?? should take care of the ones who have been In this country for years paying taxes and having NO criminal record. ?? is such a joke letting these new people come in for free while putting us hard working ones a side. We give our all for this country in hopes to one day get accounted for and receive some type of status yet they make it even harder and prefer to deport us but give new opportunities to these new immigrants whom they don’t know nothing about? what a shame

Wow! That was wild. Here in San Ysidro everything was calm and actually civil. People waited their turn. I live nearby so I saw it with my own eyes. People at las Americas outlet would pass by food to them and the officers gave them the food. I was an immigrant 35 years ago I am now a us citizens and although I love the USA, I will always remember the struggles I had to go through. The hunger, the injustice, the reject and the cultural assimilation, learning a new language, and work work work until I couldn’t no more. All those efforts paid off and I believe EVERYONE has a right to have a better life. I have family members in Canada and Europe who are also immigrants and also go through these struggles. If they don’t make it to the USA, I hope the Mexican government takes advantage of this immigration influx, after all, the USA is great because of us. It’s time other countries take advantage and advance as well ??

I came to New York when i was 12 with my parents who immigrated… i got my green card at 33 ….. they are not privileged i went through so much pain and suffering to get my US passport this males me sick to my stomach… apply and wait .

Rent WILL BE MORE THEN NEW YORK… and that doesn’t even touch the traffic as our roads and freeways weren’t built to sustain 4 million people, AND THE WORST OF ALL… our water … we’re all ready having to do severe cut backs cause we’re draining the Colorado river and lake mead and lake Powell … we would kill our natural resources within years …\n\nAnd sorry to say but that many immigrants that fast - in one year . Mexicans would be the dominant population no question by double … they don’t have insurance, speak English , there culture is drastically different … just look at what small amounts can do to certain areas … I know I don’t want my houses in my neighborhoods painted yellow, pink, and merrachi music blasting till 3 am from every neighbor - I say that cause it literally just happened to me as I had to sell my house cause several houses were bought up around me and swathes of them moved in and the entire neighborhood did a 180 real fast… and who do you think pays for every single one of them and there food cards , health insurance , there WIC baby money , there school, there housing .. How could you make this video and not mention Immigration?! Canada is the global assimilation factory, boasting over 1m new residents this year, they don't need GDP, people bring other countries wealth there.

There has been little investment in infrastructure to match the demand of population requirements of the new immigrants. Health care is unable to keep up with the increasing demand. Furthermore the immigrants are needed to work at low paying jobs ($16/hour) when it has been conservatively estimated that workers need a minimum of $23/ hour to just survive. Housing starts cannot be met as there are not enough trained workers to fulfill demand. New residents are finding the country's living resources lacking. Taxes are very high in comparison to wages as well.

Canada doesn’t have an economy anymore: it only relies on an outdated 1970s immigration system to keep boosting its population growth by around 1% a year! The immigrants are required to bring in roughly $10k per person which quickly evaporates within the ‘economy’ as most new comers struggle to,find decent jobs in the first 1-2 years of their arrival. So the ponzi scheme continues. Why do new arrivals put up with this? Well especially after Covid, vast majority of new arrivals are from countries where the economic situation is desperate. If you see new immigrants they are dominated (immigrants plus student visas) by one country - a large democratIC country on a large continent - most are effectively desperate economic refugees but the sleepy govt’s in Canada don’t care: let social devices get stretched, no cannot find a decent family doctor in any urban area, rents keep,sky rocketing, yet just let immigrants esp from one former ‘jewel in the crown’ come in unchecked!

Immigration boom is our new slave class here to service our mortgages on our inventiment properties. As well filling our labour jobs that pay minimum wage that no one wants to work. I love our new Indian slave class, made me wealthy as well as my friends. Don't have to worry about unions, living wage bs, benefits, etc in our businesses. Just good 'ol cheap labour. Shame so many have given up and gone back home. But lots more coming in to replace them.

