Those US citizens who did not vote for tRump and we support Canada. My husband is a retired Airborne Ranger who worked cooperatively with military personnel from the UK, Canada, Germany, France, and other democratic countries around the world. We are just sick about how tRump has treated our allies. He is a bully and a draft dodging coward. We don’t blame any of our NATO allies who apply pressure through tariffs, etc to give tRump the consequences he deserves for his bad behavior. He is hurting the US country and its citizens, being cruel to their people lower income US citizens. Middle and lower class US citizens are going to be suffering under his US as he is trying to get rid of every program that helps us live with dignity. He is hurting our farmers. We know that he is a narcissistic psychopath. Most of us can’t wait until he and JD Vance are out of office, and hopefully in prison. They don’t care how many US citizens they hurt with their greedy megalomaniac agenda. We are sorry that our administration is being so unreasonable and hope you can forgive the rest of the US citizens that never wanted this situation with you and our other NATO allies.

I stand with canada and Mexico. My question is why trump chose such a idiotic path? Its like he wants to cause chaos. It's like he wants to destroy our stability. Id like to introduce a bill to allow a special election by the people to remove any president or elected official whoes actions are detrimental. I think a 2/3 majority is fair. If I really want to make sense of all this non sense, in this 'alternative truth world', I will say that, in fact, Trump is surprisingly the best advocate for sustainable development! Because, if the tariffs have the expected consequences, trade between both your countries will decrease, meaning less trucks on the roads, meaning less fossiles fuels, less production, less consumption, meaning less emissions of CO2. Is it what Trump really wants?

Ridiculously proud Canadian here. As much as it genuinely upsets me that things had to come to this, it came as no shock. tRump has always been jealous of Canada - our oil, natural gas, timber, minerals, etc.. tRump is ridiculously jealous of our younger, fAAAr better looking country AND Prime Minister. \nSeriously though, Canadians ARE a proud bunch. I voted for Trump, but it's hard not to agree with Trudeau on this even though I find this guy to be extremely unpleasant. There's no reason to start trade wars all over the world and in particular with our neighbors. It's one thing to threaten tariffs and a very different thing to actually apply them. If you do it has to be accompanied by a lot of diplomacy so that the other country is not overreacting, but Trump has been super combative prompting our neighbors to respond in kind to save face. While past deals may not have been great for US, this is not the way to handle our differences. Billionaires like Trump and his friends will be fine, but the majority of ordinary folks in the US and Canada will suffer. Very dumb, indeed.

It should also be stated I'm not a fan of Trudeau at all, but I commend him for helping out with the fentanyl situation. Also I don't like how Trump is Siding with Russia. However I do understand his stance on not wanting to continue to send Money to Ukraine to keep the war going on longer, As we have sent them Billions of Dollars in the last three years. However as a US citizen I also have to state the the US has a history of supporting countries that were invaded in the past, which we have done up to this point in Ukraine.
