If people from Mexico stop coming to work for Canadian farmers during harvest time, no one will want to work for such low wages as they do. This means farmers would have to pay more to local workers, which raises two questions: Can farmers afford to pay more to local workers, and are you prepared for food prices to rise even higher?\nSo why doesn't Rebel News focus on all the 'refugees' who enter Canada, don't work, and receive various types of financial support? I was born in ?? and at your age Alina I left Vancouver and moved to Europe. I too saw no future and no way of having quality of life there. In the past 20 years I have watched ?? just fall apart and get worse and worse and it breaks my ❤️. One has to choose where life will be best for you and then give it your all. For me, by far, it was the best choice I ever made because the life I have now would never have been achievable, especially in Vancouver. People will tell you and you can tell yourself that you can just move back and visit all the time but in reality, that does not happen and you need to accept all the loss that leaving will bring. Why the government gives indian students to work permit for 20 hours or 40 hours. Indians students are here to study and study only not to work full time or part time and stealing Canadian jobs from our Canadian kids. 2.5 millions Indians in 2 years entered Canada is a big mistake for Trudeau government.

Deportation is a traumatic experience for anyone, imagine u left Ur home country, sold every assets. You settle in a new country learning the culture & laws. Getting acquainted with the climate. Taking into consideration that over time while abroad (be it Canada) things may have changed from the way u left in your home country. I hope indians will reflect of what they're doing, like indian students, i see some of them don't pay on the bus, i had experienced when we were waiting in line in bus station, i see them cutting line, they were lucky because Canadians are polite, and just let it go, one time an indian male driver parks his car on where the bus pass through in bus station, in tim Hortons most of the time they give us the wrong order, and i always had a stomach Ache when i eat at tims, but i never had problems when i order from other coffee shops, only at tims, and in our neighborhood they throw their garbage on the side of train rails, and it was clean before the indian immigrants move in in our neighborhood? Canada is Ruined? but i know there are good indians out there who follow the rules, i hope their bad habits will stop its ruining the indian community

Not so acurate information. During the college time students can work only 20h/week. Unless it has changed. \n\nAlso, it’s IMPOSSIBLE to get permanent residency before graduation because you need Canadian experience (full time) for at least 1 year in specialized areas. \n\nOnly if you successfully complete your program you get the full time work visa per 3y. In this time it’s going to be possible TO APPLY for permanent residence. \n\nBut not only that. Canadian experience give you extra points in the immigration program, but also a Bachelor’s degree, or a master degree, work experience in your back country, English level, and age. \n\nI don’t know for certain countries if the rules are different, but as long as I know, it’s the same for everybody. \n\nWhen I came as an international student, I had to prove the college was paid, also show I had enough money to support myself for 1y without work. Also, the program at college that costs $4000/semester for a Canadian student, it costs $8-10.000 for an international student. \n\nMy work visa (during college) allowed me 20h per week working only. \n\nTo get my study visa approved I had to show intermediate English, money, work experience, Bachelor’s degree (I have also a master’s), and explain why I wanted to study in Canada and why that program was related to my current career. \n\nTalking about jobs; I have worked as a housekeeper in a hospital (on weekends). After I graduated I became supervisor. \n\nSome people complain about students and immigrants getting the jobs, but what I’ve seen was a lot of people complaining EVERY DAY about their jobs, about their lives, etc…but doing absolutely nothing to change it.\n\nI got here as a student, I became immigrant, I worked as a cleaner, I graduated at college.after 2y working full time I got the permanent residence, and I was back to school. \nI got a Master’s degree at McMaster University, and now I am a manager in a big hospital. \nImmigrants taking the jobs??? Canada has always been a country that welcomes immigrants. Throughout our history we have averaged around 250k immigrants per year and this was sustainable. The issue now is that the Liberal government has broken the system by allowing almost 1 million a year especially when you factor in international students. this is actually a really good summary of the situation. just like how India has their bad people who have caused problems we canadians also have similar people in who are just as troublesome if not worse such as the junkies on the streets who I see all the time here in Montreal and cause so much chaos. a big argument which I also feel like is that we should only allow the best of the best to immigrate to Canada. my mom was an immigrant and is an incredibly hard worker who is more than deserving of a Canadian citizenship and even my close friend who immigrated from India is just like that and is also 10x cleaner than anyone else I've ever lived with. the fact of the matter is that we need to bring back those high standards which we had in the past and crack down and send back those who abused the system and illegally entered the country. I was born and raised rural sw Ontario I farmed and worked in business. My business work has taken me across North America and travel to US about a dozen times a year. Honestly you guys are spot on, I try to say the same things to people and they don’t get it. I have travelled somewhat as well probably not as much as you guys but your funny and accurate in your US Canada assessment

