Great video. I am a Canadian that works with newcomers. I have lived abroad and back again. We recently did a trip to the U.S. A great trip overall but I agree with a lot of your comments about the suburbs. We saw some beautiful neighbourhoods in the US (and here in Canada) but there are almost no signs of life. I grew up in the suburbs and it was nice as a kid because we were always outside but as soon as I finished school, I couldn't wait to get out. My old neighbourhood is now a bedroom community built for the car. Now, I live downtown in a major Canadian city. My house is very small and old but I wouldn't trade it for the world. I always see people, rain or shine, snow or hail. I see families, dogs, dogwalkers, children, seniors with canes. I love it because I see life. Living in a neighbourhood like the one in this video would indeed feel lonely and isolating.

I have always wondered about this. You look at literally any other continent in the world and you see many people out on the streets hustling and bustling. Especially here in Pakistan, everything is always alive. But whenever I look at the U.S or Canada on Google Maps, I always get this strange lonely feeling. Why are the streets always so empty? I have often thought that despite the endless amount of celebrities and YouTubers, journalists etc. who are always noisy on the news and social media, and portray a very lively image of North America, I really felt that the situation of the common man is quite different. The common man of North America must not think that their neighborhoods being this lonely and empty is normal. After watching this video, that belief of mine has been validated.

We tried to move to Ottawa but we couldn’t leave Quebec. It’s our home and we got homesick fast. Montreal is a fun city and the restaurants are the best. Sure the taxes are high but we have great affordable daycare systems, great restaurants and overall great homes. All of Canada is great my heart will always be in Quebec

I want to say thank you to both of you for sharing this info. I have discouraged many people from their thoughts of moving to Canada for many years. I love this video and will share with more people. People are always so surprised when I suggest they do not move to Canada, its a good video to help them understand .

I've gone to Canada a few times. All of my questions are always: Do you own a gun? Do you have your gun? Do you have any rounds?...

Canada is always looking for slave labor. The Healthcare system is broken. Taxes are outrageous. People are mostly psychotic.

It's sad to see that people are is these situations . I think Canada will need to figure out how we deal with displaced people especially those entering from ?? illegally.\n\nUnfortunately the amount of misinformation and lies in media don't help in providing any clarity for displaced people .Canada will figure something out . We have always found a way to have a ❤

Always been friends? Thats funny because pretty sure that iff WW2 had not happened, Canada would have invaded the US as payback for the 1812 war. Because without WW2, the US never gets a war economy, all they have are riffle foot soldiers. Meanwhile Canada was already in a war economy due to its massive involvement in WW1 and viewed the US as a rival with a dangerously high population. Also in WW1 Canadian were feared for its crualty and its no mercy policies of make no prisoners, kill the surrendering, kill the wounded and their families. And right after WW1 Canada was in the perfect position fix the population problem by committing mass genocide against the US. It was really in WW2 where britain forced us to work side by side with the americans that a real friendship started between the US and Canada.

It’s funny how young Americans currently wouldn’t allow anything bad to be said about Canada. Young Americans believe Canada is what America should be and that it is a perfect country. I always thought it funny how Canada built all their major cities along the Border, they literally piggyback off America. I’m from AZ, I’ve watched immigrants come up and get jobs and start businesses without even being able to speak English.

Ive lived in Canada for 51 years .there has always been a job for me in all the 4 western provinces when i have asked for work. You must be flexible and possibly travel long distances to work between cities.people are friendly and willing to help .Some friends i know go home every few years and visit their Dr.then. many others have only been to the eye Dr.and dentist .A good healthy life in the North and all the freedom one needs .Eat fish and wild meat and all the berries and mushrooms you can pick.Doctors have been available when needed.Things in Northern Canada are expensive! Everything! Plan everything you do as weather can be a problem unless you are prepared.Ive often thot of moving back home but after a visit each time i have felt that i did not have the freedom of space and the wiggle room to do as you please on your own property.Cheers!

And by the way if you don't like it here you can always leave eh! Canada is not for everyone you need to be tough and resilient to live here, The climate can be brutal especially during winter but I love this country, to me it is the best damn country in the world!
2022-01-01 0
Pretty easy to answer that ....cause the liberal government lures them here and they find out its cold and you have to pay taxes that are always going up and the wages are falling behind , while Trudeu spends money the country doesnt have to suit his agenda and doesnt do a thing for the west ....hence the worst goverment in history of canada... be living in motorhome for the rest of my life . Im not even an imigrant but im thinking of leaving .

