I would do it for now. Im a born canadian of indian immigrant parents. Ive always followed the rules of canada my homeland, but have always felt the undertones of subtle racism. I think you were surprized how much you enjoyed to exploration of Russia a few years ago but quality of life was very good then but even better now, but retaining the unmatched access to culture, very low cost of living much lower crime rate than Canada/US/Europe, and cost of living about 1/10th of Canada, great health and easy to get a residency and citizenship due to being from Ukraine originally. For your travels, it is a little more complicated due to US sanctions but from here in St Petersburg it is really easy to travel by bus to Estonia and fly anywhere in the world. Estonia is the cheapest cost of living in the Baltic. I have flown to California several times using that route and to London the flight is $50 euros. \nAlthough you explored a lot here there is so much more to see and experience.\nThere is no doubt the western countries that relied on cheap labor and resources from colonies are all in a downward spiral and the east is rising. All the BRICS countries have positive growth in quality life and economic growth and a total of 108 countries have either applied or expressed serious interest in joining the largest trade block in history while the US empire fades at an accellerating rate. I would not go back the the crime, homelessness, anger, poverty of the US but have family business to take care of every 4-5 years. The decline is not a temporary downturn, the banking collaps that is accelerating now and impossible to pay back debt, it is really sad to see how the US is turning out. When growing up in California we had everything , really the golden state but is a wreck now. The politics is corrupt and owned by the employers of lobbyists.\nIf you come here to St Petersburg I have extra room in the city center with a Metro across the street and walking distance to more culture beautiful parks and zero hassles or conflict on the streets The crime rate is so low I can't even remember anything significant in the last 10 years, walking anywhere in the city of 7 mil would be safe at 3am. What is needed to teach escape velocity is firstly, courage. Secondly, you need insurance coverage. You can be ruined just by going for a day trip from Canada to USA if you would have a car accident or a heart attack while abroad. This is very serious. Secondly, once you are old, living abroad might turn out to be impossible just because of health care coverage. They expect for someone to come to work to speak German on C1 level, I mean for a reasonable job and on the other end they're allowing all the immigrants in that don't know German at all. They want cheap labor, period. As well even if you're from some other EU country they look at you differently so I don't know how would they look at someone from outside of EU. Would avoid Germany, only as a last resort.

My move would be to the EU. They understand what a social contract is which is mostly lost in N America, esp the US. Spain would be the most likely for me with its climate, low cost of living, relaxed lifestyle, very low crime rate, rich history, great food, fabulous beaches, attractive, clean cities, a thriving movie industry, regional diversity.....the list goes on and on.

Would his answer been the same for Syrians, Iraqis and Afghans? Why would any Arab country be interested in accepting Palestinians after Black September?

I'm 51 years old, came to Canada when I was 36, I do love Canada but late for my age to immigrate again. If I was young I would travel to Scandinavian countries. Good Luck to you!!

Same story, also moved to Canada(French Canada!!! :D) when I was 4, I'm 32, been in Canada like 24 years. Easy fit, my Dad was Canadian, so got Naturalized easily. I left Canada at the end of 2020. Mostly because of Covid/Work Opportunities in engineering. Now living in the USA with my Canadian Wife and visiting Canada 2 months every year, also happen to be born American, so again, easy(easier**, still hard) move for me. Currently working in engineering, less travel experience, but I did get to visit or work for long period of time in 5 countries. Anyway, I do have similar opinion, I think the solution is a federal housing initiative. We NEED to build north and have more cities than Toronto,Montreal & Vancouver. It would reduce rent & mortgage by a lot. Essentially solving the ''where are we going to put all those immigrants issue'', then secondly, we need to encourage entrepreneurship and business a lot more. We need more jobs and be less reliant on our USA neighbors or EU neighbors 3. Better transport, surprisingly a lot of Canadian don't visit all other Canadian province and prefer traveling out , hell, I want nothern Canada & Nothern Quebec to be more like Alaska, or make it easier from someone from Quebec to move to Alberta, but still easy enough to visit family and friends in their home state in under 3 hours. ;)

