Great video, and 100% true. More than anything my frustration is with hiring and for some reason why people think we are completely dumb !! Having said that I will give it some more time as I have only been here for 4 years. For most of you coming for Europe this maybe a mediocre experience, coming from my country in the state it’s in Canada is still miles ahead. I just wish people were more upfront like you guys, great example for myself is the fact that I worked for a multinational which is fully operational in Canada, they have spent thousands of dollars on my training when I worked for them but their not even open to having a chat with me to hire for a job that was 2 levels below me when I was working in Asia. Anyway as you say “it is what is it” \n\nOn multiculturalism as much as they hire you for a diversity photo on the annual report they hate it, and I have travelled to many places in my life, the only place in Canada that I feel is proper Canada is Montreal.. I’ve worked with many different people in -30 outdoors and they were there on the job site because they deserved to be there. They were outside and -30. They didn’t complain or quit. They worked! So usually people that complain just have inabilities to be hard! \nNow if you’re applying for an office setting customer service industry or critical care type job and you can’t construct a sentence nor comprehend the language of that country you’re in that’s a bit of a problem wouldn’t you say. How about reverse discrimination? Certain immigrants that will only hire their own kind or only rent out their places to their own KIND? I am not white but I've witnessed whites being declined due to racial reasons. When my parents immigrated here, they learned to integrate with other cultures.

this has to be filmed more than a year ago. The labour shortage is huge with many companies including mine having a difficult time getting employees. I have hired quite a few immigrants through the university doing their MBA programs.

The income difference based on skin color is based on level of education and jobs chosen, NOT some skin color. This is why if you break down the income difference based on the countries of origin, black immigrants from countries with high education levels such as ones from Nigeria have a higher average income compared to the rest of the population, even though their skin is as dark as any black person. \n2. For me if you come to a small community college is not easy. Like this people who come straight with no background sometimes even small family own store may not even hire you. Nowsaday jobs in canada is need at least 6 month experience or a certification that you actually did some hands on activity completed in the course. I also agree with some comments research before you come here. Many Indian student are so eager to get a job but without at least a 6 months experience need not easy. That is why sometimes I see many student suffer but in my opinion you have to know why you come here in the first place.

One more thing must be mentioned: how international students are exploited by Indian community who came here 20..30 years back itself, these people torture students while living in basements, rented rooms in their houses.\nSecondly, these people hire students at work (mostly factories, warehouses and Indian restaurants) and pay them half the minimum wage, exploiting and stressing them.

Lets not make fuzz out of nothing. India has world best education institutions thats why so many multicultural companies hire graduates from india every year. I studied in Canada, but I disappointed by the racism in the professional world especially the well paying government jobs…it was like a syndicate where Chinese will push for a Chinese to be hired, whites do the same, Indians do the same…the rest of the other races like blacks, Iranians, Arabs etc you have to literally have to fight your way into the system…you have to prove and kiss peoples feet to get hired….I just packed my bags and left Canada..

In US, restaurant workers often don't purchase enough health care insurance. They are reluctant to visit doctors due to high deductible and copayment. Restaurants hire part-time workers so they don't have to contribute towards their health care insurance premiums. In Canada, you are insured regardless of your employment status.

I would like to laugh 7 minutes in to the video. U.S. current political and education system is attempting to push more tax to be Canada. Our Universities keep talking about Trickke Down Economics as a negative to their students. Trickle Down economics worked. Most societies unless you live in the bush will continue to be unequal because some people take advantage of opportunity while others stay where they are at in life. Who’s problem is that? We will always have an unequal distribution of wealth. Some people are smart and will live a comfortable life financially I feel we should hire University Professors based on if they can run a successful business or not. All Canada not only Vancouver it’s very isolated.\nPeople can’t afford to buy a house because the house marketing is 3 times the price compared to USA. The houses have shitty materials compared to my original country, and you simply can’t built by your own and that’s why every price rises.\nAnother issue you didn’t mention it’s there is no scholarships, it’s incredible expensive to get a proper education like university, and even so, they no offered scholarships. In Mexico almost everyone can reach the opportunity to study to be anything (lawyers, doctors) AND there is why you can get professional services everywhere. Here in Canada the business never have profesional services (like a real Human Resources, who studies for 5 years to be the best influence in a company, or a real engineering taking care of the machines in a plant. Canada only hire the cheap hand to avoid paying and I can understand it, but if more people could study more money moves in the country.\nAnother issue is there is not any public transportation into the cities or provinces, so if you don’t have a car, a driver license (it’s not easy to get one) and pay the super expensive insurance (it’s incredible 10 times more expensive than in Mexico) your can’t move from the place you are. Because of the weather you simply can’t move in a bike.\nPeople live just for pay rent, buy some groceries and buy some pre owned cloths in the thrift store.\nAnother problem it’s many rules to open a small bussines (like selling some food) \nHealth care it’s not exactly free: you need to pay for your prescriptions out of the hospital or if you never been hospitalized. And it’s very expensive to pay for them. She's switching companies soon since she found an even better opportunity elsewhere and is already making steps getting me on the team. She starts the hiring process in August.\n\nShe said I should fix a holiday visa and that if the company is still happy with me after 12 months they would most likely sponsor my stay. So yeah, everything seemed pretty solid!\n\nBut now that I'm watching this video I'm getting scared that I might be missing something that wouldn't allow me to work there. With better living standards, people prefer to value personal space more. In a developing country, people needs eachother because they cannot afford to buy everything that they need or want. For example, a poor family would keep their kids with their neighbours or relatives, instead of leaving them at a creche or hiring a babysitter. Besides, developing countries have less occupational and recreational opportunities too. When Africa would become developed, maybe that too will become like Canada.

Sir I have shifted to UK ..around 5 months ago...I spent around 12 years in Saudi arabia before.\nThe main difference between our country and this country is the PEOPLE.\nIts not the prices..the money etc that makes you feel better. I was earning good in saudia as well but here...its the people..that make you feel better.\nWe booked a hotel here for quarantine and the Pakistani agent who paid for us by a credit card used a fake card number or what. We received a letter from the govt about 2285 pounds due to be paid. Of course thats alot of money for new comers...and as you said there was no payment plan or anything discussed in the letter.I called them back and the first thing they asked me was Are you alright right now? Do you need anything from us? And that was...an experience I never had before in my life. Then they discussed the way outs for the dues.\nSame goes for the jobs..the positions..the hiring...not the SAUDI/AJNABI shit going on at all ! Or the bribes we have to pay in Pakistan to get a basic job !\nThe difference in HUMANITY is big sir...among our countries and these. This is just un doable now. Because the people of Pakistan...alot of them..many in my own family...are still fighting over people like Imran Khan.