Not even from Canada, but glad I found this video, very informative. I've always heard positive things about Canada coming from the United States, rarely anything negative. I guess there's always two sides to every story. P.S. Really like the channel and the info that you provide, I follow the both of you on instagram as well.

I wish someone would explain the possibility of international marriage. I like to marry a foreigner, but not for her passport. \nWish I knew if Canada can give me a better dating life. A serious relationship with a foreigner (she must not have Canadian passport, but I don't either, so will any girl like me there)\nI think girls there will dump me to be with Canadians and I will be as alone as I always was.\n\nI'm studying abroad for 16 years now, kept myself away from my country with student visa so far. \n\nIf I can't date, I don't care about taxes, insurance, weather, tech, santa...

This video was very informative. I live in Upstate New York a stones throw from Quebec and have always wondered about Canada. In the US we hear how great it is. The healthcare, and other social programs. I didn't realize how much tax you guys have to pay, ouch!

As a Canadian I found this very informative and interesting. I have always been interested in hearing what people from all around the world have to say about other places. I value different perspectives greatly. Now I shall want to ask what my friends have to say about Canada.

D'awww, always nice to see some love for Canada. Hello from your 'beautiful, but inhospitable' neighbors! Remember when all the jokes about Canada revolved around denim and folk drinking Pepsi for breakfast?
2021-12-09 0
'touring canada' always means toronto and maybe vancouver and nowhere else lol.

“Canada is next to which beautiful but inhospitable region?…. USA” I died laughing because it’s true ? excited you’re coming back here though guys! LA is always happy to have ya ?

I wish it were so easy to emigrate to Canada ?\nI love you guys, you always make me laugh even though I feel guilty about doing it with some jokes.

The perfect explanation ever seen in youtube. As a i have been living here for more than two years and i have always been struggling with employment issues, healthcare system, housing prices and many others , i cant really be honest to my parents, back home how hard living condition is here. even though if you spent many years of educations and gained experiences or got your master, its not gonna help you ever in canada. personally its too hard to start everything from the scratch its just waste of time. back to Asia.

I’ve lived in Canada my whole life, I’ve gone through a year of culinary school and passed high school with decent grades. Yet still improving my quality of life is an uphill battle. Bus prices and efficiency is awful, if you don’t have a car good luck cause you’ll spend much of your wage on bus fare and still have to walk through poor sidewalk systems to get to your destination. Schooling really didn’t teach me anything about taxes, or getting a job. But let me tell you I sure as heck know how to lease a car.... can’t wait to get a job so I can do that. My year of culinary training, under 4 red seal chefs has gotten me not one job. No matter how perfect you are for the role is you will ALWAYS get an entry level position first. (In my experience at least) and they are completely right, references are 100% key. I have a first shift tomorrow (wish me luck) that I only got because my chiropractor gave the pancakes house owner his reference. Very weird but I’ll take it. On top of all this winter just sucks, politics have gone nowhere in years, and if you don’t live in the major cities of Quebec, BC, or Ontario it’s going to be even harder. Plus living in Manitoba is odd cause people always call it “friendly Manitoba” but everyone (including me) is always frustrated. Needless to say I’m in the process of researching new place to move to, most likely in Europe cause America has all the same problems. (But worse)

Getting immediate quick help in life-threatening situations isn't always the case either. And the attention in hospitals in Canada aren't always that great. My daughter is born in Bolivia where me and my wife are born and grown up . Later we had a son born in Canada, I was really really disappointed we got no better care as we did in the hospital. And comparing our daughter born in Bolivia was premature by C-section and costed beauty over 2000 USD , our son was C-section in Canada costing 18000 CA$ . Based on the attention gotten in both places I had no doubt left of where I'd choose to have the next child .

Very entertaining and informative. And you have a very funny upbeat presentation. Based on this I have subscribed and am now going to peruse the other videos. Looking forward to spending more time with you. This was very positive which surprised me considering the title refers to worst to best. Even the worst in this country has something to offer and frankly that's the people. What I love most about Canada is no matter where I travel I'm always home. ??

Why alwayes they ask for experience, what bout training and fast learning\nI can do alot of things here in my countery without any certificates unfortunately\nI can draw well, still learning web development online, while i already have a \n job as (what i may translate to) Preventive \n Medicine specialist, i don't think this ocupation needed there in canada\nSo i hate to wast time trying for no avail\nAm i right?

