Lived in the US for 4 years and bought 5 rental properties in my home country. Now I'm retired at the age of 34. It was the best decision I have ever made. My observations are followings: \n- The Germans are looking for more likeable worker than skilled worker. If you looked/act different, you might have hard time to find a good paying job. \n- The worker should have skill but should not smarter than the hire manager. The smarter you are, the more unlikeable you are, since you put pressure on the manager.\n- The discrimination mostly doesnt happen infront of you, but rather through burocracy. Its intended, not coincidence if you have a hard time.

Same here in New Jersey. A Turkish woman rented an apartment from my landlord and did not pay any rent after three months. She worked the system for 9 months and finally, a day before the court date, she vacated the apartment without paying close to $35K in back rent. In the end, back rent and legal fees came to $43K. This Turkish woman, who happened to be an illegal alien had more rights than the law-abiding citizen.
