how will they identify the illegals? what happens to the businesses who lose employees? employment rates are high in the US. we have high employment in australia with many businesses who cannot find people to work in their businesses how will they identify the violent criminals? will they increase the police forces/army? will the costs of doing this outweigh the benefits? what are the benefits of getting rid of these people beyond some 'trumped up' idea they are somehow a threat??

This woman has no idea how messed up our current immigration system is. The fact that she thinks her deported cousins could successfully reapply or that she said “I stood in line for hours and days to get my green card” just shows how out of touch she is. First teach your kids to atleast complete high school. The statistics of white kids dropping out of high school is so high and yet they complain of stealing jobs. And the few children who do complete high school won't even go to college or do their post grad. And the ones who actually go until that level will study in ivy league colleges that too in the US. And those kids will never come back to Canada and work after that. They will get a job in US itself. So stop complaining that Indian students steal jobs when they are the only ones available for those jobs that require a college or post grad qualification.

My experience has been different. Came at age 48 with family mostly for children future. Initial struggle followed by more than 20 years full time work in a company owned by Canadian but most of us working immigrants from different countries. Had a wonderful experience working as a team. Company grew from 5 including owner to about 30 when I retired. Most of of my contribution was from skills I obtained on the job. The flexibility I got was help to spouse and children. The three of them achieved good outcomes. Taxes are high. I never worried about that as children had professional education with no financial help. Only my steady basic facilities provided as I had steady though lower income than what I had back home in relative terms. What we get back from taxes we pay in health civic facilities education for children is great return of taxes paid. What I got was quality living. No luxuries. My purpose of coming here more than fulfilled. Happy family. Grand children now enjoying higher quality of life than what I had or my own children had. I do notice recent trends of immigrants expectations not very encouraging. I have enjoyed the multicultural atmosphere friendship and regard for each other. My colleagues and I have been of great asset to the company we worked in.

I cried out not to vote Trudeau in because I listened to the Generation that already had a Trudeau in Power prior and it took eons for us to get of the mess he made. God knows how long it will take the next prime ministers to get us out of the mess our current GOVERNMENT HAS MADE!

But today Ontario with 18% acceptance of international students to medical school (of course they went back to their countries to practice,leaving us short of family doctors) has now ban this practise to medical schools. Hopefully other provinces. will do the same. There are many of young Canadians who want to study medicines who couldn’t get in. My friends daughters had to go to Caribbean’s and UK to study and eventually has to stay there because they met their partners there and also could not convert their degrees to return to Canada. Canada only accept 400 out of 1400 doctors to come back here per year.

Close the borders. ZERO refugees, ZERO Indians. Canada should be CLOSED. Would you have your own family and children suffer while you took care of someone elses instead?? It is time to reclaim our country back. Get them the hell outta here. Bring in skilled workers and professionals, whose level of skills and education is on par with ours. Our country has turned into one giant sanctuary city, full of criminals who want to harm us, while at the same time are living off of the taxpayers. These politicians don't have to deal with the filth they're letting int the country, cause they're shielded by their lavish lifestyles and luxury homes, that they too are taking courtesy of the taxpayer. It's time to get back to common sense.

Too late. The cultural shift has begun. Our children can no longer get summer or part-time work due to those jobs going to subsidized immigrants. Then they have to compete with said immigrants for rental property at inflated prices. Gen Z has all but given up, and they're right to do so.