It's not just Canada that has fallen, the WEFs tentacles stretch far and deep. The UK, is broken, my home of 52 years is no longer home. My wife and I have decided to leave, there is no way on God's green earth we would send our daughter to school in the $hithole that is called England. We are researching like mad, currently top of our list is Bulgaria, Albania, Mexico. It's a huge scary decision, but we can't live like this in this broken land, it is heart breaking to see the country you loved torn apart slowly and painfully piece by piece. I worked with a Pharmacist who Escaped Canada almost 20 years ago, now he wanted out for Tax Purposes , he definitely was not a Typical Canadian and he probably didn't see this Coming, he just wanted to keep a Much higher Percentage of his Check and knew from his Parents that would never happen in Canada

I'm experiencing something similar, I wanted to travel when I was younger and even did tourism at university but never ended up having the means to do it and family dependent on me financially. That's changed in the last year but I then came to a realisation when looking at buying a home, why buy here when I can emigrate like I used to think about? Even if I didn't like it in the end it would be a working holiday, and I'd have more opportunity to travel as well. Saving some more money up then applying next year, think I'd regret not doing it.

So many Canadians in the same situation — perhaps use your Canadian passport ? so many better places for you to be… find a nice job across the border in the US — it’s so easy to get a TN work Visa, or work tax free in the UAE, or build a nice career in Singapore. I had the same problem with Australia — it’s my home, and my heart will always fondly call it home forever. Australia is a big country with small job market, generally ignorant (but nice) people and limited economic diversity. One gets proper civic amenities only in either Melbourne or Sydney e.g., top notch medical care, a wide variety of groceries etc. Taxation is very high and although some people will tell you “we are well taken care of…” that is not true nowadays. The Australian Government’s policies over the last 40 years destroyed manufacturing, the economy, working conditions and inflated the property market. A reasonable 2-bedroom apartment in a Sydney suburb could cost you Au$2000-3000 in rent or Au$500,000+ to buy — and that goes higher as you get closer to downtown Sydney. The problem is that incomes are not high enough in Australia and housing quality is less than average overall for these ridiculous prices. Food, tolls and petrol cost a lot, although Sydney and Melbourne’s fresh food markets give you better prices than you’ll find in most other cities. My wife and I had a combined income of over Au$300,000/year while we lived there. We finally left Australia and moved to the US because even with our relatively high income we could only have an average house for around Au$1.8 million, we couldn’t fill up the tub and have a proper bath because of water restrictions, our kids would get an average schooling and their only dream in life would be to one day own a house. We didn’t want to live like that, so we wrapped up and left for good. The US is much better for skilled people — I don’t mean plumbers, tilers, roofers or landscapers, although life is good for them too. I’m sure someone will reply to this comment about the gun violence in the US. All I can say is that in the US we have the option to defend ourselves whereas in Australia we are expected to quietly die if someone kicks us in the head, stabs us or shoots us. Quality of life is good here in the US for me and my family. Fly free, mate!

I am sorry to hear this. I am in the same boat. I moved here around 37 years ago and found this country much better compared to my old country, especially when the army killed students. I decided to stay in Calgary, Canada. What makes me sad is seeing Canada going down the drain. While seeing everything getting worse, my old country becomes a prosperous, advanced and powerful country. My classmates back there were mostly high-level leaders, and some of them became elites. As the best student in the class, I could not get position even close to theirs. Only good thing is that I have been making a lot of money due to my strong technical knowledge and the capability to do difficult work. I hope I can at least maintain the same living standard when i am old, but it looks less and less certain. If I realized this at your age, I would have moved back.

