As an Indian immigrant myself who came here many years ago, I completely agree. Canada was very different back then. Businesses want cheap labor and politicians want future voters, hence the immigration scam. All the more reason to push for automation and eliminate low skilled jobs. Otherwise keep importing large numbers from the 3rd world and turn Canada into a 3rd world country.

I am an international student, just wanted to ask Canadian people, why target international students, i am from India, i can guarantee that any Indian student coming to Canada brings at least 100k investment that directly gets used by the Canadian economy. My problem is why target us rather you guys should look for people who are coming to this country like refuse and use candian tax payer money and get all the benefits Canada offers, but us on the other hand we pay taxes like normal citizen. Just ask this question to each and everyone.

It's a double edged sword. The industry (fast food, food retailing, services) WANT those people, be it international students, refugees or other to work because there is insufficient response from the local population of young people. Even certain restaurants and hotels had to remain CLOSED after the pandemic, because they could not find enough people to work. The government covid money dissuaded the local population from working. It is a huge mistake to admit so many Indian students attending low-credentialed private colleges and then allow them to work 20-30 hours a week. Trudeau and Miller are to blame for this. But at the same time, there was a labour shortage due to the ageging population and the fact that people have fewer kids today. Canada should give greater priority to trained professionals in areas where there is a need, such as construction, education and nursing. People in India, China, eastern Europe and other countries can get very good training in technical colleges, but it is the wealthy families in these countries that don't want their kids working these jobs.

5 years ago, my community was predominantly Caucasian. I wanted a little more diversity, but now it's insane how many Indians there are here. I feel bad for them sometimes because many have no place to stay. Sure, they have money, but there is no housing for all of them.

I think racism is on the rise in Canada, because communites are seeing masses of Indians overtaking their community and erasing canadian culture and replacing it with their own. India is a third world country, I don't think nice canadian communities are receptive to tens of thousands, if not hundreds of thousands of Indians then coming into that community and speaking their own language, playing their own music, following their own relegion, celebrating their own holidays, dressing like they do back home, playing cricket and soccer etc... and that becoming common place rather than tradidional canadian culture. Wrong information. Students and new immigrants including work permits just pay 1000 dollars for 1 bedroom basement apartment in Toronto. Many Indian home owners give them rents at much lower price than the market rate which goes up to 1400 dollars a month but since they are Indians and new to Canada they give them for 1000 dollars a month. If students 3 people live in that, if families 2 people. Indian home owners do that for food cooking smells and other reasons. I see some new immigrants both working couple make up to 90k per year but still live in basement apartments for more than 3 years to save money. Indians are money saving people, do not want to spend money.

Lived in same Canadian province my whole life, here’s a solution to immigrants complaining go home to your country. Canada has been ruined by immigration but to be more specific Indians, they are everywhere, in PEI every single service industry job has been taken over by them and so a stigma is created working in fast food, gas stations, ect. No other race works there but Indians, it’s easy to spot an Indian on the road too, if not a massive dumb Punjabi sticker on their door just look at the license plate, you will see their surname every time. It’s a joke. It’s worse when you go to the gym and are surrounded by 80% Indians as some smell Soooo bad. So please, just go home. In 2023, I met an indian doctor who wanted to migrate to Toronto. I told him to go back to India and pack his bag and move to guyana. He will make more more in guyana as a medical doctor and having his own pharmacy.

Well, Indians just want to take from a system they has no inputs in building over decades...good jobs, PR, social services environment etc. Many are not even real students and simply wish to migrate and bring their entire village. And they do that not just in Canada, but almost all developed western countries. Even in countries like Singapore and UAE. Even their companies hire mostly from India.

