Canada's passport as of now is respected world wide. As Canadians we dont need visa to enter the US or visiting Europe. Trudeau is destroying what every canadian has till now taken for granted. I've lived in Canada for the past 40+ years - most of my life - having also been born in Eastern Europe. We are also strongly considering leaving this place, which is NOTHING like it used to be. I don't recognize any of its values or culture anymore. We are also looking at Eastern Europe primarily. We shall see. All the best to you!

My life is good enough but I'm older than you and was able to buy a house, etc... My kids on the other hand.... I worry for them. Both of them just got their EU citizenship, but I'm not sure if Europe is any better (I don't know yet). I'm anxious to see where you end up. \n\nSidenote, my mother's side is Ukrainian and settled in east rural Saskatchewan in the early 1900s. Ukrainians are the most hospitable and wonderful people, and growing up, when I would go visit them, it was almost as if I was in Ukraine, not Canada. The language, the food, etc... it was wild and I never appreciated it for what it was until I was much older.

What I don't get is, why aren't Westerns getting the same applause when they immigrate to eastern countries? The solution now is strict immigration laws and border laws. Everyone that is not a USA citizen must be sent back to their country. Visa cards. Passports. Hungary has the top security system (google) to keep immigrants out of the country. Worse. Thief and crime have skyrocketed! Everyone in NYC are robbing anyone they see and stores are\nclosing. They don't get arrested because anything under $1000 is not a criminal offense. The USA needs to get a grip! These people are asking for handouts, which means the USA poor will not get benefits.