Everytime I look at Canada I tell myself wow, what a beautiful country, but then I realized how depressing life is here in Canada. As an immigrant I have so many thing to be thankful for living in Canada, but also so many more things why I am planning to leave. Housing is unexplainablly expensive, cost of living is going too high for wags to catch up, drug problem visible in every city, mediocre jobs , unwilling government that has zero Desire to make this country grow to its full potential the list is endless. I will always love Canada, but life here isn't as good as it's portrayed to be. People just live so they can work so they can live to work again and can't even break even, many are too depressed and end up on drugs rising homelessness.

I lived everywhere in Canada except the Territories, Manitoba, and N.B., and I always come back to Quebec. It's NOT that it's better in everything. It's just that it's better in everything that counts for ME!!!\n- It's the CHEAPEST place to rent or own but has great wages and a high minimum. \n- Most of our cities are in the St-Lawrence valley. That means we have a LOT of local produce in-season. \n- We have a diversified economy. Less manufacturing and heavy stuff than Ontario, but LOTS of high-tech and knowledge-based jobs. With a HUGE service industry, bloated by the constant influx of tourists.\n- It's got the BEST quality of social life in the country. It's an all-year party and club season. \n- It's got FOUR real and distinct seasons.\n- It's almost as beautiful outside as BC. Until autumn and the colors, then it's better for a few weeks.\n- It's got the BEST social net in the country. \n- It's got the most beautiful women too. No question whatsoever about that one.\nAnd it's the SAFEST... That and being cheap to live in are the two main points. I'm bilingual, so I don't care about the French-only oddities, they are few and far between. It's 2021, not 1980. The Internet and Cable tv from the US changed EVERYTHING. ALL of the kids and young adults will answer you in English if you aren't acting like a jerk. So will almost anyone under 60.

Taxes are higher in Europe, when you move to a new country you will always struggle finding a proper job, prerequisites are needed......weather even worse elsewhere. It's usually the people from 3rd world countries that fail in Canada.

I always say Canada is the better Germany - Germany 2.0. ? That's why I want to move to Canada plus imho you have a benefit if you like America in General. :D Europe is kinda boooring. ?

When he says 400% above the national average, what state would that be similar to in the USA? I’ve always heard Canada has a low crime rate.

CANADA is always a first stepping\nstone for most FILIPINOS and are still\nstreaming in CANADA ... THERE MUST BE\nSOMETHING GOOD IN CANADA.

Having been all around this great big beautiful country, while I love Quebec because it is like a cheap and easily convenient flight to Western Europe, I'd say that the Maritimes are the hidden gem and heart of Canada.\n\nAnd after having seen all of Canada, I always felt that if I was Prime Minister, I would make it a law that every citizen would have a free VIA train ticket, good for the rest of their life, to see the entire country. At least once.

Im a pediatrician, from Ecuador, South America, Im 36, my english is 6/10. Im a bit lonely and I find it a little difficult to be sociable, plus im not a fan for cold wheater but i can adapt\nFor the other hand: \nI'm good at problem solving \nI like to help everyone who needs me and trusts me\nI love children, of course\nI prefer to do things myself to know that they are well done\nIf I cant do something or dont know the answer, i will find it.\nHere my country is full of corruption and insecurity, in general people dont respect other... Always think in leave to a first world country, Do you thing Canada will be my chance? =D

You are the type of guys who like to always complain all the time no matter where you are, just stop complaining, I moved to Canada ?? 30 yrs ago ,still love it
2021-09-20 4
100% correct. I was one of those who left Canada. The funny thing is I found many Canadians (not migrants) who are engineers worked in the low income jobs in my place and a very good friend of mine who is a Caucasian Canadian at the end moved to South America. Another thing is it is not always easy to move on from low income jobs there. I met an Indian who is an engineer after living there for 30 years became a taxi driver.

You got your degree with low level in Punjab city. You can not get admission in Delhi University. It will be hard for you to survive in Canada. Can only work as truck driver, which is always suitable for Sardars who want khalistan?

I'm preparing to move to Canada in future. Is it hard for a translator/interpreter to find a job in Canada? Currently i know 3 languages, which are English, French and Russian, and i'll have a linguistics degree soon. I heard that everywhere in Canada everything needs to be written both in English and French. Does it mean that translators will always have work or am i wrong? Thank you! ?