A student visa is for Studying. Not for permanent residency. Not for citizenship. Not for brining one's family over. Not for working illegally. Student Visa = Study = Graduate = Return to your country to grow your own country. If one paid illegal brokers to get a visa for a job, that is not Canada's fault. If you falsified your Immigration papers to falsify you are coming to study and your family has sufficient funds it is not Canada's problem you have to repay illegal broker loans. Whomever is here past their visa period and working full time instead of continuing with their education, should be deported immediately. This is taking university seats from local Canadians and taking full time jobs away from Canadian legal citizens.

The problem is simple. If its an issue of cost of living, while its true that it is very high, its very high across the industrialized world. That is because the causes influencing cost of living are not related to inside Canada but are being influenced by foreign actors which Canada has no control over. The Ukraine-Russia War for example is causing increases to food costs which are not easily overcome. The situation in the Middle East between Hamas and Israel threatens to spiral into a regional war and that threatens the oil supply and the present price for oil and gas. The Houthi have been making it hard to traverse the Red Sea which is forcing shipping to travel around Africa rather than directly through the Suez Canal to the Mediterranean Sea meaning those additional fuel costs get transferred over to the consumer. As for housing, while efforts to cool housing markets have been made, Canada's housing market is still relatively hot meaning the prices remain high in big cities. Its like a perfect storm. Increased costs on mortgages are an attempt to push down inflation but in the short term you are going to feel that as well. Also we are living in a transition period as the world sinks back to the older model of trade before before Bretton Woods in 1947 which is leading to a decoupling of product lines that at one time coming from Asia were cheap but are not more expensive because they are being made back in the home countries. Transitions do come with a price. Finally, add taxes which help to deal with health care, social programs and government services like embassies, foreign missions and the army well yeah its a perfect storm.\n\nI hope you have luck where you end up but do not for a minute assume that the grass is greener on the other side. Even Japan which attempts to keep certain costs low, has been forced to increase its national consumption taxes to offset overall costs. It isn't going to get cheaper but more expensive as we move back to the old trade model. However, as the world weans itself off of the World Trade Organization and the IMF, the world also re-opens the potential to a Great Depression because that was the reason Bretton Woods appeared in the first place. The world isn't going to get better but far worse.

We definitely needed help in filling in the deficit of employees that are needed in Canada! It is a shame that ALL political parties did not solve the housing issue which we knew was going to be a problem, many decades ago, even well before the Harper government! This is not rocket surgery! LOL\nIn Northern Ontario we have a LOT of Indian immigrants. All the ones I have met are very well educated even though they are working in the service industries! I know several Indian Canadians who are Doctors, Teachers and Engineers! Almost all of my experiences have been positive! Of course it is human nature to always highlight issues, for example: I caught one group of people throwing garbage in a parking lot, and immediately notified them that they had dropped something, and even followed them with the garbage. One of the group stated, it was just trash. I told him there was a garbage can right over there, and I just KNEW that they did not want to throw it just lose on the ground, and wanted to help keep our town clean. They said sorry and politely picked it up and placed it in the garbage can. Hopefully lesson learned! I politely and respectfully spoke out, to a good resolution.\nMy parents were immigrants from war-torn Germany. I know ALL about prejudice for new immigrants. Our parents being German-Canadian at a time right after WW2, where MOST Canadians had an Uncle, a Father, a Grandfather or someone they knew who had fought and some died because of Germans! I'm a truck driver & when you spoke about manners it reminds me of the numerous times while on the road I will flash my lights to tell another truck driver his trailer is clear so he can come back over into my lane, but 90% of the time the Indian drivers don't flash back to say thank you. Little things go a long way & having good manners is a big deal in Canada.

