For those questioning the need for more immigrants, look at the numbers: Canada would struggle without immigrants to support its economy. We just need better visa regulations to ensure only skilled workers are allowed in.

As a permanent resident who immigrated from Eastern Europe, passed all the stages of the official immigration program (skilled worker) I'm just shocked what is happening in Canada. Canada is lost, the problem is much deeper than you think. The main problem is not low wages, high property prices, etc, the root cause is that native Canadians are too tolerate, too kind, too polite and can't just say (and act) - get fucking out of my country, all those illegal indian students and temporary workers. \nI believe cultural damage being done to this country is much more dangerous than any possible economic benefits from mass immigration. It will only get worse if it’s not called out. Until immigrants and permanent citizens recognize all of this is benefiting the rich up top Canada won’t improve.

Our university age children all hold US passports. None are planning on staying in Canada after graduation. One has already left for Europe. Why would any young Canadian with options elsewhere want to remain in Canada when mainstream political thought believes it sensible to flood the labor market each year with hundreds of thousands of people, the overwhelming majority coming from two countries.

“Anti-immigrant “ has a negative connotation and I dont think that is an accurate description of how people are feeling. People are not generally against immigrants or immigration, but against a system that is ill equipped and lacking the infrastructure to meet the needs of Canada’s economy and the immigrants that would boost that. Even if you study stats from government subsidized housing, most immigrants work and get out of help but the old immigrants (whites) usually don't flip out of the situation for generations. So there is no reason to tie and blame the Indians for our old problem of homeless population. Stay on point and stop tying it down with non-related issues.

Renting is the worst business in Canada. And the Toronto, Ontario and Canada Governements wonder why there is shortage of rental accommodations. I can easily accommodate one family in my home. But I know if there is an epidemic like Covid and the tenant does not pay the rent, I will be screwed. And rather than have a plan that can enable a tenant own a home, the Governments mentioned have plans that will make the landlord bankrupt and become a tenant! The tenancy laws are bad, bad, bad!

I am living in India and planning to go us but still i don't support immigration at such large and bombarding scale. When I came to Canada as student 10 years ago I \n- never planned to work part time when I was in school.
