How can covering your face bring you closer to Islam? Fecking rubbish.

This Muslim are really lazy. they run away from their country and come to another man country to cry for food. go back to your Islamic country and fight for your land . we don't need your bulshit preaching . take all your women and if you like cover their entire body we don't care. just don't bring it to London\n.

I live in Ontario and just saw a 5 yr. old girl totally covered. Why come here only to continue with those traditions? I thought these immigrants wanted a different life.\nOhhh Canada. Would they stand on guard for thee?

At the end of the day....ALOT of women need to work and can't rely on a man which means they won't be covering their head/face because the bills need to be paid.

The Niquab is not a requirement in Islam. It's HER personal choice. Even the head scarf is debated but seems to be the norm as a requirement for Muslim women. But many Muslim women do not cover their face and hair. Many wear ALOT of makeup.

The woman that are Islam are not violet. It's the men in some groups that are. I think woman should cover if they want to. Maybe they don't want to give that power to men to tell them to take it off. As a Muslim living in Canada, I don't see the harm in a woman wanting to cover herself, I wear the head scarf myself, but in my opinions I don't feel the need to cover myself to prove I am more modest or a better Muslim.  I believe everyone has free will and has the right in this Country to dress the way that the law has allowed them to.  No one has the right to tell someone how to dress, not even the Prime Minister himself.  Telling a woman what she can and cannot wear is oppression.  I truly believe that if Muslims want to live in Western civilization, then they should refrain from covering their faces because the face is our identity and People have the right to know who you are and what your face looks like.  You cannot vote with a covered face, you cannot cover your face in a passport photo, you cannot cover your face for your driver's licence etc... I am a Muslim woman and I say this.  It truly is a shame how the media is portraying Islam and the Muslim people as a whole, and it truly is a shame that Canadians have become so ignorant.  I see more ignorance and racism in Canada than I do in America and 9/11 took place in America.  If you want to know about Islam, learn about Islam from a Muslim, a Library, google Islam, or offer to spend a few days with a Muslim family for research to get a better understanding of Islam and Muslims.  As a Muslim myself I can understand the hatred and the ignorance because we act according to how we were taught and raised, and yes we have many extremists claiming to follow the Islamic faith.  These extremists are not only hurting Western civilization, but they are also hurting the peaceful moderate Muslims that value their rights and freedoms as Canadians.  I do not appreciate ISIS hijacking my religion, I do not appreciate Hamas or Hezballah hijacking my Religion because I am a very accepting person and a very open minded Muslim and to be defined by media as a problem or a terrorist is very hurtful and a shame.

Muslim dont want to be part of our world. It does not matter if they are jihadis or just regular Mosk goer. It has nothing to od with covering the face. Steven Harper do a very good job to fight it. If there is an Islamophobia, it is their fault.

When someone decides to hide themselves while out in public... they are effectively insulting the public. They are saying, 'I can see you but you can't see me... I am superior to you'. Awful. We should all be able to see each other out of respect for each other. Muslims complain about a lack of respect for their religion and culture but they don't respect other religions and cultures e.g. face covering. This is simply not compatible with the freedoms, liberties and openness that I grew up with and stand for.

God gave us a face with the ability to make gestures so we can communicate. When I look at a niqab covered lady I lose any desire to communicate. And if I'm not mistaken they won't talk to me anyway as I'm an unrelated male. So to say that they are marginalised is true but it is through their own choice. What I find really strange as a westerner living in Indonesia (world's most populous Muslim nation) is that I see more niqabs in Australia (home country) than what I do here in Indonesia.

Those women are lying, They cannot tell the truth because the will be shunned by their families. I know a lot of muslims and they all say the same thing, The Hijab is worn because they believe that the Quran teaches women are not equal and that they must wear the head covering so they do not Tempt men.\n\n It's basically a way of men having control over women. Bottom line: The security forces cannot do its job when people are walking around with their faces covered.  It's the perfect excuse for all who really do pose a threat.

Those muslim women are not truthful . the body covering is so men are  tempted  for sex . Muslim  young men have almost no contact with young women in muslim countries . where there is a higher degree of  gay sex in the male population ..

This might a little of topic but many of the practices that Muslims do are very good health wise \n\n1) while making wudo (a special wash before prayer) when we rinse our nose with water to that cleans until the the bone at the top of our nose is so good that it actually finishes allergies like if you have pollen allergy because when you clean it is getting less sensitive and more stronger I know someone (I've met someone) that had an allergy with fur or something and they made wudo very often and in actually 2 years they had no allergies\n\n2) when we pray:\nThere was a young man who wasn't so practising so he didn't pray he spent his time working out and doing track and field during one of his runs he fell and fractured a bone when the went to the doctor (non Muslim doctor) he told the guy to do some actions that will help in recovering his bones and the acts that the doctors showed him were the actions we do in our prayer, the guy decided to do these actions but not by itself but in his prayer and this was giving to him by a person that wasn't even Muslim!\n\n3) when Muslims cover ourselves many guys don't hit on us because when we cover ourselves its a sign so show that we are not into these kinds of stuff \nIf you want to see proof search up walking in NYC for 10 hours by AreWeFamousNow\n\nSo next time you say that we are crazy doing this stupidity we are protecting ourselves and we are treating our body good health wise.
