Indians are nice people , only problem is the come in big numbers , Canada needs to have quota system for countries , one solution, so it can maintain a healthy balance.

As an Indian, I would like to apologize to the natives. That lady spoke the truth - if you are moving to a new country, you have to adapt and respect their culture so that they can accept you easily. Most people coming to Brampton don't even know how to communicate in English. I would like to share a true story that happened to me. In 2021, I was coming to Canada and I was standing in the boarding pass queue at the airport when a guy asked me how to spell Canada. I was in complete shock. How can you go to Canada as a student when you can't even spell it?

The situation is not the fault of the students or the Indian students. It's solely the fault of the Canadian government because no Indian student can come to Canada without a student visa. They are accepting so many students only for financial gain. This is a result of corruption. But unfortunately, all the hate will go towards Indian students even when it's the government's fault. Many students have been misled by Canadian colleges, they have invested a significant amount of money and contributed to the Canadian economy, only to find themselves unable to secure employment. As a result, they are left with no choice but to return to India and confront their families and communities. This is a major factor contributing to the high number of students returning to India in unfortunate circumstances even suicide.

Im an Indian from the state of Kerala. In my class from college nearly 20 of them came to study in Canada. Believe me these people who come are not that academically good the fun fact is that the academically brighter ones never went abroad all of them got a decent job in India itself.. I'm not saying that all of them coming are trash my ex gf now in Hamilton was extremely bright and got a decent job there..the basic issue is that Canadian government must have strict standards for foreign students Australia has it. As an Indian I feel your frustration feeling like stranger in your nation is very sad. ? Fellow Indians seeing this there is Malayalam saying that when you got to a land where they eat vipers you must eat it's middle portion. So try to become a Canadian don't turn Canada to India.

I’m an international student from China and I never worked here. My Indian classmates ruined our final project. Wearing slippers for presentations and even cannot finish a simple website, my roommates are Indians as well, and they are all good. But some students they’re not come here to study, just for work. But just keeping the balance between study and work, will make other students have bad experiences. I also want to get the PR here, but it depends on my abilities and other factors. I love country music, K-pop, and pop Jazz, I watched a documentary about Canada before I came, and I was a volunteer at the London Air Show, Comic Con, Food Bank and Ronald Macdonald House. In addition, I also help the Church group make posters and videos. You come here is to integrate local culture and accept the rules and order, you can keep your own identity a features. Don’t forget you are a foreigner, you are the guest now.

I have lived abroad for last 47 years, with god's blessings and grace life has been good, have pension and free medical treatment doctors medicine,i travel to India every year but medical treatment is a scam there and any thing which is simple abroad is complicated in India especially if they know you are living abroad they make it more complicated or scam you especially for medical treatment, traffic in Bombay is terrible, takes hours to move around in cabs , public transport its not possible to travel, so much or garbage around and pollution and the heat and rain its impossible to get out the house starting March until September its terrible luckily September to March can manage in India and its winter time abroad during that time,if it was not for the winter abroad my first choice would be abroad compared to India, people who are used to comfortable life and maids in India can't manage abroad, even I can easily afford a maid when I m in India I do my own house work in India as i do it abroad\nThe millions of Indian who live abroad complain but never coming back for good\nSorry to say indian are the most racist even among themselves caste, religion, State,and 99% of indian are fake and show off much more than their worth

Someone above asked why so much Indians. you see indian student's out there - yes they had to pay 20K-40000CAD FEES to colleges + now a days 20,600 CAD GIC to Banks in Canada. \nEach in total spends 40-80k cad. \n\nAnd every day from the tim cup , pizza/ burger to food delivery you see indian. Student/ work permit holders/ pr they work up to built our canada. \nTalk about health care ( Doctors,nurses,psw,dentist) Transportation, \nhard- cheap labour,\n IT projects, Constructions, mechanics....name it you have INDIAN playing a major role. \n\nHow did canada expanded and devolped so well ? I have noticed in my city in Australia, there have been an influx of indians coming in. All the delivery drivers on motorbikes I've seen on the road are Indian and they don't seem to care about our road rules. They drive dangerously.

Canada is a corporation and I guess the more immigrants WE have then the GDP looks better. I am a Canadian and my mother was born here and my grandmother came to Canada in 1907 from the USA when she was 7 years old. I was born in the 1940s and brought up in rural surroundings. Back then We had traditional beliefs and I had farming background. Connection of relatives and helping our neighbours were how We lived. I became a schoolteacher. I saw that in 1954 when I went to school that learning was not natural and it was fear based. Then I completed a dip. of ed psy and then I decided that if I ever wanted to help change the system that I would require at least an m. ed. - leadership. I knew the university I went to would not be able to say no to me when I applied to get into this program. However, I was too much of an negative influence on the younger students and had to finish the last couple of classes at home and which I did. Today, the families have been divided, people do not connect or communicate properly and I have to question what living skills did I learn? Instead, my head was filled with propaganda which sadly, I've had to relearn. I say, stay in your own country and fix it there. Indian has some wonder ancient wisdoms for healing and health. The OWNERS of our nations like the banking families realize that when new immigrates come in that they assimilate more, and the older generations begin to question what THEY were taught and why. I remember when say a barn burned down or one had to be built that neighbours would help build the barn for the farmer. Then we would all celebrate and the women would get together and cook the food and we would have a barn dance. Life was simple then, but connection was authentic and we didnt lose ourselves. We must know ourselves and our history or we are lost and so many people live in chaos and ignorance. Learn to become our Divine selves. Learn to understand that WE are living in a fictional world when We are educated to be who we are not.