Any other country would fight for their country, or like Ukraine wait till a country can take them in.. but not these..they fight k*ll all the time and we are expected to just let them in. Give them money housing etc and that ps more then we do for our own

Hi Alina, yes I think most people must been kept in so much suspense and perhaps many like me must have move forward hoping the answer is there somewhere towards the end of your video. I perfectly understand what you say about Canada. I think it is largely due to really poor and incompetent leadership and to some extent, a lack of independence to do what is best for Canada instead of another country. Whichever country you choose, I wish you all the very best for a happy and more fulfilled future. There are many countries in the EU that are poorer then Germany (e.g., Portugal, Greece, etc). Why don't we see more migration within the EU itself in order to fill these open positions? It seems like it would be way easier to recruit from within the EU since there would be no need to apply for visas.

I also didn't like the answer by the comissioner, because she told in a way that this is a responsibility by every country to take refugees. By this answer she provides the wrong signal to asylum seekers (that they can demand something from host countries) and also I don't think that it should be a respinsibility of the states, but their will. It should be win-win offer for both sides. But of course I think everybody would like to help to people in the trouble, but recources are not infinite everywhere also. And also there are a lot of imposters. That's why I don't like when governments provide too much social support for all. It should be, but limited. And motivate people to be independent.

You can not demand technical skills aling with language skills, people would definitely choose to improve their skill instead of language, whenever I am applying to the jobs, the simple reason of rejection - language. There is no solution other then accepting other languages!

All this hate talk. Canada has a population about the size of California. We will never be overcrowded. Tokyo has 14 million people, so Toronto is a drop in the bucket, and yet Tokyo is a great city. The whiners say it is not racism, yet I am sure they would not bat an eye if it was all Americans moving up here or Europeans. The mass movement of people has been going on for eons, as people tend to move from bad areas to better ones.

A boat can only hold so much before it sinks. Canada already had a big housing and unemployment problem. I know people would love to be altruistic but you will end up drowning. It’s the same thing in the US and Europe.

My fellow non-Germans….Don’t make the mistake of coming to Germany right now. The country will sooner or later have a crisis due to its politics and their companies falling behind in competitiveness due to incompetence and arrogance. Instead of blaming themselves, they will blame immigrants, including you. Also, if you are a qualified foreigner, you will have to come to terms with being a second class resident, watching how natives enjoy their life and expect you to do their work. Only “luxury jobs” with a strong union like IG Metall will ensure you a fair treatment. But most of these jobs are occupied by 55+ yo people that are waiting for retirement without innovating or contributing absolutely nothing to their company. \nThe woman in the video is happy because she married a local (for love of course). With her low salary as a nurse she would be absolutely miserable and lonely. The Indian guy has a family, and well, he comes from India.

Yes there are a lot of issues that needs to be addressed. However, its immature to blame every problem onto immigration. Most of us dont know enough about how things really works. Its not like if we stop immigration then all these problems would be fixed, in fact i think we need this population growth due to low birth rates and lack of labor etc. In my personal experience i see in real life where immigrants are working and contributing in all kinds of fields, such as construction, health care and elderly care … instead of pointing fingers, first educated ourselves on this topic, and then think about how we can make this work, i think that would be more beneficial for everyone.

I would love to live in Germany, I speak some German. But it doesn't make sense for me since wages are low compared to the United States. Its a shame too since I am an IT expert and from what I hear its extremely easy to get in, and most jobs don't require ANY German. But the pay is almost half. Sure, I'd probably make up for this in quality of life improvements versus the United States, but I'd be broke, in a small apartment in a major city, unable to do the things I enjoy in life. Maybe suitable for someone in their 20s-30s, not me.

Hey man. I think that the 2 leaders of opposing countries, religions, “teams” whatever, they should meet, promising everyone is safe, promising to each other n keeping their promise, and they should have dinner or lunch, maybe breakfast. But they should face to face, share a meal and talk. I promise u that things would change for the better. We all should do this. There would be way less war, eventually none. Was there ever any verification of this story or anything she said? The answer is no. Because if there was; many half-truths, discrepancies and misrepresentations would have been discovered in her story. Hearing a story and not getting verification of the facts is just lazy and poor journalism. This video actually contributes to the problem of racism and prejudice. Because it's extremely inaccurate and a misrepresentation of real facts. And presenting it like this without verification just fuels the flames of racism.
