Unfortunately I feel like i have to start by stating that I’m not a racist. I enjoy the flavors of culture throughout the world. But, and there’s always a but, I don’t like feeling like an outsider in the community I was born and raised in. Rules at the work place , different. Their religious rights alters the shared experience but allows for bad prsctice. Walking around talking on your phone all day is dangerous, exclusive, un professional discourteous and isolating. Safety gear ppe all different rules too. We are living in parallel realities. Its all short term and oppositional. Used to be called unworkable ! Thecommunity becomes Asian. Rules at council level alter bemteeen racial cultural preference. Parking on pavements before migration: dangerous, illegal, banned, fines penalties car removal. Where I live (Asian community) cars parked with Asian wardens waving the others by and creating traffic chaos, blocked un passable walk ways and pavements it breaks all the rules we were fined for, but a new norm without question in this community. Its isolating and disorientating but hey, its the new way. I think India has a lot to offer the world . And we have had a lot of it arrive , too much, according to many. This without anyone asking, discussing, debating, informing, admitting to the native populous. Its polite if nothing else, to respect the customs and the hosts of the place u arrive. Reality — these migrants bring their whole culture, family, friend group, political beliefs, problems and traditions with them. Humans and our stuff .\nFor government's to manage this project in such a sneaky and secretive way, adds to the problems.

What is the root cause of the divide in the living conditions between Indian newcomers and Canadian born people? Indians rarely get into bad habits like alcohol or drug abuse. Indians can work hard to improve their skillset to cater to the demand of the economy. Maybe born Canadians have taken the system for granted and become entitled, and don't want to put in the hard work to adapt to the changing economy or job needs. Maybe all they do is complain. I have been in this country all my life and have 2 children who was born here and have college degree. Now they can't even find a job for over 4 months. Born and raised Canadian. It was extremely odd seeing in real time all the companies flip to selling Indian products within a 6 month period and almost every low wage job being taken by indians. The worst part is I know several people coming out of highschool who simply can't find their first job because theres just zero low skill jobs left for us.

To be honest the massive flood of Indian immigrants and students is ruining the country. Jobs being given to people who will take less wage then a Canadian born worker with same experience, lack of housing for Canadians and immigrants. I'm a dual citizen of the USA and Canada (born in Dallas Texas, now lived in Canada since age 7). I agree with your point about American's being kind but getting a bad rap. I think a big part of that is due to media because for the most part you hear about the bad news about what Americans have done but you rarely hear about the wonderful sides of American people.

Canadian here, born and bred in Toronto. Just where are you getting those housing prices for Canada $550,000 per house??! As I live very close to Toronto just to get into the housing market now you need at least $1 million Canadian. I think it down payment now is $50,000 or more. I don’t think you could find a house in Canada for $550,000 unless maybe a live weigh in the sticks maybe Tim or talk to Tuck and the northwest territories.\n\nI have visited America and, I definitely would rather live in Canada. I was born here and it's too difficult to pay my rent which asks me at least 2 weeks of pay. Then you have to pay for the electricity, the phone and eat. Often I eat cereal for supper. My mom immagrated to canada in the 1900s, she was originally from korea and came here for a better way of life. She has met my Canadian born father and has fully integrated into Canadian society while still holding on to her costoms. Despite being a immigrant, she is horrified on how many new immigrants are coming into Canada and destroying the foundation of Canadian culture and society.

I’m Indian, born and raised in Canada. My parents came here in 1994 and they made the best decision for our future. We adjusted to Canadian culture and have respect for the country that gave us opportunity. It makes me disgusted seeing my own kind come here and make a mockery of such a good country. i was born here in 87... my rent when i was 16y.o was 400$/month for a 5bedroom house. The same today would be over 3500/month..
