Well Germany used to be great, but not anymore. High inflation, expensive rents (not enough homes for families), high taxes, healthcare is not working that fast, lack of digitalization, the pension system does not have a future.\n\nTrains are super late & and super expensive, the salaries are a joke, racism & AfD coming in power and more.\n\nThats why we are planning to leave Germany as well in coming years!

Canada is not a white land. It was colonized by the European people 200 years ago.

Immigrants often receive significantly lower salaries compared to their German counterparts and may feel unwelcome. The government provides information in multiple languages, but often in ways that are difficult to understand. It can take 2-3 years to learn the German language to a B2-C1 level, and even then, language proficiency is frequently used as an excuse to reject job applicants. There seems to be resistance to hiring expats, as they may bring changes to a system that some Germans prefer to keep as it is. Before considering working in Germany, it’s important to think carefully and weigh your options.

Go figure why the Silicone Valley (which uses a lot of skilled immigrants) is in the US and not Germany. It is also helpful to check the expanding gap of GDP per capita between Germany and the US over the past 10 years!

I have been living in Germany since 6 years and so far I have 1 German friend ?, probably I'll get a new one in the next six years

This is all politcally driven. There are actually very few jobs available. There are hundred of applications at very job ad posted by all the companies I know. I keep asking HR people, where are all these advertised jobs in channels like this? Can DW actually make a study on this? I literally know also many German students who struggle on getting their first jobs, taking up to 1 year.. DW please explain this huge discrepancy

Germany does not need skilled workers, they are looking for cheap and German speaking workers, I have been looking for IT job for almost a year now, as soon as a new job post is on LinkedIn 100 post on it.

It’s not on the rise. It rose ages ago and has been boiling away, ignored, for about 40 years.

my neighbors, a Syrian refugee family residing in Glenforest, Mississauga, Ontario. \nThe family arrived here three years ago and is receiving various social security benefits. However, I have observed that the father is working illegally in a butcher shop while the family continues to benefit from social security and other grants. They appear to have multiple sources of income, live in a free house, and are purchasing substantial amounts of gold, a new car, and their children are receiving educational benefits. This situation seems to be inconsistent with the financial situation of many hard-working individuals in our community. \nMy father has reported this issue to the Canada Revenue Agency, but we have not seen any follow-up or resolution. I am concerned about the fairness of this situation and how it affects the integrity of the benefit system.

My family came to Canada in the early 80s, invested over $200,000 for 3 businesses over 35 years, employing over 30 Canadians. That's what I thought immigration was, a contribution to Canada's growth in exchange for our citizenship. That Canada must gain something before I am allowed to live in this country. Apparently, that's no longer the case.

How thousands of asylum seekers have turned Roxham Road into a de facto border crossing \nClose to 50,000 have entered Canada at the unofficial border crossing point in just two years YES immigrants are leaving Canada ..NOT .MORON!!!

The leftists answer to over crowding is for the tax payers to pay to build homes for 40 year old immigrants who will work for less and take jobs. Naw brah.
2024-08-12 0
I love my fellow Canadians, I even used to work in Brampton and bus home with all the immigrants, now living in the west coast. Over the course of 20 years I’ve watched this country go from class to trash.

Britain has voted against immigration for years and have been ignored maybe that's why ?

Turkey has a longer land border with EU country, Bulgaria than Greece. Yet almost all illegal migrant flows from Turkey are deliberately directed towards Greece only. The journalist did NOT wobder or investigate why?\nBS Journalism.\nTurkey over the years has directly or indirectly earned billions and billions as an illegal international human trafficking hub. How cone illegal migrants from ALL OVER and all directions..from Bangladesh to Lebanon, from Morocco to Nigeria and Somalia, all sonehow end up in Turkey trying to cross over to Greece. Why they end up in Turkey to cross over to Greece and not another non-EU country, closer to their end destination in western Europe, i.e\nLet's say Albania, Bosnia etc. The Journalist did not wonder how come and investigate?\nBS Journalism...

Statistics show that half of the new immigrants in the photo op at the end will have voluntarily left Canada within the next 5 -10 years. Many to the US, and most of the rest back to their home countries, as they will find that Canada is not a place to come to to get ahead. Canada is over-hyped for sure. I know, I came to Canada and then left after 10 years to the US, where opportunities are far, far better. Save yourselves a decade of wasted time and come to the US straight away.

These politicians go on n on about democracy this, democracy that. Who in the west voted for this ? It’s about time ppl start talking about this. This conversation should of happened many years ago !

Why not Traedu and Doug Ford hiring more judges to speed up . Tenancy board is one year behind. Bearocracy enjoying huge salaries. They don't care what is happening with real estate market and tenants are taking advantage

Meh in a few years it probably won't even be called Canada anymore. Definitely won't be long before Shari Law is put in so that will be interesting.

