I have been in US for 20 years and can understand the experience that you are sharing. Frankly, countries like US and Canada are not for people who can’t do some basic things on their own. \nPeople leave their families and comfort of their home and come to these countries either to earn money, eventually have a good quality life or to provide a good quality education for their kids. If you don’t have a reason good enough to make that move and keep the option of running back home on facing little hardship then there is no way you can live in these countries. Forget about going and living in other countries you can’t even go and live in another state within India. Do you think it’s easy for a North Indian to go and live in South (or vice versa) where they encounter language and culture barriers? \nYou were in much much better situation as you already had PR and didn’t have to go through stress of handling uncertainty on your visa situation based on job.\nTrust me it takes few years for you to get adjusted to new environment, culture, people, food etc. But, as you spend more and more time in these countries you get more accustomed to way of living here and then you become so comfortable with it that you don’t want to go back at all.\nDon’t want to judge anyone but I guess in your case at your age with family already settled in India you didn’t have a solid enough reason to get out of your comfort zone and give time to get used to such big transition in your life

I want to live in a little in a diverse community. My neighborhood in Scarborough is 90% Indian or Middle Eastern. When you have so many people of one ethnic group they do not assimilate but form a mini ghetto town They were telling us what to wear and what to learn. Secondly, Canada is full of vagrancy. I m an Indian Christian, born and raised in Malaysia. My homeland. We are a nation of different cultures. Malay, Chinese and Indian. These are the 3 Major race but we are called Muslim country. We live in peace and harmony. Everyone has their rights to believe in their faith and live peacefully together here. Inflation is bad here too but still affordable. For expats, If you want to migrate to Malaysia, make sure you get high wages in USD and a company that will renew ur contract. You can't be citizen but you can apply for PR.. but the process is not that easy. Some of my friends who are expats still live here after 15 years without a PR. Our country is small so it's not easy to get it. Your children can get into International schools or home schools WITH UK IGCSE SYLABUS TOO... its just pricy a little. Other than that, Malaysia is a beautiful Tropical country with beautiful and friendly people to live with. Malaysia truly Asia. ❤

I live in America for almost 30 years now and I still don't feel settled or call this home. Kids don't want to go back and my connections with Indian-relatives is pretty much cut off, but still I long to go back ... may be one day!

Before moving please make sure what you would be doing in a new country for living? Will you be able to manage until you pickup your earnings. You have kids!! will you be able to pay for their educations, house rents, medicine if necessary etc. so on and so forth..\n\nBut one thing i wanted to check many Indians are moving to Canada for a better life, i''m little surprised to see you moving out of Canada, why don't you guys try jobs in IT companies? I agree with many points you have made in this video but, I want to point out one thing about Canadians (and most western cultures)- they have an egalitarian view of society and are much less selfish as compared to Indians. Take that instance you mentioned about that Canadian woman who was waiting with her child in the emergency ward - unlike Indians she knew that there was another person whose situation was more dire than that of her child so she willingly waited for her child's turn to be looked at by the emergency doctor. But, in the case of Indians they will not have the grace to wait quietly for their turn.

That's not true. Plenty of Indian immigrants want to reside in Canada.

I really dislike Canada now because it is so segregated and overly progressive. A large portion of Chinese and Indians are not a fabric of society and are outsiders in their own ethnic enclaves. I already left, and so are many fellow Canadians like me. If you want immigration you need a cood down period so that these immigrants learn to adapt to the culture first rather than allowing these communities to become the new Canada.

I would like to ask 1 question. When I see lots of videos about people leaving Canada and all. Why is that South Asians especially Indians, Pakistanis and Bangladeshis are so desperate to go Canada when majority of the people living in Canada are fed up of living there and want to move out.