big problem with the housing is also trudeau taking in so many immigrants and refugees before having enough available housing for everybody. I think they were taking in 200k people a year. while we need atleast 1million new houses within the next 10 years in order to supply enough to the population. There was also an issue with forieign purchases where people from other countries were buying houses in canada and nobody living in them. Trudeaus votes comes from majority indian people and arabic since thats a lot of the population in canada, and to win those votes and get more hes friendly with them accepting a lot of immigrants from those countries, its not a bad thing since a lot are very well educated and their peaceful people for the most part, but the problem is there isn't enough housing. Even renting has become competitive , owning is near impossible without help. Trudeau really messed up the country, houses are riduclously expensive and they often go into bidding wars if in a good area, banks interest rates keep going up now, loans are harder to take out, sadly we need to limit the amount of immigrants that come into the country until the right number of houses are built in the country, if anything new and major cities need ot be build in other locations with jobs in order to get more people spread out around the provinces. Once there is enough houses and jobs i believe the doors should be open to whomever wishes to come (obviously with a background check) but until then there should be a limit so the houses stop going up.

What we need is to disband the Department of Homeland Security, and then to roll up the Border Patrol,Customs and Border Protection, and Immigration and Customs Enforcement with the United States Coast Guard into a new Armed Forces branch that I'd call the United States Border Guard, which would have military jurisdiction over the borders, the coastlines and the airports.

Apartments are getting built up left & right, as far as I see in both Toronto & Montreal and their suburbs. In 2020 the price of a single bedroom in Longui.... Long-island just over the navigation channel from Montreal sold for $ 110,000, with a maintenance fee of just $ 250 monthly, which includes hydro (electric power) and electric heating, insurance on shared parts, a generous underground parking large for 2 small cars or a large car & motorcycle, indoor heated pool, gym, sauna.... and that large bedroom some have split in two because why not!\nSure, the same thing sells nowadays for double, but as new developments go up, the price HAS TO come down. I locked in the rent so I'm somewhat insulated, but high rents are a huge drag on the economy. Those Have To be pulled back too, or immigrants will go for friendlier shores. If cheap housing isn't available, there's No Cheap Labor to be had, and North America was Built on Cheap labor (as far as the people already here were concerned; in relation with the usual wage in immigrants' homeland, it was a really good deal).

Awesome video! This country can still attract new immigrants but will have a hard time retaining them. No growth in wage in the foreseeable future with continuous inflation in housing and food will drive people out.

As an immigrant in Canada I would never reinvest the money I get here. I rather put it into US stocks or buy property outside the country. It’s impossible buy here and don’t be fooled it’s not because of immigration but lack of new housing and building permits.

In history class I learned that boats used to transport immigrants to both New York (Europeans) and California (Asians). My point is: Why is it a problem letting our closest neighbors in? Central Americans and South Americans. We share the name .

Some of your points are great - some are regional - housing issues are definitely a problem in some cities - Toronto and Vancouver are ridiculous- Calgary at the moment has tight inventory- landlord issues really depend on where you live. Taxes are due April 30th not the 1st. It can be difficult to get hired in your trained profession as an immigrant for the reasons you’ve shared. Our company consists of about 80 percent new immigrants, but we need people with Canadian work experience on their resume. It is costly training - and firing is something we DON’T want to do. So we need good references to hopefully avoid that issue. You were very fortunate to get a Dr so quickly. Again the specialist referral issue truly is more about your Dr than the system. A lousy Dr won’t refer patients because they don’t have the contacts. It’s more complicated than you’ve shared. I have had no problems with referrals because I’ve had good Drs. New Drs will have a harder time and unfortunately those are the ones taking new patients- hopefully those issues change as they get established.

Canada needs new immigrants but this is the wrong way to go about it.

If we had an immigration program where after passing a background anyone can join a roving us work immigration camp where for 5 years they’ll work and get free education afterwards so they can save and pick up american work and life culture. \nFor 5 years every new migrant will be building roads, laying water and electric lines and building homes and neighborhoods. This will bring cost of living way down here in the USA while doing a faster better job of Americanizing our newcomers. We would be able to rise our population level really fast without harming the American white picket fence dream. \nLastly the program won’t be available for just migrants, our own people can get guaranteed work if they would like to join the program.

President Biden might want to put together a task force made up primarily of those from border states and those with large immigrant populations. The task force can be requested to make an up-to-date assessment with our successes and failures, a new list of goals with steps to get there, as well as new ideas to try out on current problems, while suggesting new policies and government procedures. Whatever we're doing it just isn't working anymore so we must do better. Immediately, please.

