I can tell your guys are Canadians and you know nothing about the US system. If you don’t have a lot of money, we have Pell Grant for students, medicaid/medicare,…You will pay nothing. Your points mean nothing if you don’t have a good job in Canada

They should stay from their respective countries. USA is already full of migrants , their natives . If they insist to reside in US they could no longer feed them or else the consequences is not good. And if you raise your family only two children is enough in order for them to have a good education and for their betterment.

Open a business and get taxed to death and pay crazy rent...so open in a small town till they view incomes of small town folk via their tax submissions,,,,once they see that small businesses are making money and town folk have good incomes ...the pavement is laid for walmart to come in and crush all small businesses....then they want us to start businesses...ya right.....

Not that many people in the developed world are shopping for an alternative country. So I imagine most Americans and most Canadians will be content with their nation of birth. But as a Canadian, I have to admit I'm a bit scared of the US. The level of violent crime down there is such that _many_ (not all) people feel they need guns for personal security. American prison rates testify to a level of desperation and alienation that is _not_ appealing to me. I don't want to live somewhere where owning a deadly weapon seems like a sensible idea! Also, as a struggling creative/entertainment person, I can't guarantee I'll be consistently earning good money – there are plenty of lean times in my biz. I don't want to be repeatedly worrying about my health coverage disappearing, whenever work dries up. I've never had that type of anxiety in Canada, and I sure appreciate that. Btw, although the Canadian health system is a long way from perfect, I've always managed to get appropriate care, according to my needs, quickly enough, at no cost to myself. And currently, I really like my GP _and_ my specialists!

I am descendant of Latinos, and I do not agree with this administration has caused. I met someone in a Walmart parking lot from Venezuela. He had been here in Atlanta for 10 days and didn’t know anyone. He told me he came to the US because Biden promised all Venezuelans asylum and therefore be legalized in the US. So I genuinely asked him how his country was, and he said that things were very difficult; not being able to afford basic things, so then I said “well, I’m sure that is the result of the presidents decisions, most precisely socialism/communism,” I thought he was going to agree and he said “no, our president and former president had good ideas and plans.” My point is that all of these people coming from Venezuelan are fleeing their country because of the negative situation that sadly is taking place in their country, however their mindsets have been corrupted by thinking they deserve to have “free” things. All of these ppl will be legalized and they will be able to vote very soon, so these ppl will vote democrat because they were given this opportunity by Biden. This is a very demonic man by the left, and sadly this will cause a lot negative results to the US. It’s too late to revert this, soon we will see the negative consequences of what this administration is causing to this country ?

Such a slap in the face to homeless people who were born, worked in, and lived in America all their life. Where is their “free ticket” to housing and resources? America makes it hard for their own; especially Blacks, to survive. Always some kind of impossible agreement they want you to agree with to obtain help. As a Black American, homeless and disabled; worked low wage jobs here in America over 30 years; was blocked from receiving my full lump sum disability because they knew it would have been enough to buy myself a home; Have been homeless over a year now and can’t agree to America’s rules for fair housing because their rules aren’t fair for Black Americans altogether. America have set Blacks against Blacks; put them in positions to turn other Blacks away from houses and resources; but all they care about is their job. They know their job requires the impossible for many Blacks to agree to, but they easily and intentionally overlook it. How can I agree to volunteer or work if I’m disabled? I applied for disability because I can no longer work. And…It took forever for me to get that. My long, steady work history will prove that I’m not lazy which is used as their excuse for not helping Blacks. America will bend over backwards to help foreigners while we sleep on the streets. That’s the reason why they went out on a limb to employ people from different countries. They called it diversity when they clearly knew it was racism. They had rather employed foreigners to keep Blacks from progressing. America is reaping its seeds right now. Say good bye to America because it’s about to become a new foreign country to all Americans. You reap the seeds you sow. You must be fair to your own first, but you disclaim your own. ❤ And by the way;…..Reparations to Black Americans may be a good start in the eyesight of God who have watched how you treated us for so very long. Nobody in America should be homeless regardless. When God says enough; wickedness and injustices must stop. Not tomorrow but right now! McDonalds something most American people know …for one person only it can be around 15 - 20 bucks, in Venezuela, and I think minimum wage rn is around 6.15 bucks and if it’s good it can be around 20 - 30 A MONTH, now apply this formula to EVERYTHING, housing, bills, expenses and I think things in Venezuela for a little bit better not that long ago,so it was worst than what I just told you, imagine you finish college you have somehow of a decent life and for things you don’t understand and no one advise you of, next week your job, money is not even half of the value it had last week, imagine if it was you and your family, your kids…I don’t have kids but I know my mom would’ve done anything for trying and give me not even a luxurious life, but a kinda decent life, and I know most of people would’ve done the same, and not only for your kids, also your mom, dad, sisters, brothers and even YOURSELF…again, I’m not saying this is correct or it’s not I’m just saying at the end our surrounding make us do whatever we are doing….I get you not being okay with this, but try to be comprensible and not go straight into hate for this people. \n\nUnfortunately I wouldn’t imagine anything to solve this problem and I hope something better comes for the entire world right now …but I just doubt it…