Yes, it's out of control now. I am not against internet student but they should know their limitations. Giving them working permit is a privilege already. How about us Canadian who pay their taxes. Spouses of international student shouldn't be given a working visa. Now we are having a hard time to find a job. Even me it's more than a year now that I can't find a job. I even applied in Tom Hortons but no luck at all. How are we going to survived? No more EI. I've been here in Canada for 32 yrs. We have to eat and pay our bills too. This is not fair. Govt. Indians aren’t the only problem. A Ukrainian family of 2 adults 2 children was receiving $9000 from the Canadian government in assistance . Meanwhile, If a Canadian owes $10 in taxes, the government is coming after you and will charge you interest. The entire immigration/ student , work visa , refugee program needs to be reviewed. Changes need to be made with quotas drastically reduced.. Laws need updating. I’m not saying we don’t help people escaping drastic situations, but we can’t be a free for all society. If our governments were smart we could have the largest housing construction and business development program in the history of the world. I recently worked in a fast food restaurant owned by a foreign national, to begin with there was about a half and half mix between the foreign students and Canadians, it was well run, nice place to work and we pretty much got along, suddenly the owner started advertising for help only in his own language newspaper, as the usual turnover took place all the new hires were of his nationality, students who were limited to 20 hours per week wound up working more hours than the full time workers which in my books left me wondering how much studying they were getting in, Covid hit, I asked the boss if he was going to sign up for getting us paid instead of laying us off, he said he wasn't eligible for that program and laid us off, after he laid us off he applied for and got on the program, suddenly names the Canadian supervisor had never seen working for us appeared on the payroll and mysteriously when we got back to normal and got called back they never did appear in our restaurant. I'm not a racist, have always loved working with other nationalities, but rules are there for a reason and need to be enforced, a lot of folks are taking advantage of our lax enforcement. If you want to work in Canada you should apply for the permit before you come, if you come as a student you need to be a student, if you come as a refugee you should declare that status before you get on a plane. When we have people living on the streets and in cars because housing is not affordable we need to question how many folks we are bringing in.

CANADA is a real nightmare for international students, and the visas must be renewed every two or three months. My cousin went to school there and she had a hard time. They wanted proof of income from her parents and the source of their income. It is too cold there and it is not for me. They have empty land and need workers. They want them from Europe and not Africa or the Caribbean. Students in other countries get a yearly visa and don't have to submit documents monthly. It is ridiculous and grossly unfair.

With a visitor visa you head to the boarder to USA they turn them back and at Canada boarder they can app;y for work visas Take a look for yourself they post this on X and youtube not kidding. If you are a student that must leave they apply for extention on student visa this takes a minimum 90 days then if turned down you apply for work permit takes another min, 90 days if denied you apply for perminent residence takes another min.90 days and so on and so on you can apply for a 2nd opinion on all these taking another 90 days each time. Worrse case you work for cash and just stay

Need to start deporting when visas are up. Canada can no longer float people who are here temporary. It’s time to go home.

dude, I think you are too busy smelling your own f@rts. I know so many people even before 2018 who were citizens of Canada and they could not find anything that pays more than 45K a year. Do you have any idea how expensive rent is in GTA? Are you telling me that those temporary workers took all those 50K jobs? LOL. The real problem is, Canadian corporations and government is sooooooooooooooo corrupt that they bring people from India on visitor visas and ask them to perform tasks that should be performed by highly skilled workers such as in high tech sector. No wonder our data is stolen so comfortably all the damn time. Besides that, corruption is so high that they deliberately kill any new ideas because that will inflate the salaries. So, those old fat rich SOBs will NEVER let young immigrants introduce new ideas, setup new startups and get frustrated and move to the US. I know so many people got frustrated and moved to the US because of MUCH better salaries. This place is sh!t and will always be sh!t because only sh!theads can live here. Canada's A team runs away from here.

Good about time! No more immigration for now. Housing, jobs, health care, and so much more are in trouble cause we allowed to many in. When our values and customs are threatened then enough is enough. We are told Merry Christmas isbad now cause to many immigrants who expect to change Canada to the places they fled from. Indians invented scamming. Once I heard they were coming here in the early 90’s. I knew Canada was done for. It was just a matter of time.