Let me say it, u didn't do ur research before moving abroad, abroad life is not for lazy ppl who don't want to work on their own. Didn't u know how was the life abroad wen u have ur relatives there. And the positions u r saying are voluntary for parents, it's not a job,it's called lunch duty. You didn't try to find how life, society is there. Who asked u to hire a basement, looks like that u weren't financially ok therefore u had to hire a basement. Ppl have nice houses there. We’ve been here since more than a year now and we don’t have a car and we love the pollution free air here and the work life balance. If you live downtown, you don’t need a car as public transport is very convenient. If you don’t want to do things on your own and you definitely need the help from maids and so on, then Canada isn’t for you. It all depends on where you find a house. Very few people in downtown own cars. If you want to live a healthier life, Canada is a good place for that. We came in winters and settled with the help of relatives and thankfully it’s been good so far. Summers are amazing here. Job market is a struggle currently but it’s not permanent. And it is possible to find a job from India if you try for it. If you’re in IT, you don’t need to start from scratch. There are Indian stores almost everywhere and many Indian restaurants as well. You just need to find your place. And it’s an amazing place for plant based vegan people. Food quality is amazing and great safety restrictions. Healthcare also depends on where you live. If you find your people and friends and keep socializing with family, loneliness won’t be there. It’s better to move to a new country when you don’t have kids. \nAlso the accent gradually develops and there’s nothing to worry about. This place is very diverse and there are people with very different accents from all around the world. There is some struggle initially but it all depends on what your priorities are. Life here is very comfortable once you get used to the lifestyle here and the biggest thing is, work life balance and the quality of life. If you want to do things other than your job, this is a good place to do that. Kids also become much more independent here. Rest it all depends on what your goals in life are. Also one of the biggest factors is, if your partner/husband isn’t willing to help with housework or cooking, you can’t survive here. As simple as that. Many factors to consider.

Im a skilled construction worker who wants to build my own home but permits alone here in ontario are 250 thousand just to start. This is why houses are not being built and existing houses are worth more. The problem is the fees and permits. Terrible regulation of the housing building sector is what caused the supply of houses to be insufficient for any population let alone big groups of immigrants. ALSO HOW THE F. As an international student from India at a top university with a scholarship, I found it quite odd when I go to the Tim Hortons near McgIll or literally any food shop in Toronto and found talking to the guy/girl taking the order in Hindi. I am like bruh wtf I went from India to mini India, wasnt studying abroad supposed to be a difficult prospect. The senseless immigration that happens through diploma farms, that only increase the population of unskilled immigrants needs to stop. Like Canadian healthcare is on the verge of collapse, cuz u dont have enough doctors yet you want 200,000 more TimHortons workers from Punjab. I do not understand this policy. \n\nI also question the impeccable brain power of the Indians who leave the comfort of their family and home (which imo has massively better healthcare system) to come here and then live a life of hardship due to not having proper education or just not having enough money.

Finally some good decision by this goverment. Coming as an international student to actually study my self I am proud I want to best university and completed my degree properly. I have worked in private colleges and back then I literally saw the way the system worked. Me and my coworkers sounded alaram way before the economics of this problem, I am glad now that situation is solved now goverment needs to thourly check each student for there REL document in english especially from India. They buy real document becuase their are Ielts employes from india who sell them. Pleae check properly the documents of each indian student!!

I was a student I had Indian roommates who hardly spoke English. I don't blame them because they want a better life. Who I do blame is governments who create suffering for both Canadians and individuals who come here thinking they will have a better life. Some of them come , right after grade 12 only one thing in their mind to get immigration! Most of them come to get same degree management or hospitality managing hotels ! These degrees don’t get them anywhere ! They all want live Vancouver Toronto no one wants to go to Manitoba Saskatchewan and up North ! People open up private colleges,have little room to teach them on line classes ! Money grab ! No one give them right information before they leave their country! It cost them too much money to get here, but then they have to work hard to pay for their fees , or they have to buy work permit , it cost 35 to 50 thouesd to buy work permit as long as they work for same people for two year, not making that much money ! Life becomes hard !

Indians are most blends with the culture and customs of any migrating country! Naturally they do not have any agenda like others like communists, Islamist or Christians or any religious duties etc. This is the one of the main reasons Indians shine and successful wherever they go and perform best, loyal and real Value to host countries. Communists steal technologies and other secrets and export to their country, some come in the name of peace lovers and multiculturalism but they do not like native people and their culture and want to make host countries of their own and make the natives as kafir/slaves. Any country that needs people should welcome and foster Indians to benefit, progress and peaceful co-existence! Western countries, Japan, SK population are fast declining and madly accept any and majority of them are come to destroy the very foundation of their cultures, freedom and democracy - a fatal attraction, may be because of their past colonial Karma to pay their prices! Indians - particularly those who follows native faith & culture are very smart, patient and very tolerant - may look simple and failing but they are the one going to rule the world with their brain, ahimsa and hard work!
