide while she re-certify as a registered nurse even though she has a masters and taught nursing in a college in the Philippines. Dad had to settle as an appliance technician.\n\nThe 4 of us lived in a single-bedroom basement suite, but we bought a half-duplex in Vancouver in a couple of years, which would be practically impossible these days.\n\nI make a decent amount niw and own 3 properties, but if I have to buy my house at its current market value ($1.9m), I can't afford it. Even that half-duplex, my parents sold it at 6x during a down market years ago.\n\nThen there's crime and drugs: I've worked in the downtown east side of Vancouver since 2006 and the last couple or so years has been really bad - it's like a zombie apocalypse. Glad I work remote and have moved to a suburb around Vancouver. That said, I'm highly considering moving but it's hard with kids and aging parents.

A South African who lived there a few years. Nothing felt better than getting on the plane to leave, and knowing I will never have to return. Even South Africa with the crime and load shedding is by far better. In many ways a man is more free here even if i have to live behind security systems. I can speak my mind without fear of some PC police and censorship, which is far worse prison. My standard of living is also far better here. I can ride my bikes as I please where in Canada I can only ride a few months and would lose my license in a month due to BS fines. And the people here are much more open and truly hospitable, not some fake politeness. I even missed the blacks here, who at least i can joke and chat with far easier than with canadians. I found I have more in common with black africans than with white canadians who look like me and speak the same language. We may have the same skin colour but are totally different in culture. It made me realise I am more african than western, proud of it, and I would prefer to live and die with the african sun on my face with wide open space, than in some dark, cold, gloomy place living in cramped quarters in some libtard paradise constrained by so many laws. Of course black south africans will not like to hear that whitey has no plans to leave, but this is my home as much as theirs, I contribute to making the country somehow still function, and my kids are also more interested in making the nation run than running off to Australia, or even worse, Canada.\n\nI am so glad I didn't meet a woman there and get stuck. Canadian women are very unappealing and too feminist. I am grateful I had my kids with a proper traditional South African woman, and can live in traditional Afrikaner society where men are men and women are women, and there is no place for PC, gender confusion, and other libtard ideas. And i could raise my kids as proper south africans that the liberal world loves to hate. \n\nI can understand why north americans turn to asian wives, although that could never have been an option for me. \n\nHope Canada works out for you. Im from Alberta born in western canada. It is way to expensive the health care is garbage the crime is getting outa hand and the liberal government is very close to being a dictatorship. If i could i would move th the USA and i have lived in canada for 56 yrs

As a Canadian , I see most people trying to survive on a day to day bases these day's. \nWe can blame Black Face Justin Castro Trudeau & the Liberal Communist Party for this mess. The Liberal government has been a huge problem over the last ten years. Its softness towards drugs and crime has put huge strain on the system, law biding citizens concerns get ignored. As a lifelong Canadian citizen, Canada has become a shell of its formal glory.

Canada doesn't have the jobs for all these immigrants. The liberal government is selling a scam and making everybody angry at the same time.

Canada has very high tax with little work opportunity. Canada is only attractive for third world countries who wants to live in a decent society. But sadly they bring the same hell from which they come from and bring different values which are not secular or liberal. Sooner or later it will be a mess like UK or Sweden, where a different society will demand their religious ways. And Canada is just allowing them without the bother of integration. \nBeing a former Pakistani, who is liberal, I can tell you that most of the people do not have any intention of integration. Sadly the same is going on in Australia now.

If you consider yourself a liberal, and have voted for Trudeau and his party in the past, take a good hard look in the mirror, you are one of the voters who were responsible for Canada becoming this way, when he said, “the budget will balance itself.” That should have been all the hints needed for an educated person to see the liberals had no idea about anything in regards to economics, there’s a reason so many people are moving to Alberta, because truthfully, the more conservative policies are just superior when you consider how many times the liberals have exceeded their budgets

Canada, ha you mean India, in the last decade 100s of 1000s of Indians have flooded to Southern Ontario (which by all measures is Canada) to the point that sometimes one feels like they are stranger in a strange land. Of the 2.2 million who arrived last year approx 500,000 are students They are huge profit centre for landlords and colleges and universities. And let's not talk about healthcare!!!\n\nThe other huge issue is healthcare - forget about getting a family doctor these days it's a choice between MAID or going to the US to get life saving healthcare (paid out of pocket of course). Long term not much will change - discussing immigration is still verboten in Canada and while I expect the Conservatives to form the next majority government thier policies mirror those of the Liberals.\n\nBTW it's not a half million per year it's well over a million new comers per year!

