It is not fair to the landlords renters those don’t pay rents for years. \nLandlords have to spend money to up keep the properties.\nNot that renters don’t pay they also sue landlords if something go wrong.. They should and must put theirs feet in landlords shoes and see how they feel.

Laws in Canada benefit the Criminals. You can commit fraud and stuff like this shown in the Video and get away with it. You can also commit more serious crimes like removing someone from this earth and the laws here will benefit these people as well. Take Nova Scotia for example, A person in my area took a life over 50 dollars, this person was than released 2 years later and was then involved in another crime which was taking a life. \n\nThis is the System in Canada.

Protectionist legislation to prevent foreign competition and protect the cartels means there won't be any substantive change under this government. Meanwhile the same government has increased the size of the bureaucracy by over 10,000 people in the last year alone while fewer and fewer actual services are competently delivered because the number of front line workers directly serving Canadians has shrunk. The longer the Junior regime is in power the worse the shock treatment will be.

It seems like there is a small percentage of really bad tenants AND also really bad landlords creating awful policies that ruin it for the large percentage of good tenants and good landlords. Every time I read the news there are horror stories from the point of view of renters BUT also horror stories from the point of view of landlords (like in this case). How can the whole system be so completely broken for both sides? It's crazy lol.

Toronto is already bursting at the seams with tens of thousands of refugees plus new immigrants arriving every year. I've never been conservative or anti-immigration, but the situation is getting out of control. Canada has always been a country of immigrants, but in my country, Poland, that hasn't traditionally been the case. We're also seeing an influx of people from developing countries, many of whom come under false pretenses, enroll in private universities, or attempt to cross our borders illegally to reach Germany. Right now, we're at a loss, and the most frustrating part is that while we need skilled immigrants, we're instead getting unskilled individuals who don't even make an effort to learn the language. This isn't sustainable.

I'm sorry to her about her sister. but you have a rental agreement with Mr Singh and should adhere to it or get out . and the other people should get out of that house also or keep paying your rent till you come to an agreement with the owner of the home in Brampton . the law has to change .

I got my PR in Canada in 2022, I went there and lived for 3 months and came back. I was better off in my home country than live in a rat race all my life in Canada freezing. Also I realise I was in Punjab instead of Toronto, wasn't expecting the quality of life which I was getting there.

This is criminal...two sides of the story here i can assume...but both sides are at fault...the tenant is a criminal and the landlord should have done more...put pressure on the landlord and tenants court...the landlord and tenants organization is a joke...no one takes them serious because they have a huge back load of court cases is not an excuse...the government wants more housing with out properly funding the courts and they are costing owners money 3 fold. It's a systematic virus...these figures these landlords quoted do not even include the damage the location has after the entitled criminal tenant leaves behind. Also this is not a mental heath issue, its just a plain purposely planned out criminal act. If they are criminally charged and convicted i am sure they will be comfortable in a 10 X 8 cell for 2 years with free rent, utilities and 3 square meals a day. Ford never takes in account possible issues that can arise he jumps into a project and never considers the side effects...maybe in heart he is a PC but he acts like a Liberal. They need the back log dealt with and a special team to police this industry.

Migration is not the problem. The problem is those military age men with those fancy degrees who are cowards and run away instead of building their country and make it strong, they rather get everything for free from Europe who also refuse to adapt to new culture and follow the law of the land and want Europeans to submit to them. Europe needs to send them to prison. Rather take good people who will benefit Europe with culture and knowledge.

The Canadian government subsidizes the wages of workers from India through a work-study arrangement. Most of the unskilled work in my small town (fast food and restaurants in particular) is taken by these students from India, while the teens and adults who have lived in the town their entire lives cannot get jobs because of it. My tax dollars are helping huge corporations pay wages of foreign workers, and my own child and MANY others were turned down for employment by these same companies. Not sure where these workers are living, because there is also a housing crisis in our area. Our immigration system is failing immigrants and Canadians alike.

And it appears that a lot of people are pretending to be refugees in order to move to a more affluent country also moving across several safe countries to get to their desired choice.

They passed through a country that by that countrys own accounts have a great booming economy and is a great to place to live(according to mexican government). I have only been in Canada for seven months now, but I noticed a few things about its economy that led to this mess. I noticed that Canada has no globalized companies, meaning the government only makes a little money from doing business with other nations. Businesses here are lazier than their neighbor, the USA, or even in my country, Vietnam, which could be due to a lack of competitors. Cad also has the biggest forest reserve and largest oil deposit but is the lowest exporter. So I wonder how on Earth it stays in the top 10 wealthiest countries with such lazy activities. Up to this point, foreigners are the biggest income of Canada; this country is truly built on immigrants. To keep the country running, it must attract more foreigners. Without int' students, how much do citizens have to pay to keep schools running? If you view it differently, the government also sells the PR through SV Visa because, let's be honest, if millions of investors have invested, there should be something or at least one globalized company, but there are none. From $75k to $200k, foreigners can buy PR for every family member. It is considered affordable for Asian families compared to the USA or Australia. On top of that, another scam is a carbon tax, which means the government needs to learn how to make money rather than invent taxes and sell dreams to foreigners.