Unfortunately we can thank Biden for this! When most of us can't even find affordable housing I wonder where all of these people are actually going to sleep? And here i am, in the middle of eastern europe, studied hard, saved up every penny i could, even learned to code , found a good coding job, full remote these days, im in spain now, the beach is in my view.. i managed to do all of those things in the past decade, and still i was rejected by the us embrassy every single year, that makes a total of 11 times so far, not a word as to why, just rejected.. tbh i no longer want to move to the states.. i started begging you guys at 18, im 29 now.. i could’ve invested my talents and work in the us, while paying taxes there, instead i work for a us company in a very cheap part of the world while paying a small fraction of taxes to my home country.. keep letting those guys in and avoid us.. soon enough you wont have anyone defending you from the issue’s because the people that make good money and pay high taxes are leaving to make space for the homeless shelters and to avoid being stolen from by the mob

Stay a distance from what America wants. Losing character of its own country will lose the benefit of its foreign relationship with others. Make good decision for business, import and export with others. We have no additional saving to play world politics game. Make your own ways to exchange business developments and ideas. I live in Calgary, Alberta 3 hours from Edmonton and what she is saying been a fact. WS especially feel slighted with the heavy immigration yearly as if they are being pushed out or replaced. I mostly do gig work so I don't have to deal with job market as is. They have alot of immigrants with 1 or 2 degrees working security, house cleaning with no way out and paying taxes to sustain their aging Canadian Caucasian population (45-80 year old) . The good paying jobs are given to them folks while you import highly educated populations from other countries and keep them at dead-end jobs like the US.

This is really tragic, but it doesn't seem like anyone is asking what can be done in Mexico, or Venezuela or Guatemala, or wherever, to help create an environment where people can be safe and have real economic opportunity there? You forgot 1 major point-\nAt least here in Canada, we don't have to live in fear of gun violence. We don't send our children only for them to be massacred in their schools. In much poorer Spain, people still have universal education till university, good healthcare, good public transportation system and they don't have to eat the frozen crap most Americans eat. Spanish people eat fresh meat, fruits, cheese and vegetables and drink some of the best wine, despite earning much less than Americans and working astonishingly low hours. Moreover, their cities are livable, not like the concrete jungle of Texas. \n\nYes America is rich but DUDE, Its seriously third world, if you arent rich and successful.

You completely forgot how Canadian government has funding for flee from abused relationship subsidy... not even that there are special shelters for women fleeing relationship with children... infact there is second stage housing thay support womens for 5 years to support them become aelf depended... there are so many grants for studies for such women... some program i know is called DECSA. Besides US there is common shelter for domestic violence and homeless... we move from California to Edmonton... Canada has so many good things but my heart miss California a lot ?

Canada didn't do better than the US in the 2008 recession though. We took out a bigger bailout per capita. It's a common misconception that we did better because our media is state run and did a very good job focusing attention away from Canada's issues and onto the US's.

Some good points were touched on. We need solutions! What does this mean?\n\n- We need some immigration discipline. Yes, it's great to let immigration in, especially ones that pay taxes, but it's overburdening both the rental/housing demand (which needs opposing pressure to lower prices) as well as healthcare demand, which is not being properly addressed. Instead our healthcare system is flooded. And it's inefficient and expensive as is already. We just need to tame the number of people we allow in, and grow our ability to self-sustain first.\n- It's too late now, but government policies to give out money during COVID was poorly executed, yet plentiful. When 40% of currency was printed in the last year/two, no doubt we will have inflation. This was never touched upon in the video. Resources/social supports should have been provided rather than just straight up $$$. There was an excess of money given to places they shouldn't have been. We saw a boom in industries like say hobbies and games, showing additional money being wasted where it should have been used for food and shelter. \n- Canadian government is not trying to be as aggressive to retain Canadian companies. We are heavily dependent on US corporations and hence the brain drain as well. Salaries do not compare, especially when remote work is now possible. \n\nWe are already deep in the hole and need to be more financially responsible. I'd strongly disagree with the last statement in this video that we are perceived as corrupt (there's been lots of civil unrest because of government misspending). We are civil and polite, but that's not what helps economies grow, as OCED forecasts as well.

At least someone is happy to be in america. Feel like alot of people in our country today don’t understand how lucky they are even with all the issues we have of our own. Of course this large influx of people is gonna cripple some of the economy for a while but we should hope the Mexican and other South Americans who do end up staying here after all this are able to lead a productive and good life beside us Americans.