(Like a lot of families move from gulf countries to their south asian countries for college,having personally experienced as well as my cousins who lived in Jeddah and loads of other relatives)\n1. So pls look for muslim countries that offer good education otherwise you will have to send them again to UK USA Canada for good college.\n2. Abu Dhabi can be a option as well\n3. Saudi Arabia\n4.Qatar\n5. Turkey\n6. Schooling works differently in gulf countries, for example you have Indian schools that run on the CBSE pattern of India, Pakistani schools, Sri Lankan schools, International School with a British curriculum, International schools with American style curriculum, proper Native schools of that country that teach in Arabic.( Again this my experience in Oman, my cousins in Jeddah went to Indian school of Jeddah, so pls wisely choose the school that you want your children to attend)\n\n(this comment is just an opinion, hope it helps. Hai..i think all of your worries will easily disappear if u come n move to Malaysia??.. first of all we don't have winter season as u wanted.. secondly we are multi culture country with many races n ethnique people lives together like malay+Chinese+indian etc lives in harmony n respect of each other beliefs n background..Malaysian are friendly people n humble..also the easiest country to access halal food everywhere because 60% or more of the population is Muslim..so u can also practice Islamic education here .. n importantly even though we are multi cultures we still can practice our religion peacefully n respectfully..in fact we had our mosques, temple n churches besides each other..n when comes to celebrate holidays, we celebrate Ramadan, Eid, Christmas,thaipusam, deepavali or other celebration together respectfully regardless of our races.. Malaysia also a tropical country so u can enjoy modern city n nature together just in one country.. n lastly I think economically u guys can afford to living or retired here considering dollar are more higher than ringgit Malaysia..so financially I think its everything affordable here ..

Any Indian who wants to live in the US must be crazy. Everything is expensive here and we have a high crime rate. It's not worth coming here at all

My family moved 22 years ago from Mumbai to Toronto…while the struggles said on your channel are real, there are also perks which I feel like you didn’t get to experience. If people have good jobs, stable family life then DON’T move…culture shock is huge that people moving from India don’t consider, just by wearing and eating western food doesn’t make you western! \nThere are sacrifices to be expected which you don’t realized as your great grandparents or grandparents might have made when they started out! \nMoving to another country is never easy, unless you’re loaded with $$$. People in India are lazy as they have people working for them and don’t realize how difficult it is living outside of that lifestyle (not everyone in India can afford housekeepers, cleaners). Being independent and doing things on your own has its own positive (just need to figure it out). \n\nI have worked in healthcare for 16 years and let me tell you…social system works better as everyone gets the health service without being judged about $$. Healthcare is based on priority around the world but people don’t understand this as they feel like their problem should be attended first no matter what! \nNot all drugs are legal in Canada, marijuana is legal though with acceptable limits…you probably were misinformed about drugs! Teach your kids about right /wrong when it comes to drugs, smoking, alcohol and that’s the best you can do! I know people who live in India and do all that which you mentioned you were worried about for your kids. \n\nWhat you experienced was a classic case of culture shock and your expectations didn’t match the reality! Moving away from family, changing lifestyle and being responsible adult (doing things on your own rather than relying on workers) is difficult but doesn’t make the country bad that have you an opportunity to settle! Don’t take things for granted even while you live in India…appreciate the effort that goes into everything- keeping roads clean, people working hard, etc. \n\nBest advice I can give to those considering moving to any foreign country is: Keep an open mind, be ready to work hard and visit the country you want to move to before you make the grave decision of uprooting everything! Things usually turn around and get better after 5 years mark- focus on upgrading your education if you have a basic degree from India (even you know how competitive things are in India, so how can western world not be!)\n\nBeing vegetarian- things are tough when it comes to food but living in Toronto has never been an issue. Even people living in India avoid outside food due to hygiene reason which is not a problem in Canada as food inspection is pretty strict (having worked with ministry of health). \nCities like Toronto, Vancouver, Montreal, etc has variety of food options (including veg)…just have to be really open to trying other cultural food (Asian, Mediterranean, Italian,Mexican, etc). My parents are strict vegetarians and have never truly struggled when they are out. \n\nCost of living is definitely higher as the standard living is higher compared to India. Education (until grade 12) and healthcare are free (in reality, you pay tax for it), you get pension when you retire (based on your contributions and type of jobs you had)…you failed to navigate the system and I will say having family around is why you didn’t take opportunity to explore and learn on your own. \n\nPlease don’t come to Canada and make life difficult for other Indians who choose to willingly accept the culture and lifestyle here after going through this hardship- cost of living and housing has gone up dramatically in major cities because of immigration influx! If you’re serious about moving and putting up, only then move! Otherwise all the best for your future endeavours!

Indians like myself have opted out of working at Canada because \n1) It is costly to live here\n2) Canada harbours and provides safe haven to Pakistani and Khalistani terrorists that are a threat to Indians, specially Hindus living there. Their presence is a net negative for any society that wants to live peacefully (Not just for Indians/Hindus). \n3) Healthcare, house help services,real estate are really easy to avail in India. So you're at peace even with lesser pay and can focus your time on doing other things or simply relax.\n\nOne of the kids from our family this year avoided going to Canada for his masters only due to these reasons. Especially the second reason.

