Last week I called a cab to go for my appointments in town and a private car shows up in my drive way with an East Indian driver newly arruved from India? when I ask him what he need he said he is a Cab I called, I said no you are not this is a private car he said he just applied for license and Cab's Name, I told him then you cannot work and pick up costumer yet and this is Canada you need to follow our laws then he left after? but I take a picture his Car and license plate and call a Cop after.

That’s excellent hopefully Canada will become Canadian again. As a Punjabi, I’m absolutely disgusted with these new international students. They came here on pretence most of them didn’t even pass the English test they cheated and scammed to get here. They’re not attending colleges and working full-time taking jobs away from Canadian born students, including my own son who applied for over 100 jobs and got nothing. So there's been an increase on Indian vs Indian crime. As a Canadian child (early 1970's) I collected money with my candy on Halloween for people in Bangladesh. We have food banks and shelters and assistance programs for those suffering misfortune and our society WAS designed around public sharable services and programs. When I was a teen, a Guianese immigrant co-worker told me Canadians are stupid for providing handouts to immigrants and he laughed at me for buying his house with my taxes. In recent years there has been an influx of new residents whose focus is how they can take advantage, what they can get for free and those who try to cheat the system and cheat others. The scams and cheating that sends thousands of Indian students to Canada for an education at a school that cant take them is the same kind of scams starting here. The fraudulent proofs of income banks were receiving for house purchases has resulted in an artificially inflated housing market. I just bought a house and my Canadian born Indian neighbors literally gated and locked me out of $6000 of my land, while we were on good terms, because the felt like it. We were a society built on honor, trust and respect and while I wouldn't say its all the fault of Indians, there are by no means a small percentage and its getting worse.

The politicians from Canada and India don't care if everyone lives in poverty. And getting Canadian citizenship will not solve all your families' problems. Once Canada goes broke there will be no welfare, EI, pensions, free housing, or healthcare so you're better off staying in India where at least you know the language, laws, religion and culture. Why canada taking workers from outside because skilled workforce are not sufficient to run the businesses at canada. In between May 2024 to Dec 24 nearly 536505 work permits are set to expire who were invited to work under INTERNATIONAL MOBILITY PROGRAM. 70000 temporary permits of students also expired . If government is strict and the businesses of Canada not required these workforces then why they are not deported from canada. Only in sept 24 ,86000 work permits under international mobility program will be expired . After complaint of businesses of pnp provinces expired work permits are now going to be extended. To control emigration government should act strictly. Easy pr for Asylum seekers and refugess are the reasons for this crisis at canada.

Perhaps instead of taking foreign students, Universities can open overseas branches in countries where the students typically come from and periodically fly Canadian teaching staff over to teach them? This way the students won't have to come to physically come to Canada yet the University would still be collecting tuition from them.

Government should not have allowed to bring spouses and their children to Canada while they are on foreign students visa. No other countries allowed this. This created a crisis in rental industry. They started draining our resources such as rental, school, healthcare…etc. no student should be allowed to work in any of the industries. They are taking away Canadian citizens jobs. In last 2 years I have spoken with many Canadian students and they are unable to find summer employment. This has to be stopped. Wake up Canadian politicians and government.

As a Chinese immigrant, I have to say that Canada needs to evaluate the quality of new immigrants. For the past 20years, large amount of Chinese immigrated to Canada, 50% of them are wealthy, and brought millions billions of dollars to Canada, especially a lot of rich students who are willing to consume and pay taxes. The other 50% are not that wealthy, but they are working hard while not breaking the rules. Most importantly, they don’t take shit on the beach, and they are afraid to break laws!

I don't like the idea of sending back anyone who is here, working daily, following Canadian laws, and paying into the tax system.. these are productive people.\nHowever, the intake stream needs to be cut back. We failed to build the infrastructure to support a larger population. So until infrastructure (housing, roads, police, fire, medical, electrical, sewage, etc..) is built out to accommodate 41 million people properly, we can't take in more.\n\nThis failure is entirely government created. My story is similar to yours Alina, moved to Canada at 15 y.o., lived there for 20 yrs and now moved away. It's been hard, Canada has been the place I'd call home and thinking that I may never come back to live there is a little heart wrenching. Looking forward to learning what place you picked for yourself. From my experience, it will not be easy whatever place you pick. The social connections, daily life, it will all take a long time to set up. One thing that helps is keeping in touch with the most important people in your life - whereever they may be.

I made a concentrated effort to assimilate into the American culture as quickly as possible and become a productive part of the American culture and it's traditions.