It's very unlikely that Canadian news/mainstream media is going to report on the issue of people entering the USA from the Canadian side of the fence illegally. Our government also censors the hell out of our social media platforms and news can't be viewed on several of them. They won't want us to know. Take a few minutes to look into the number of censorship bills that got passed in recent years.

Immigration simply has a low quality control problem and governments are being too generous with immigrants over their actual citizens. Many other countries that do immigration also are suffering similar problems. The problem lies in the government and people with a saviour complex. It's time for people to learn to be realistic again otherwise the country will collapse under from even more problems.

Similar things happening in parts of Australia, high rents people being pushed out of suburbs where they use to live, Immigrants, uni students doing Uber or Doordash just to get by and finding careers they study for won’t exist or over saturated. I arrived in 2012 originally from Australia. I’m now a citizen and I learned a trade here too. I’m on a decent wage and I can’t keep up and can’t imagine I’ll ever own my own home here. We’re not against immigration but it needs to be slowed dramatically by about 90% for a few years. I’m being forced back to Australia to seek financial help from my family to hopefully purchase a property back there. The Canadian dream is dead and there’s also to many Indians here.

35 years ago, newcomers had to assimilate. Now, they show up and refuse to integrate. They just continue engaging in their own ethnic fiefdoms. This is offensive to Canadians. Also, young Canadian people cannot afford to start families. So, our communities are being destroyed in favour of newcomers.

Canada’s quality of immigrants has gone down drastically over the years. That is the truth. While the US has upheld their standard, Canada seems to have slacked in that. That is the problem. You need quality immigrants coming in who can integrate without having to assimilate. You can maintain your cultural identity but also integrate into Canadian society similar to how the US allows. Canada I hope you get your immigration policies back on track. Your American neighbors worry about you.

I got laid off 5 weeks ago ( no renewal of contract).. after 7 years working for that NFP.. I applied for snap and unemployment… while applying for jobs( social worker field)… first, they ask for so many documents… including my bank account….( again I was laid off .. not fired nor left my job, nor finding reasons not to work all those years ), department of labor had a mandated zoom meeting to discuss what I needed to do 4 weeks after I was laid off( like i don’t know)… I ve been working for years and paying taxes… a lot of them in NYC, I was also told that I have to show what I am doing to search for work and eventually should take a job( even if the salary is low..ridiculous)… I was also informed that I may get a call from investigator from DOL..they may call individuals receiving unemployment benefits($441 a week after taxes?)… to verified that I was searching and applying for jobs( even though I enter my activities related to work weekly on their website…..)….. meanwhile… people with 0 legal documentation are entering the US and living here, free snap, free housing, free health insurance!!!! Lala land!!!! Can’t wait for this non sense to stop!!! Every corner of NY , you see families begging for money. Food…I feel bad as a human being, but refuse to help or I ll be joining them too… welfare system needs to change too! The politics NEED to change!!!All the best !

Most people realize this has nothing to do with a persons race. Its population size. When you increase population size drastically it effects infrasture when government dont invest x amount of dollars into system. You have to plan. Look at our housing market. SUPPLY AND DEMAND ISSUES. When you increase population size and there's not enough homes to house people that only increases the costs. Whats going on is suicide to alot of people. Also media does not want to report why Liberal government has 4x increased immigration in a yr span compared to 1x. Also why is there racial preference for India? The amount of immigration coming in from India is much higher then other races. I'm curious about that.

I am for immigration as long as it well managed. I am also in favor of math, don't bring in immigrants if we do not have housing for the people already here. Liberal immigration policies and municipalities not allowing higher density housing has created this problem.

Maybe people should start looking at the military industrial complex Eisenhower mentioned at the end of his presidency. Causing wars all over the world and then everyone wants to come to the west. Maybe stop wars in other countries so they can develop. Also have countries invest in their own education systems so they don’t have to come to the west and change the concept that western countries is where you can make it. Also, those who do come have to integrate, however, if you come from a country where there isn’t plurality and coming to a democratic society, you’re eventually going to have problems.

Honestly as an Immigrant I was definitely lied to by the country of Canada, and tbh this concern is lined with racism to an extent, but there are some valid concern for the most part. \n\nCanadian universities came to me high school, one of the academically successful high schools on my island and tried to take every single high performing student. Honestly immigrantion is an issue for everyone, but it won’t stop until the bigger western countries stop making oppressive laws forcing people out of their country. \n\nThis is not the immigrants problem, Canada is the problem. Also I lived in Toronto, the biggest issue is NOT immigration, the issue is the fact that they are tearing down cultural institutions to build condos. condos are a bigger problem than immigrants. My heart goes out to my fellow Canadians, it also feels so heavy watching this because we see it on a daily basis & it eats you up so deeply. I honestly couldn’t watch this fully without constant tears flowing. I was born and raised here, my grandfather fought for this country & I have First Nation family members. Canada is not what it used to be, it’s beauty deserves respect.