Althought Canada is a inferior business country relative to US. Atleast our banking system is strong, that notion of us being risk averse is a good thing. \nThe 08 crash,and now the current on going banking crisis in the US really tells you the level of risks taken by US firms. \nUS businessess are much quicker to fire you, much faster to destroy unions. For the average working person, Canada offers more. \nOur healthcare is great. I am saying this as a person who has been in and out of surgeries of different types since the age of 5 and still going through some at 24... \n\nCanada is a strong economy with good natural resources to exploit. but it is expensive relative to the US. \n\nMy general view is, for a non-white person, Vancouver, Toronto are great places to be across all of Canada and the US.

As a Canadian I can explain our problem: Our elected PM. He's absolutely gutted our energy sector and has made it clear the only economy that can function in Canada is Quebec & Ontario's economy, which accounts for government employees and white collar workers.\n\nThat's lead to Canadians moving to the US for work, home ownership, lower taxes, etc etc.\n\nCanadians that do stick around: Aren't interested in running a business, they tend to wind up working for the government for that stable income, and the only reliable way to get a good pension w/o managing your own finances.\n\nOur PM blames Canadians who own a house and a rental property rather than the thousands of foreigners who've been let in who buy 5+ properties to collect rental revenue.\n\nBusinesses won't invest in Canada anymore until there's certainty in our economy - And Trudeau ain't offering any guarantees besides wish washy threats to cut sectors.

I think people with You Tube videos promoting Canada as a place to live are paid to do those videos. \nYour assessment regarding Canada is bang on. \nI feel sad for people who come here with the belief that their lives will be better, Only to find out that they are far worse off. \nI've noticed the cost of groceries and housing have tripled in the last few years.\nVery difficult to get a Dr in Canada. 50.000 people in my small province are without a Dr. \nPeople are being neglected by Canada's healthcare system to the point of dying right in the hospital waiting rooms or while waiting for an ambulance. Yet, A huge chunk of taxes go toward healthcare. \nHomeless encampments are on the rise as landlords are gouging people for exorbitant rent. Streets are lined with homeless people and with the high cost of living it could be anyone of us carting our humble belongings around in a shopping cart.\nIf you have children I'd avoid sending them to Canadian schools and opt for homeschooling. Your children will be read to by drag queens while sitting on some strangers lap. \nThis week in class my neighbors son class will be showing boys how to paint their nails. In 2009 I questioned if I could ever own a home but I was still working hard at my career and had some hope if I met the right women to marry. Then along came Justin Trudeau. Within 2 years of his goverment that dream faded fast. Everything I saved and my individual salary still wasn't enough. Property taxes and carbon taxes make it absolutely impossible here in southern Ontario even far a small home not without trying. I always get out bid on the 316 homes I tried to purchase. I can't pay 30%-70% above market value on a single income. Turning in my pensions isn't even an option. I'm not gambling away my retirement with current crrupt Liberal goverment that continues to raise taxes. To give some an idea just how single parents are crushed on taxes. I pay 53% of my income on taxes and get almost nothing back when filing my taxes cause I work hard and excel in my career. I get punished for being a hard work and risking my life to do so. Living in Canada has gotten gradually worse and worse the last 8 years. The socialist way of life isn't good. Now the writing is on the wall that it's becoming a communist country. I'm now searching for employment opportunities south of the border to give my child the best chance to making her dreams a reality. Canada isn't giving me any other options. If everything works out in the US I will surrender my Canadian citizenship at the earliest availability. It breaks my heart but I just can't allow them to enslave me and my child as she becomes an adult. Slavery is the only way I can describe the last 8 years. Also to top it all off 6 if the last 8 year's basic goverment services have been extremely unstable making doing business with Canada very frustrating. Getting a passport during this time has been delay after delay. Finding a family doctor that is stable almost impossible. \n\nCanada's economy status looks good from a far but its really far from good. Our goverment is literally paying 10s of billions in tax dollars to draw auto makers here and to even keep them here. Just further proof the economic future is very unstable. Probably even more so then the housing market. \n\nOur PM isn't even hiding his goverments level of corruption anymore. He actually brags about it at home and on the world stage. \n\n\nI worry about my future more then planing for it. Hopelessness has definitely set in. Now I'm in damage control by no fault of my own to make sure no possible debt are passed on to my daughter in the next 25 years when I'm gone. Even that is looking to be unachievable in my particular situation. It's my worst nightmare to leave my kid with any owing debts.

As a Canadian that works closely with the government, the other issues that the tax rate in Canada is very high. Even you get a good paying job or a profitable business, a significant portion of your paycheck/profits goes to the government. There is also a lot of bureaucratic and legislative hurdles to overcome and too little incentives when trying to start or develop a business. For example, to build a high density residential building, it takes around 1 - 2 years of planning and studies, then another year to get all the permits and government paperwork, then 2 years of construction. It takes around 5 years to build a new residential building. Canada's housing affordability problem is not just simply cause by people willing to buy property, it is also cause by a significant shortage of housing supply due to all these regulations and hurdles. If you can't find affordable housing and your income is also heavily tax, a lot Canadians will go south to the US where things are a lot more affordable.
