When one group of people are favored and allowed no accountability, division occurs. Germany created their own problem in their flawed, points-based model of their government pension system. It is like we are paying backwards, where our money earned right now is taken away from us to pay for the pensions of retired people who earned those rights to a government pension years or decades ago during their working lives. We are then given points, with the hope that the next generations one day pay for our own pensions. See the problem?\n\nInstead, people’s hard earned monthly payments towards pension could have instead have been invested for them into actively-managed portfolios of bonds, equities and commodities. Thereby, each and every person currently on pension could have enjoyed the benefits of decades of compounding growth!\n\nNow we are here, as the video says, 2 workers are needed to cover the pension of 1 retired person. This is absolutely absurd and they will never be able to attract 400,000 new skilled workers every year with the current issues highlighted in this video.\n\nMy best advice - when you are working in Germany, seriously think about it to save and invest a portion of your net income and prepare yourself for a future where you cannot solely rely on your German pension!

There are so many Canadians graduated from universities no jobs and paying hard osap , why need professionals from international , use our resources.

Classic. Just as I expected: not a SINGLE word about the fact that Germans themselves are leaving the country in droves. Why? Precisely because of the reasons mentioned at the end of the report, plus the number of people leaving for greener pastures more than doubled after 2015. Look up the BKA statistics if it hasn't dawned on you yet. Poland and Czechia are MUCH safer now than Germany. \n\nThe other thing that should have been mentioned are those tens of thousands of young Germans who don't aspire to learn a trade or get higher education. They aspire to nothing. I believe it's some 60K people yearly. That's a lot.\n\nAnd finally, despite all that massive influx of people since 2015, how come there is still a lack of workers? I'm genuinely interested in the employment rate among ppl who arrived in the 2015 wave and onwards. Even though German politicians of the currently ruling parties would never admit that the generous social benefits are a great pull factor for immigration, it's not hard to conceive, this is everday reality. \n\nIn conclusion, one could say that Germany is deterring the capable and attracting the incapable. Isn't this a sign of self-loathing and suicidal society?

Germany needs to be more welcoming of immigrants. The jobs required seem to be only tech ones. Students with MBAs and Masters in the social sciences find it extremely hard to find jobs.

Borders exist for a reason. It’s not fair to citizens of ANY country to dump hoards of unknown, unvetted people onto us and our cities AND expect us to support, educate, provide healthcare and pay for them. People from poor countries think westerners and Europeans are all rich. In our societies we work extremely hard and sacrifice our entire lives to have a good future and healthcare if we need it. We pay a lot of tax to have safe cities and towns. When you dump thousands and millions of people into our countries we all sacrifice even more and cannot access housing, healthcare or social programs because they are overwhelmed helping illegals. That is not fair to citizens of any nation. The real difference would be teaching poorer war torn countries how to build fair societies. How to build an economy. How to develop a democracy. How to root out government corruption. How to be tolerant of other religions. How to take care of your own citizens!!

I am a senior developer from Brazil living in Berlin since 2022, I have lots of friends from other countries too and the most frequent complainings are about the inflation on living costs, mainly about how hard and expensive it is to get a decent place here. There is a feeling that people are not feeling that safe here too, but still safer than most of other countries around the world.\nAt the end, money talks louder. Isn't it already super restrictive and not easy to get into the country for the immigrants? Only highly educated, young people with rich parents are welcomed lol. They bring people from other countries, because there's not enough people to pay the taxes. The more taxes people pay the better educational and health system become, and overall societal infrastructure. Homeless people here most likely local drug addicts from poor areas of the city, immigrants are usually hard working and dedicated people. Because life is hard in Canada...poor pay, no jobs, having 3-4 jobs but still cant meet one's basic needs, can't afford housing/can't pay rent, living at food banks in order to get basic food to eat, too many coming to live on welfare.... All of this is cause major mental health issues.

Do you realize how.many Ontario license plates are in metro Detroit unchecked while others are kept out of Canada just for visiting. Everything changed years ago, and no one said anything. This is horrible for legit hard working men

It's not racist when it's all the different Canadians from different cultural backgrounds agreeing on this. We only have a few large cities in our country. There is no infrastructure or housing to support this. Most of the country is very harsh to live in during the winter. It's hard to drive anywhere. Prices are skyrocketing, and criminals are flooding the streets.

We can hardly get by with just canadians. Leaving borders open for huge immigration means,more taxes...there is no government money but for grabbing our pockets. No taxes, no money for prime M to use as he wishes

I’m not Muslim but I can understand some of these reasons why you’d want to leave Canada…Canadas not merely diverse anymore it’s diluted, money & bills culturalism is the real identity…it’s hard then ever to acquire personal wealth in the socialist nation. But wait a minute !!! 1 million immigrants in a country as big as China and you guys are complaining. The whole population of Canada fits in 1 or 2cbig tier 1 cities in China , so their cities hv to deal with 1 million migration on a regular basis and accomodate for those changes. Who would be against immigrants who obeyed immigration laws, followed every legal steps and waited patiently, then worked hard and honestly after they came, and became a decent and respectful citizen?