At this point, I'm ready to give up on Liberal Democracy in favor of Multi-National Mega Corporate rule instead. Atleast with them, we'd have prospects here again, and with no federal governmental laws holding us back from progressing, our housing problems will go away for atleast a few decades. Canada is sitting on a fucking goldmine of land and resources, untapped and unused.

It is encouraging to see someone who may in fact be a Liberal sharing her grief of living in Canada. I am a 5th generation Canadian and have been appalled by the situation and the damage the Federal government has inflicted to the country. That is why many, myself included have moved out or now live abroad.

I am Canadian, born and raised in Canada. I strongly feel the problem with this country is woke liberal policies. Which don't work and has eroded the quality of life in Canada. The Liberal party of Canada is no more, they have taken a radical swing to the woke left and are now more Marxist leaning which in my opinion broke Canada. The Canadian government is led by a prime minister who is grossly on qualified for the job of Prime Minister and who's policies are solely responsible for the housing crisis, Food inflation, and deficit spending causing inflation. I feel it will take decades to on do the damage these woke policies have inflicted on Canada.

Why do people still keep coming to Canada? Because it's even worse where they come from. Unfortunately, even countries in Europe are in trouble. Have a look at France and Germany. Germany is in debt and in recession; all Latin EU countries are in debt up to their eyeballs, facing bankruptcy thanks to free spending liberal governments. As for Developing Countries, their GDPs are not enough to deal with their populations reaching working age. Their growth is too slow, so opportunities abroad look attractive. And, if immigrants move onward to the USA, that is the natural flow Canadian immigration has had for decades. The Can. government will need to become heavily involved in creating affordable, high density housing, cut red tape, and make education cheaper if they want to retain migrants.

With Trudeau's communist style it's not just new Canadians leaving, but folks that are 5 generation citizen. The corruption by the Liberal party, the inflation caused by Trudeau's deficits and printing of money are factors, but the communist style of jailing peaceful protestor, ceasing bank accounts and infringement of freedoms is a bigger factor for me. We have moved over 90% of our wealth outside of Canada and spend very little time there.

Reason number 10 you should've added is Culture. Many immigrants that come here do not get used to the Canadian culture and get homesickness, especially if they leave family behind. And especially for Asian and Middle Eastern people, Culture and Family is everything, so they go back to their home country for that. Now, especially with this LGBTQ+ agenda in schools and Liberal influence, many immigrant parents are not happy about it, and that's why they leave Canada. So Culture is such an important factor, which I think should've been the 2nd biggest factor after the 1st factor being the high cost of living.

The longer you live in canada and pay taxes the more you should be rewarded, but like cell phone companies the liberals treat new citizens and refugees better than veterans and born Canadian, so if immigrants think it's bad imagine if you were born here and the mass immigration just made it ten times worse.

The only way we can fix Canada, is to get rid of Trudeau and the liberals. They have and will continue to do as much damage to Canada as they can. I have seen a government so dedicated to destroying a country as Trudeau and his party. Truly evil.

On my way to work this week, I was stopped at least 7 times by new immigrants \nwith a suitcase on wheels looking for a foodbank but could not speak a lick of \nEnglish. (They were lucky I could understand bits of their Mexican / Spanish)\n\nThey aren't my problem. They are Trudeau's problem. I never invited them here.\nI'm just glad I opened up my own business years ago and became successful \nbecause Trudeau's Canada has all the Govt jobs reserved for indigenous, black,\nlgbtq and other exclusive liberal groups. \n\nIf he can't even give jobs to those 'special groups' which I'm not a part of, then \nthey aren't my problem. Yes, there needs to be a moratorium on immigration now. We need to take care of Canadians here in Canada first. Why does Canada need Immigration? The Gap between Canadians who are retiring and those who are in the workforce (and hence are paying taxes) or are supposed to enter is increasing. There are more Canadians retiring than those working. Result? The Canadian government has less tax revenue (and perhaps more expenditure as a result of Increased pensions etc.). So now, either the government has to Increase Taxes (More taxes? Hell no!!) or bring in New Immigrants to increase the tax-paying workforce of the Canadian Economy. Hence, immigrants are needed and the political parties including Conservative, Liberal, NDP, etc. know this and are inviting immigrants in record numbers. The issue is too much red tape in Building housing options in Canada, not immigrants