Im Bangladeshi-American, born in America. My parents were immigrants. I dont understand how its anyone's concern what language people speak with family and friends or if someone does not know English. In a free country, you can speak whatever language you want, wear your cultural clothing, and eat your culture's food. why does one need to adapt to the local area? The law doesnt oblige them... Also, these indians came legally no? In a democratic Canada that let them in... people voted for this directly or indirectly. Also, to your point, its the whites that are homeless and on drugs, how are indians to blame for white failure in Brampton? Indians have strong work and study ethic, so you should welcome that. As an Indian With lots of Canadian Based Indian Friends , I can 100% assure you that None of these people are there for education or to finish their studies and come back........They are there to gain a backdoor entry into gaining Canadian Permanent Residence......

They should not grant extension from the beginning. Bad decision. Student visa is not working visa. Most of these Indian are coming to get residents and benefits. No intention to contribute anything to our country.

They rent a house on my street where there are at least 8 living in a 3 bedroom home. The basement was renovated to make room there are 6 cars where the driveway is for two. They operate a car detailing business from the garage and cars are parked up and down our street. This will ruin our street and neighbourhood wake up Canada the word is out and Indians are coming here in droves.

I am speaking as an Indian, who lived and worked in Thailand for 2 years, and now will be moving to Europe on a specialist skills visa. Indians as immigrants have been a productive addition to any country worldwide, compared to other nationalities. But the only exception case is in Canada. \n\nThe reality is, in Canada, the majority of immigrants are only from a specific part of India (Punjab), and most of these people are deluded, uneducated and unskilled. You are 100% right, they are not there to upskill or even contribute. I can bet these people have not even lived in big cities in India itself, they come from villages and small towns and have never seen how modern societies or even cities work.\n\nI feel sad for Canadians because most of this is their government's fault. My only thoughts is Now a days, ONLY INDIAN's are hired everywhere, such as Tim hortons,security,best buy Banks,Senior Care agency,100 % ALL Canadian Business Sectors are ALL INDIANS, where are the Diverse culture,when only INDIANS are hired. Such as in Tim hortons, All will be INdIANS, All the Agencies have a INdians in Human resources and they hires only Indians. Indians are hired in 7 days after coming to Canada, everything is negotiaged from Upper level,thats their statement.For us, canadian citizens,in 2011, we had to wait 7 long moths for work permit and we were not allowed to work.Some according to my friends,only Indians'are hired,people who are canadian citizens had to wait in big line for a job. Indian dont have to wait just coming here after 7 days, they get job or hired. If one Indian's work in one office,there will be 10 Indians next week. Where are the Diverse culture now?

At some point, my father worked in the oil industry overseas. A bunch of Indians showed up wanting a managerial job, along with the hard working Americans and Europeans. The latter were confused,l. They thought that those Indians must have lacked the knowledge to read, write, or think, to demand a management position, when Americans and Europeans worked so hard to be where they are now. \n They advised the Indians to never want to see their faces again. \n I come to Canada, and see Indians and Chinese sitting in our parliament. You cant just blame federal or JT for this issue. Provisional governments are equally responsible as well. They allowed mass international students due to their (provincial) going down economy for various factors. They made false promises to students that students can get PRI in less than a year, otherwise do you think students were willing to go to these cold areas to study without any benefits? You made a promise, now its time to fulfill.\n2. International students funds the college/school by paying fee 3 times more than a Canadian one. There was no check and balance from provincial governments on school/colleges, because they liked the inflow of $$$ within their provinces.\n3. Totally agree with you that fake students should not be getting any merci. But are all the fake students from India, not really. Both the federal and provincial governments were allowing more Indian students because they wanted to have more economic ties with Indian growing economy. \n4. Punjabi (including Sikhs) is one of the best marshal races to serve in army or security agencies. Our Canadian officials never hire personals without a proper security check. \n5. Khalistan's supporters are adapting a peaceful way for their freedom land. As far they are peaceful, we should not have any issue with their struggle. Just like we do not have issues with Quebec separatists. \n6. 99% of indian international students come to work in canada and not to study.

I know for a fact that 95% of Indian and African students don’t even attend their first semester and withdraw before their tuitions are kept. They usually apply to private colleges. I work in social and community services. Many of them come with mental health illnesses and the parents pawn them off to Canada on the pretense of them going to school only to end up on social assistance because they can’t find work.

Truth! The majority of Indian students came to work and not study. Why? Many had borrowed money to come or had their parents borrow large amounts of money because of the financial pressures. Many became Uber drivers adn working more than the 20 hr limit per week under the table. What is Canada going to do with one million foreign students. If you actually did study and graduate then you have a good education to go home with. You people think that you can come here, not follow the rules and now you want to change the rules just to suit you.

It's not the fault of the student's. They pay a lot to get here and they work in the service jobs that many young Canadians do not want to work in if we even have enough native born Canadians. They are victims of the greed of Post Secondary institutions and the mismanagement of the Trudeau government. Take a look at the open immigration policy for people coming from Iran, Syria and Morocco. Last time I looked Iran was not a friend yet we open the door to these countries. No vetting, no security and no age limit. 70 plus years old coming to Canada on Work Permits. This will affect our healthcare. Indian students paid and worked for their chance to live here. Take a look. Investigate the special programs for different countries in the middle east.