I criticized the genocide of my Sikh brothers, sisters and children in riots in Delhi in 1984. That incident is the one that led few sikhs but not all to ask for a separate nation that should be named Khalistan and I want the media to not to call those sikhs “extremists”in foreign countries, we can call them Sikhs asking for separate country, they can not be called “Khalistanis” either because Khalistan doesn’t exist. Also, sikhs and Hindus always got along well. In all India, there are sikhs living everywhere just like Hindus. There was never a conflict or dispute between them. I grew up in a society where my neighbors are all mixed Hindus and Punjabis. As much as Sikhs visit Hindu Temples same goes for Hindus visiting Gurudawaras. How about our film industry, there are so many sikh Punjabis like the Kapoors, the Malhotras, they don’t want to leave India also. I don’t want to my Indian sikhs to make a separate nation. I want the Indian police not to discriminate against certain religion and not be biased. If a Hindu policeman saves a Hindu criminal and wrongfully and falsely put a non Hindu person in jail then it’s purely wrong and discriminatory and same thing goes for a Sikh policeman. How about our soldiers, majority of our soldiers are Hindus and Sikhs, they are protecting India and it’s citizens. I want people of all religions and backgrounds in India to live peacefully and get along.

In the end it all depends on both the kids AND the parents. If they genuinely bring the parents over for the parents own sake its WONDERFUL, BUT....the truth is, that the cost of living in these countries is so high AND, the kids want to attain and maintain a certain standard of living, that BOTH husband and wife NEEDS to go out to work..and what happens is that they end up USING the parents only for babysitting, cooking cleaning etc.... AND for their PENSIONS.... But they're given no respect. So its up to the parents also. BCZZ they're SO vital to the survival of the family unit...they have that power to stand up for themselves and get the respect they deserve. But the thing is, indian parents are martyrs.....they will suffer AND complain...but they will never abandon their kids and let them suffer....so that cycle of misery and disrespect never breaks.... and the situation never changes. The best thing is for the parents to get that pension and go back home every six mths, and at least enjoy some of their life. Sad but true.???