These people are demanding without any respect to the American laws... unbelievable! New York is so overpopulate that it seems like a 3rd world country in some places, immigrants selling all kind of crap on the sidewalk like they do in their own countries..you can listen people speaking Spanish for blocks in certain parts of new York and if you talk to them in English they get angry, believe me it happened to me. He was telling me his family of five all in with a free housing voucher, food voucher, smart phone voucher, electricity voucher, transportation allowance, 100% total coverage for much needed dental care, the best of all they receive a gargantuan $7400 a month in cash benefit allowance for the entire family. Although it’s kind of sad that my friendly neighbor, Mr. Lu Juan Jesus Garcia-Mendoza briefly states every single time I see him as always kind of rubbing it in, that he sends back $5,000* every month to his other wife and kids? ????

We have to help our own people that are here in the US that are struggling before letting any new immigrants in!! I understand that people want to come to the US for freedom and for better jobs and a better life.... BUT OUR GOVERNMENT CAN BARELY HELP OUR OWN CITIZENS!! I've been saying it for years, buidling a wall, or tightening immigration is a waste of time when you can just put machine gun emplacements with interlocking fields of fire all over the border. I feel so sad about this new order regarding immigrants. So many of these people have hopes and dreams the same as we do. Basically, everyone in CANADA is or was or is a descendant of Immigrants. Cost less to give New Mexico state to all immigrant legal or not then it is cheaper to extract there labor to pay for cost dealing with border

Why not set up a program financed by their home country and ours to get them physically and financially healthy to work or start businesses in their home country? There is hardly any upward mobility in blue collar jobs, ever more so in the labor market. If they are not making $40K/year (assuming the majority has not a college degree in something marketable, advanced skills, a tradesman or artisan) then they’re struggling like everyone else in the service industry. Jobs for teenagers, entry level workers, part time jobseekers like for students, people needing extra income cause it’s so expensive in CA, NY, Austin, TX, Chicago or SF living off work entry-level service jobs. Technology has created a shortage or labor gap between unskilled jobs. Jobs that Americans need while pursuing training or technical degrees for the new skilled jobs. \n\nImmigrants do not need to fit the stereotypes of working in the service industry or as farm workers. American citizens can fill these labor positions quite easily. No, immigrants, work visa or not, do not work any harder, smarter, slower or faster than anyone else wanting to work. If someone is motivated to work an unskilled labor job then they will be just as effective as the next person. The HR for these companies definitely virtue signal and satisfy diversity quotas every time they hire someone due to their work status or ethnicity. Everyone and anyone can be replaced and so the question is, who do you, as an employer, want to replace the job vacancy with? Gonna hire cause they are a good fit or because your helping some politicians cause? Gonna grant asylum cause their lives are in danger from a government firing squad or because Biden/Harris will pat you on the back? \n\nThere is reason to illegally enter this country and it is disrespectful, disgraceful, dishonorable, dishonest and disheartening to the ones who are here legally by going through the process like everyone else paying time and money. Even Christopher Columbus paid to be here, no one handed him a free ticket to ‘paradise.’ The Mayflower patrons weren’t met with resistance by the indigenous community, they were harmonious. If there was a border in Maryland at Plymouth Rock, I am sure the Puritans would stop there first to get their passports stamped. There is a huge backlog on legal applications for a lots of immigrants who applied legally, families torn apart and have long weight. They are already in the USA, there are sanctuary cities, New York was just dumping them off there. We tax payers are flipping the bills for them while so many Canadians are living on the streets. Those who are mad and outrage by this, you can go ahead and sponsor them, that mean you are legally responsible for all their expenses. As Canadians, even when we cross the border we got to have our passport and we go through a lots of scrutiny. Fill out the paperwork and wait to be processed, because right now we are already in crisis with lodging and food. USA is the one who must take care of those who cross their borders.

I see the harm in that border crossing when Roxham road was open it was dangerous and illegal, I don't see why Migrant reports and Human rights groups are upset about the closure it's keeping the migrants safe and that law will not break in Canada, and I Immigrated here legally 41 years ago from Persecution in Somalia. Those who sneak through the borders will break the law and those who come through the border will obey the laws in Canada. The new migrants have entitlements, thinking that the law doesn't apply to them because they are migrants.
