This is what happens when these phonies, these left of left posers, are allowed to perpetuate misconceptions and feel-good phrases unchecked. Suddenly when the leftist posers look around and see that their neighborhood, their surrounding community , and the places they shop live and play are be coming home to these immigrants, they suddenly realize that they better make some excuses to explain why their mouths wrote checks that asses cannot cash.

The thing is, Mexico is not in conflict for its people to seek asylum somewhere else. It is not good to just jump ship to any country and fight whoever so that you stay there. You struggled. You spent so much money on lawyers, when immigration laws don't approve of anyone going into US illegally and then file asylum. Sorry but the immigration lawyers just took your money and pretend to help you and that there are solutions. If a US citizen jumps ship to your country, would you declare that his presence there is illegal? US, Canada or any country wouldn't want that. It's like jumping on one's lawn, make house and wouldn't want to leave. That's how it is.

I really feel for Jose, but the reality is that he should have learned English and tried to get legal status to eventually get Naturalized. He also fell victim to those immigration lawyers that steal from good, hardworking people like Jose. If he didn’t want to go back to El Salvador, he should at least request asylum in Mexico until he can come legally to the U.S. like everyone else.

The problem is the government didn't know how to make enough money in the country...... That's why they want more other people to do investment or have business in Canada in order to bring more money into the country. The fact is the social welfare is too good that government might not be able to afford that big spending. First, Government needs to know how to make money on their own, not depending rich immigrants. Second, encourage citizens to have baby by providing benefits for them, to boost the birth rate. Third, stop being so nice to refugee, stop importing refugee! The biggest problem of refugee is they don't make money to the country, they rely on social welfare heavily.

lazy is a good word! I know what my brother went through in order to immigrate to Australia many years ago. You have to have a clear record, no criminal convictions, paid all your taxes, qualified with the correct credentials they required, eg. IT expert, mechanics, Doctors etc., have sufficient money to live for 6 months, and or a job waiting for you, and sufficient savings. His family ahd to wait 6 months to join him whilst he established a home and job. Possibly these are people either hoping for welfare and freebies, or running from the law? Im not saying all, but someone is promising more than a Country can deliver!

Often immigrants come here with family and we don’t have much money saved so can’t afford to go back to school so construction is a good way to go, I came almost 4 yrs ago and i started with a steel and stud company starting with 20/hr now from the last two yrs working as a Plant Operator with INLAND CONCRETE making 34/hr with union... Many if not all of Canada's cities have now become heavily populated with immigrant and refugees alike. Diversity can be a good thing for many cities but when such large numbers appear in such a short amount of time this can cause major problems.

I’m a an American that is strongly against illegal immigrants but I think this type of man is not the one I want out. Liberals assume we hate them and are racist but we’re not. I’m not Canadian, so I don’t have as much of an understanding of their process; however, much like in the U.S., you have to have a legitimate and compelling reason to seek asylum, for example, those escaping a literal war in Syria where death was imminent. Not that I don’t have compassion for this man wanting to better his life and that of his family, but seeking asylum from El Salvador because they have a lackluster economy, crime and violence (while a good enough reason to relocate elsewhere) isn’t a case for asylum. *shrug* Asylum is meant for exigencies, emergencies, imminent danger, which doesn’t look like it applies here. My guess is this man thought seeking asylum would be a way to go around needing expensive documents to do a standard immigration and the process flopped on him.

i WELCOME all legal immigrants, those who played by the rules and respected the laws of the country they are in, who did not obtain fake identification papers illegally. People who do things LEGALLY are likely to make good citizens, people adept at circumventing the laws, not so much.

This is a sad story, hoping it ends well. I live in Canada and if I would be working for immigration, I would all bring them to my home. This is such a good family, with a dedicated hard working father.

Well, I am not going to generalize all people in the same category. There are good and bad people everywhere in the world but being first generation immigrant in Canada is really hard in every part of life. First, even you are fluent in English you will have an accent that makes big difference in your job hunting, making friends and get along with different people. Many times, I have been treated on the basis of how I look and on the basis of my accent.

He's not an immigrant he's an illegal alien there is a big difference. I don't want him in my country and I doubt the USA wants him either and for good reason. You cannot just pick and choose the laws you wanna follow and walk over the boarder and cheat the system.