If you move away from your home country, it takes half the time of your actual age to understand, & get used to the country you move into. \n1) Ikea also offers assembly service for which you have to pay. \n2) home owner/landlord didn’t improve noise isolation issue of their floorings. It’s normal practice of most lazy landlords who only rents their basement for reducing their mortgage cost. Or probably didn’t even know that it is doable.\n3) Employment- I am glad to see you found a skilled workplace somewhat related to your career. If you had to go through odd jobs, you would have left Canada within a month. \n4) Hospitals- Indian Government hospitals works the same way. Priorities go to life threatening patients first. But as an ex-Indian, we love spending arms and legs of money. Our loved ones survive going in private hospitals without insurance. \n5) socializing & jokes- I think you should’ve moved to Brampton so you can be part of the ghettoized community we have created there. so what day by day their crime rates are going high, we can at least understand the joke we can laugh on there. And there is no home sickness feeling.\n6) Weed!! - India has legalized alcohol, tobacco consumption. It does not mean anyone can go buy this. Even to buy legal weed in Canada you have to show your ID. At least that process is followed properly here.\n7) Vegetarian- if you want to follow a diet like this, all you have to request the restaurant to swap the meat with either potato hashbrowns, or if they have soya bean patties. \n8) Struggle- struggle is part of life. There is no requirement of whining about it. what has been shared in this video is nothing that people are not aware of. Everybody knows that you have to do all the work yourself,no maids, cooks, etc. like India.These facts have been there for years, nothing new about them. If people want to got there for further education, it is different, but then Canada is not all that good as far as higher education is concerned, there are better countries to choose from with better weather conditions and better lifestyle and high class education. Who would want to live in a cold and inhospitable country, payig through your nose. Here in India, if we fall sick even with just cough / cold, we can go to the nearest doctor and get medicines, sometimes we can even just ask the pharmaists to help us to choose some medicines for pharmasist here are half doctors.\nEven our standard of living has become so good, that we don't even feel like shifting to a new country. We have metros, good buses both AC as well as non AC, good trains, good resturaunts, hotels, what is it that we don't have here?\nIt is always better living as a first class citizen in our own country, than living like second class citizen elsewhere. The attraction and the charm of living abroad is no longer there.\nOur country has improved so much and so fast in the last 10 years, we have good bathrooms in schools and other public places, which was not there previously. Only drawback in our country is the traffic and infrastructure, which will also become better, but will take time, because of our country's population.\nIn fact you will find servants and watchmen all coming to work in a bikes or scooters, which was unthinkable some years back. Their life has changed for the better, they live in rented flats/or on lease, their children study in good schools and so on, and they dress also so well, that you cannot differentiate between them and the people they work for.\nMany of the so called advanced countries do not have many well educated people like our country, the children there are not as knowledgeabe like Indian kids, their knowledge is limited to the town they live in, they don't know anything about the world outside.\nAnd now with the Khalistani terrorist living freely there it is all the more dangerous. I'm not Indian, I'm indigenous from Canada and I grew up in Vancouver, where the population is mostly from Asia. Being surrounded by people of asian descent is very normal for me. I don't expect anyone to assimilate and lose their culture to exist here. I knew we had a large population of Sikhs here but I didn't think it was nearly as many as in India... and now I find out there are more sikhs here than in India. Amazing. I also didn't know we had so many Sikhs in parliament, let alone Indians. My school is mostly Indian and everyone I talk to has come from Punjab. Everyone seems to love it here, and the school is in the middle of little Punjab so I've been told by my classmates it is the perfect place for the students who are homesick because they are surrounded by their community. I rarely hear English when I walk down the halls, there is even a course to learn to speak Punjabi, which I want to take so I can talk to the students who don't speak English as well. We have many large gurdwaras, and one near me I've eaten langar almost everyday for the past 10 years. Most people here know Sikhs to be very generous and humble. It was a shock to me when I heard the president of Guru Nanak Gurdwara was shot, because I believed Sikhs to be very kind and peaceful, and the gurdwara has a very good reputation as they take lots of food into Vancouver and feed the homeless. They even opened a kitchen in the DTES during the pandemic to be able to have food available to the people immediately. No one else did anything like that. They delivered a lot of food. Now they have an auxiliary kitchen in the DTES permanently that serves free meals. I thought more news would come out of the shooting but it seemed quiet for a bit until Trudeau accused the Indian government of the attack. This news also shocked me, so I decided to start looking into it slowly. I couldn't really get a good idea of what was going on until I searched a video for Diwali and your videos came up. Mom, maybe you saw private college but if you want to see good college, like conestoga, Humber, Guelph campus, doon velly camps, or more others. College and universities are really vast and beautiful. \nAnd if i talk about vegetarian food, its hard to find options. \nHealth treatments, but you can find vegetarian food at indian restaurants.\nThere is health care system slow, but we have options that where should be go. For some reason the immigration policy favours Indians from India. 90% of the people favoured now for immigration into Canada are Indians and secondly Latinos from Mexico or some other Latin American country. So many West Africans in Toronto are working with InstaCard, Door Dash and doing Uber and Lyft. It is called the GIG economy. You are not in a stable job. The living standard is high in Canada, meaning even the poorest has access to a quality life through the Social Services govt system. Maybe you think that is living the good life equivalent or on par with a person of European ancestry who is at least 3rd generation Canadian and in over 75% of the cases have had a transference of Generational wealth.

Have visited many countries for on-site business work, including Canada but India is good despite all the chaos, espcially South India. Started my career in infosys Chandigarh, then Gurgaon then Bangalore. My parents also might move in with me next year and Im also planning to start my own Food eatery. Over 95% Sikhs are just like me and patriotic and Love India, but yes there are issues in Punjab which need to be addressed...\nBut a large portion of the blame sadly goes to Sikh politicians. I want to tell the youth that Khalistan is a waste of time and politicians in Punjab, especially sikh politicians are completely bullshit. They are corrupt and have no vision and rely on rural votes which is sikh majority and Jazbaati over every issue and largely into farming. It’s very boring conversations,once you are in Rome live as Romans do. You have to give some thing to get.The thing is this that Indians has to much time,see temples,demos,gatherings,festivals etc.they waste their time while in western countries time is money. Indians are not habitual of such life they want that work should be done by others \nCheap Labour so you Pay and get every helpful in west it’s not possible.