Canada, a country with a gigantic amount of land , but no population, complaining, really..?? Or can this be another manipulation of the media to exploit xenophobia..?? Canada vast majority of terrain is EXTREMELY COLD WILDERNESS, WITH VERY FEW CITIES, FULL OF WILD ANIMALS, GREAT FOR FISHING, HUNTING, BUT NOT SUITABLE FOR HUMANS, THAT PLACE IS EXTREMELY OUTRAGEOUSLY COLD. KEEP CANADA FOR THE BEARS AND CARIBUS. BUT FOR PEOPLE TO LIVE THERE? NO. CANADIANS THEMSELVES LIVE THERE FROM APRIL TO SEPTEMBER, THE REST OF THE YEAR THEY ARE IN SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA, ARIZONA, OR FLORIDA, OR ANYWHERE IN THE CARIBBEAN OR LATINAMERICA. THE ONLY EXCEPTION IS VANCOUVER, BUT THE REST OF THAT COUNTRY NOBODY CAN LIVE THERE DURING THE WINTER MONTHS. SO, STOP SPREADING LIES ABOUT CANADA POPULATION, BECAUSE WHAT CANADA NEEDS IS MORE PEOPLE. BUT NOBODY WANTS TO BE THERE - NOT EVEN THE FREAKING CANADIANS!! THAT'S PLACE IS EXTREMELY COLD!!

The aging population theory requires immigrants to maintain gdp. The problem is a huge lack of government assistance with housing, healthcare, social services, ect. This seems to be increasing homelessness globally to the point laws are being passed to combat homelessness now. Crazy times when the solution of increasing government aid and assistance is rejected year after year

I don't really understand this graphic. How many immigrants from each country have come to Canada in total? But then how come some of the numbers go down in later years? It's not how many come each year because the numbers are too high. We did not get 967k British immigrants in 1967, nor 700k in 1987. Nor 300k Italians in 1999.

What is the immigration process and feeling at the moment in Somalia, Sudan, Syria, Nigeria and the other 30 countries that top tne global list of cou tries with the highest birthrates on the planet? \nHow welcoming are they? \nHow many Canadians emigrated to the Congo last year? \nWhy not ask those questions?

The Arabs people already took over all the Middle East that actually conquered a lot of land that wasn’t there is to begin with and now they saying free Palestine. This is the only land that belong to the Jewish people and they want to. They have so many countries to go to, why do you have to take the only country that Jews live in from thousands of years way before the end of this week in nation

More Canadians are leaving major cities or Canada in general. The quality of life has dropped so much more in recent years but there were signs earlier right about 2009 when the market crashed. The Canadian dream is over

2024-08-11 0
Honestly, Canada is not the same as 15 years ago. It has changed drastically a few years before the pandemic. Basically, since Trudeau became the PM.?

Hello family, who has an experience with Passage loan at APR 11.95% compounded? My sister intends applying for a one year program with George Brown College and is mandatorily taking a loan of 57000 CAD$ as an international student with 84 months tenor to clear. Pls share any experiences on the ease of paying loan as a student with one year PGWP in Ontario after graduation. Your suggestions would be highly appreciated. If there are more affordable pgwp eligible colleges in hospitality with high acceptance rate, let me know.\n\nThanks to Peter and all of you you.

It's not like this needed to be investigated. Guy said it early: an influx of more than 1 million people last year alone People notice this. Worse, a lot of these people don't seem to be upwardly mobile. It's importing a desperate underclass who are dragging living standards down. People in a 1st world country don't want to live 4 to a bedroom to try and compete with the new arrivals.
2024-08-11 0
1 million people a year? Well, here the UK is tiny compared to Canada and WE are bringing in nearly 1mil a year, too.

All the people that are excited and wanting to vote for Harris, this will be the next 4 years non-stop they could stop it right now but they won't so why would they in the next 4 years.

All Indians. We have 1 million international students from India that they came to Canada last year, the only intention is to cros the border to USA

Immigration from countries ravaged by climate change was predicted 20 years ago. It was known that this would happen. It is happening to all countries in the northern hemisphere. Its reality. Humans will just have to adjust and not resort to cruelty.

We called this out years ago for you Canadians. Warned if you didn't change your immigration policies, you would be in the same boat that we Americns are in. No country in the history of the world survived open borders. Not one. America and Canada are making the same mistake. And if history is any lesson, both our countries will see epic civil unrest in the future. Guaranteeed.\n\nThe Canadian dream has become just like the American dream, you have to be asleep, to believe it.

I have been a PR for 4 years and have aboslutely loved it

It is definitely Trudeau's policies on immigration that causes this overflow of immigrants. Too much is too much! Put the breaks on immigration before it gets to the point of riots like what is happening in the UK , Ireland, the Netherlands, Germany etc. I completely switch my views on immigration in the last two years. We are being abused by the system of immigration in Canada. And let's dump the liaison with the WEF.

Foreigners quickly become citizens, no need to wait ten years yet they still complain.

Add AI to this mix\nIf AI displaces 20–80% of jobs over the next 3 - 20 years, and we keep bringing in tens of millions of unskilled immigrants, they are going to be more Fůkt, than if they stayed in their 3rd world country where AI would probably have less impact for longer
2024-08-10 0
The more we bring in, the higher the deficit every year. We’ve brought in millions of immigrants and have the highest spending in Canadian history. Coincidence ? I think not.
2024-08-10 0
Because we brought in 4 million people in 4 years and hour housing/economy can't keep up with that.

Rental? That the least of the deadly issues, we have urgent care and ERs shutting down daily because no staff, 50% have no G.P., wait times for essential surgeries 5+ years, this is a nightmare hellscape.

Easy fix. Send back anyone who came after the year 2000, anyone who came through marriage that divorced, and anyone who came that commited a serious crime that is still living.
